  • "A great property our third stay there ."

Warm and comfortable, ideally placed to visit the south of Cornwall. Very friendly couple who can recommend where to go to visit and where to find the best pasties.

  • "Had a lovely weeks stay in The Sea View Loft."

Immaculately clean, everything you could need. Secure garden for our dog. Owners gave good tips for getting around. In an excellent spot for coastal walks and also great for travelling round Cornwall. The Cabin Beach Cafe, can highly recommend for a good cream tea after walking on the paths. Good Local pub within walking distance. Coach & Horses a 5 min drive, excellent food. Really enjoyed out stay and would return. Thank you Ian and Dawn. (My only negative was nothing to do with the owners or the cottage but the lack of communication/answers with Sykes Cottages themselves when trying to ask questions before we went away)

  • "Thank you so very much to Dawn and Ian for having us to stay."

We were delighted with Sea View Loft as it was cosy on cloudy days and bright and airy on sunny days. It was the perfect location for us as we wanted to explore all Cornwall but there was pub, shop and chippy all in walking distance. Also there was a footpath to gorgeous village of Perranuthnoe where we had breakfast a couple of days and ate out at the Victoria Inn too. Added bonus was that milk and tea bags were provided with handwash, washing up liquid, bin bags and tea towel which I always forget which was most welcome homely touches. Thank you for a most lovely holiday. We highly recommend this as a perfect Cornwall getaway.

  • "Lovely clean, comfy and well equipped property."

Dawn & Ian were very friendly and informative of local walks and places to eat, they even advised us if we were going to St Ives to go on the train which was really helpful. Lovely to have a couple of pints of milk, tea and coffee waiting for us to use. Good location with a short walk taking you onto the costal paths. The mattress on the double bed was a little soft for our liking and we didn’t find the instructions about the dog poo bin near the entrance until half way through our stay, a sign by the bin making it more visible would be useful. We would definitely return and recommend the loft as a place to stay.

The 2 improvements I would recommend, New pillows very stained, not nice New frying pan, and pans in oven covered with foil as not really usable. We did not use the oven. Overall good value and our dog was made welcome

My problem is with Sykes for lack of contact and the lack of information passed on. We booked the coinage in September with the understanding it had a hot tub. The owners contacted Sykes in October to say they taken the hot tub away and let us know. Sykes didn’t bother and all they were bothered about was getting the payment. Very easily found and the location is very good. It was clean, tidy, warm and comfortable. We had expected a hot tub which we found out was removed at the end of October. • "We had a lovely stay at Sea view loft."

We had some fantastic walks through the many public footpaths to the local coves and even along the coastal paths to Penzance one day! Praa sands beach was only a 5 min drive away was one of the best we’ve been to for beauty, cleanliness and the waves!! The owners were very friendly and the accommodation clean and warm and the hot tub was great! We were given a pumpkin to carve and some Halloween decorations which was a lovely touch! We went with friends who stayed in Bluebell barn which we were told by Sykes when we booked that it was on the same site however it was approximately a 15 minute walk away which was okay in distance apart from the very busy A road not having a path all the way which meant we only tried to walk it once. We managed okay with the car for the rest of the stay but just wanted to make people aware of this if they were looking to book these two accommodations with friends / another family group. Overall we would definitely recommend Sea view loft as great base for anyone’s holiday!

The hosts Ian and Dawn are very hospitable and most helpful. The nearby cove and beach at Perranuthnoe is perfect and the facilities there are splendid. The Honesty Box Car Park is refreshing in this day and age. This location is a slightly less commercial part of Cornwall and we had a truly lovely holiday. The home journey traffic was horrendous but we had our memories..

Lovely family run accommodations in a peaceful setting. Close to all amenities too. Seaview loft was just perfect for us and our dog. It was clean and airy, very comfortable (lovely sofas!) and had all the bits you need for a self catering holiday. The enclosed garden is large and great for the dog and the bonus is the lovely hot tub for a soak after a hard day at the beach. The owners are very friendly and approachable. We would not hesitate to book again. If I had to give one piece of constructive criticism it would be that a double bed is a shock when you’re used to a much larger one

Dawn and Ian the host were a pleasure to meet, and were around if you needed any information. For walkers the South West Coast Path is about a 10 mins walk away from the apartment where you can walk to Porthleven or to Mousehole passing through Marazion to see St Michaels Mount. For beach lovers Praa Sands and Marazion are 10mins drive away. While we were there WiFi was a bit hit and miss but we were told by Ian early there was a problem and it was being sorted ASAP by their suppliers. It was our anniversary week while we were there and the host supervised us with a bottle of bubbly to celebrate, such a lovely touch. The garden was a beautiful Sun trap for most of the day, This apartment was a gem of a place to have found so close to everything in Cornwall.
