  • "Great stay ."

. the mattress to the bed was sooooo soft and lovely we had to buy one when home!!! Lovely and clean ideal enclosed parking round the corner with gates for safety .. we were 1 street from the main shopping area so ideal for everything on doorstep but not noisy as you would think ..the spiral stairs yes if have mobility issues or breathing or heart problems like me not really a good idea! But coped! As we came away to be close to my aunty who was only 3 streets away! So perfect for that too! Would highly recommend anyway especially the bed!!! .

  • "We had a good stay but the parking is inadequate."

All the spaces were taken up with builders vans, a skip and other users. We were even asked not to park there and sent to an overflow car park which was full! This meant that once we did manage to park we were reluctant to move the car.

  • "Our stay was perfect, mattress was very comfy, apartment was clean and tidy, had everything we needed."

The sieve had a little sharp point on its handle. Otherwise was perfect and me and my partner highly recommend the place. So people are aware, Iron, hand soap and cleaning materials were provided. Car park gate is easy to open with fob provided, so no issues there, can get busy but we always found a parking spot. Lovely welcoming snacks provided also! Thank you so much :)

I would definitely recommend and use again. If I’m being very picky, possible blinds needed for the mini windows

  • "The location in terms of the access to the surrounding towns and villages was absolutely brilliant."

The nearby square where the alcoholics etc congregated not so good but we didn't get any bother from them, although the police were kept busy by them on consecutive days. The car park was being resurfaced but there was plenty of room to park and it was completed the day after we arrived The chair in the room was uncomfortable but everything else excellent.

  • "I enjoyed my 4 nights at Thomas Chambers."

The apartment is small and with the sloping ceiling I found myself having to duck to avoid knocking my head. However it was very cosy and homely. It is clean and has all the modern conveniences such as fridge, oven, microwave and washer. I especially liked the very comfortable bed and lovely shower. The parking was around the back and although limited in space I was able to park without blocking other cars. Communication from Sykes about a temporary move to the overflow car park a short distance away was provided in advance so I was well informed. Overall very enjoyable and I would recommend for single people or couples.I look forward to visiting here again soon.

  • "We arrived hoping to enjoy a week away to rest and relax ."

However we left after 4 nights as we could take no more. I’ll start with the positive Camborne is a great central location for exploring Cornwall. Close to station secure parking however this parking is in the building site. The accommodation is basically on a building site workmen in attached building from 6am banging and crashing around they may have well been at the foot of the shocking bed. Why has this not been addressed as I read recent reviews we are not the first to complain The accommodation was well below par. The bed was a disgrace. Lumpy well worn mattress pillows were terrible. Being on the top floor we understood the access via the stairs however if you are over 5 foot 2 you will not be able to use the kitchen comfortably. Lack of basic needs for cooking like oven gloves. Avoid at all costs totally Ruined our week away. Ended up booking into a hotel.

  • "This property was exactly as listed!"

It was beautifully decorated, very modern and super clean. Even though I knew about the spiral stairs, where they were placed was amazing. A great use of space. I would recommend only small cases up these stairs, as it’s quite tight. Even though it was very stormy when visiting and the property being an attic apartment, there was little noise disruption. It was amazing to have Netflix as well. It was great to have private and secure parking which is just around the corner from the property. I found it all very good value and would definitely recommend.

  • "The property was a good location for visiting the general vicinity round Cornwall."

It was a comfortable size, it's only fault was an uncomfortable bed - the mattress could do with being changed! I would also recommend mentioning the height of the ceiling in the listing as both myself & my partner (5ft 10) struggled to use the kitchen area & around where the ceiling was at its lowest.

Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback from your stay at Thomas Chambers. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay overall, and will look into the comfort of the bed and advertising the height of the ceiling. Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment clean & spotless, just one thing has stopped us giving it top marks, it was just the mattress was not comfortable due to the lumpy condition of it."

A minor issue is that the catch on the bathroom door needs adjusting as it sometimes came open if the windows were open, but all in all a lovely place to stay.

Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted to see you enjoyed your stay and will look into the points mentioned, thank you for making us aware of these, and we hope to see you again soon. Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely stay at the Thomas Chambers."

On arrival we saw a lovely welcome note with some goodies such as cookies which made us feel home straight away and was a really nice touch. Everything that we need was provided. We were able to cook our breakfast daily as the kitchenette provided all our basic needs and it even has a washing machine. The bed was nice and comfortable and it was lovely that they provided wifi, netfilx and amazon log ins. The location was very central and near New Quay and a lot of beautiful walks such as Godrevy and St. Agnes amongst the many other. The drive was very convenient and because of this we were able to fully explore Cornwall and appreciate how beautiful it is! Private parking was provided too and this place was near the grocery store and eating places it was very convenient. The only thing that we weren't very keen on was the control for the water heating. They provided a manual but it still took us about half an hour to figure out the settings and had to readjust it daily as it resets itself which was a bit frustrating especially after a tiring day out. Maybe for the more technology inclined this would not be an issue. Other than that we had a really amazing stay and would highly recommend this place. ❤

Hi Reina, Thank you for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. Our team really appreciates it! We agree the heating controls can be a little confusing to control and therefore are looking in to changing this is the near future. We hope to see you again soon :) Property Owner

  • "A nice cosy sized flat for me."

Good location for buses, trains and groceries. A nice welcoming collection of snacks and a bottle of beer, as well as toiletries provided. On my first couple of days the weather was very humid and the cosy attic flat was quite stuffy with only a couple of small windows available to open. A large noisy fan was provided which I didn't use much. The television was wall mounted but looked like it could easily become floor mounted, possibly needs some attention. The fridge was very noisy so I chose to keep it empty and off so as to get good sleep. This wasn't ideal for a fully convenient stay. I would possibly book this flat again but would probably not.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay, along with the welcome gifts provided. We will ensure to repair the TV wall mount and investigate the fridge noise. Best Wishes! Property Owner

  • "We had a really lovely stay here and loved the greeting gifts."

This apartment was well furnished and comfortable and situated in an ideal location to travel around Cornwall. We did find the fridge loud during the night, which was slightly disturbing and although the hot water was on, the shower would often run cold. We chose the perfect week to visit, with such hot weather, but found the apartment did heat up very quickly and was difficult to cool down - we were very grateful for the fan provided but some blinds on the windows may also help keep the attic cooler and stop the morning light coming in. Thank you for an overall lovely stay!

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay and appreciated the welcome gifts. Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We will ensure to take a look at the fridge and shower to ensure that they are working efficiently. We hope to see you again soon. Best Wishes. Property Owner

Modern apartment that is well equiped. Stairs are narrow so take small bags rather than a large suitcase. Staff are very helpful and based in the office on the ground floor so easily available. Plenty of teas and coffees provided in the entrance hall and a welcome pack in the apartment was a nice touch. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
