  • "Thank you very much!"

We had a lovely stay, and had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the property, especially the views, and the proximity to the beach. We were very comfortable, and the property was very clean, with nice bed linen and towels, and we were well supplied with loo-roll, soap, cleaning sprays, dishwasher tabs, coffee pods etc. We loved the new decor. Please would you arrange for the dripping ensuite shower to be fixed, as even if fully turned off, it dripped noisily all night, and the temperature control was poor, being either scalding hot, or luke warm. The left hand oven did not heat up to temperature even after 20 mins and therefore couldn't be used. A second sofa (or ideally an L-shaped sofa) upstairs would be fabulous as the grey chairs were not hugely comfortable, and this is the place we most wanted to hang out in because of the views. Thank you so much. We hope to return next year.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. All suggestions/comments can be viewed by the property owner so these are appreciated. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Having stayed at The Point 14 years ago when it was immaculate we were disappointed to see how it had deteriorated in terms of the following: 1."

Unable to regulate temperature of showers which were scalding hot and dripped. 2. One of the ovens we could not get up to temperature to cook with. 3. TVs didn’t work 4. The property was generally in need of renovation. 5. Fridge freezer doors and handles along with some of the utensils were grubby and had to be washed before use. This was a shame as we had been so impressed with the property during our previous stay which was why we chose it again.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by these issues. The decor as a matter of fact was recently refreshed with some high end wallpaper and some other refreshments have been carried out also. Your comments have been passed on to the team here at John Bray Cornish Holidays to inspect and rectify. The oven does heat up, it can just take a bit of time to get there! The shower now fixed and the cleaners have had this feedback given to them. We only wish you informed us of these issues whilst you were here so we could have helped! - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We have enjoyed our stay at The Point."

The setting and views were spectacular . Kitchen was very well equipped and had everything we needed . The beds were comfortable and linen clean and fresh . It is a perfect distance from the beach and the outside space worked really well. The Annex shower was blocked but was sorted and the hot weather eventually dried it up. Like other guests have mentioned it was frustrating to not find hand soap we have left some in place for the next guests . We have enjoyed our stay Thank you

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay, especially the views and facilities. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "The house was so comfortable, warm and welcoming with the most amazing views on both sides!"

My perfect spot was on the sofa in the kitchen/dining room area looking out at the sunsets over the water. The house has clearly been redecorated recently and is better than the pictures! The position was perfect - so close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants in Polzeath. My only negative comment is that the water didn't drain very well at all from any of the showers in the ensuite bathrooms, and very quickly turned into soggy paddling pools. We loved our stay at The Point and will definitely be back!

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at The Point, especially those views and its location ! Thank you for letting us know about the showers, we will get these looked at. • "We really enjoyed our stay at The Point."

It was a great location and well laid out house. We loved the upstairs kitchen/diner with fab views on all sides. It was a great outside area, with lovely garden furniture. We appreciated the excellent quality sheets and towels. There are very few negatives, but the listing didn't have quite enough info eg, is there a BBQ , Nespresso machine, parking for how many cars? It was appreciated to find there was a BBQ and coffee machine, but I would have brought charcoal and coffee pods if I had known. I also have never stayed in a house without a single bar of soap, shower gel, or washing up liquid provided! It would have been a nice touch to have some, and a bit more loo roll too! There was no easy way of contacting the company to report any minor faults, for example it was difficult to control the water temperature in the shower (ran too hot) and the kettle trimming was coming off.

Thank you so much for your feedback - it is really helpful and you make some really valid points re information re BBQ and Nesspresso. We will take that onboard. Separately, we are so surprised and apologetic re soap, fairy liquid and loo roll. Completely unacceptable. I will take this up with the management company. Cindy Owen (the owner) Property Owner

  • "Well equipped and a great location."

Views across the bay were fabulous. Would definitely recommend. Only niggles were the lack of an information book and the ridiculously stiff and awkward door knobs on the downstairs rooms. Not great for arthritic hands.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay at The Point, we will report these issues to maintenance and get them sorted. We do hope to welcome you back to North Cornwall again soon. John Brays on behalf of the owners. Property Owner

  • "We had a fabulous 2 week holiday at The Point which was helped by glorious weather."

The house has all the facilities we needed and although there are few normal “wear and tear” issues that I am sure will be dealt with, our multi generational family and friends enjoyed every moment. The annexe really does help with creating more space and privacy and the kitchen/diner really helped our group conversations and deliberations over the summer quiz!
