  • "The property was comfortable and warm, in a very quiet, relaxing location."

Bathroom is presented well. Kitchen had all the essentials that we needed. We visited Carnglaze Caverns, Goliath Falls, Restormel Castle and Sibylback Lake, all worth a visit. Overall a great stay at Brook Cottage.

  • "Nice little cottage, all the amenities except washing machine."

Clean and well looked after with lots of cooking utensils, pans and crockery. Water pressure not great, runs quite slow sometimes. Good base for seeing Cornwall, the beaches nearby are lovely.

Thank you for your review very pleased to hear that you had a good holiday. We agree that it is a good base for seeing Cornwall. We do not have a washing machine as the site is run on a bio waste system and when we bought Bungalow it stated in deeds that washing machines and dishwashers were not allowed. Property Owner

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Brook Cottage."

It’s a real home from home. The cottage was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. The location is perfect for seeing the sights of Cornwall and the holiday village is peaceful and well maintained. The welcome gift was also much appreciated. We would definitely return.

  • "At a glance, all was nice."

The bathroom is fitted with a lovely corner shower and very modern. Bedrooms were nice. However, there was damp in the twin bedroom causing bed linen to feel wet. There is a heating system in place. This didn’t fully work until day 4. There was alternative heating in the property we used. It advertises it has wifi. Unfortunately, this didn’t work for us. No fault of ours though. The property wasn’t its cleanest either. I did fully clean it though as I didn’t want the owner to think it was our mess. We cut our holiday short by 2 days due to this. I did report all of this to Sykes cottages, who were very understanding and also concerned. The owner did pay back £100 compensation.

Sorry you were unhappy with your stay. We have have not had problems with Wi fi this year but some devises do need to go into settings to connect. The bed rooms will be redecorated this year before lettings begin The storage heater in this property are new last year and were switched on the day before your arrival .As everyone knows it is very expensive now to leave them on longer than necessary. In are visitors book that is left in the bungalow we have had very positive comments on all are visitors during 2022 some booking to return thisyear. Property Owner

  • "Quiet and peaceful setting for a holiday cottage."

Owners quick to respond to queries and rectify any issues. Would highly recommend the location as a great base to explore Cornwall and Devon from. Driving on Cornwall's roads can be interesting, but Liskeard railway station is a short drive away. Public transport connects Liskeard with the rest of Cornwall.

  • "Brook cottage is a beautiful little place, that offers a real warm and welcoming abode to spend a holiday."

Its not like staying in holiday accommodation. The moment we arrived, it felt like home. From the surprise welcome bottle of wine, well thought out and informative information pack, to the cleanliness, incredibly comfortable beds and the fantastically well equipped kitchen (as opposed to the usual one of everything for each person) . I knew i had been blessed when i chose this for my family. Rosecraddoc itself is just as perfect. Its peaceful, safe for kids and dogs alike, if like us you prefer peace over entertainment and frills then this is the place to be. Central to everywhere you could want to visit as a tourist, but far enough away from the crowds to feel like you can come away from a busy day, relax and recharge before your next adventure. We met owners of other properties, other holiday goers and the owner of the site, every one of them just lovely. Came home today (04/09/21) and already planning our return next august. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for everything ❤️

  • "The cottage is in a great location (although the postcodes incorrect on the booking confirmation), really central to everywhere we wanted to visit & great for the dog too!"

The welcome gifts were a great added bonus & they had so many kitchen tools available it was great :) However it needs some serious work done to modernise the bathroom, without the non-slip mat being provided for the shower I’m not sure I would have got in it as the staining made it look unclean. We also had quite heavy rain while we were there and the main bedroom roof started leaking into the socket underneath, and above the radiator. To give them credit, when we called them about it someone came round the same afternoon to try & fix it (the hosts daughter & her husband are lovely & really helpful!). This fix resolved the more severe one above the socket but the one above the radiator was still happening a few nights later when we had more rain. Overall it was a nice stay but the place needs a bit of a makeover to stop it being a health & safety concern!

In answer to this review it was the first problem we have had with a leak in the roof, a roofing company called the same day and a temporary fix was done. They have it in hand to carry out a larger, permanent job ASAP. We agree the bathroom does need updating, and was planned for last year, however, due to Covid-19 restrictions, we had to put this on hold. Having let the bungalow for the last 4 years, this is the first time a comment has been made about the bathroom. Property Owner

  • "Enjoyed it overall, the owners were welcoming and polite."

Followed the guidelines for covid, leaving us a nice little package with masks and hand sanitizer. The only negative is that the bungalow needs a little tlc, it was a little dusty and the oven hobs were temperamental. It met our expectations and needs though and we enjoyed our stay, would book again.

  • "Chalet was just as stated which was great for us being a family of 3 and a dog."

If I had to point out anything it would that the folder with info could be updated a bit e.g only 1 key left for us not 2 as stated and it was lacking in takeaway menus. Also I read there was woodlands close by to walk my dog but I couldn’t see anything within walking distance and the chalet park requires dogs kept on leads so was a little limited. Thanks
