  • "Fantastic house in a beautiful location."

Spotlessly clean, very well equipped lots of extras. Lots of thought has gone into this property. Can't recommend this place enough. Thank you owners and Sykes, 5 out of 5 for us. Can't wait to come back again soon.

I think that says it all. Perfect location if you want to be down along the sea. Great house, all great facilities.

  • "Well appointed cottage in a lovely location just yards from Sennen harbour."

The 4 floors keep you fit! (Dont leave your phone/keys/glasses at the bottom)! Most things have been thought of within the accomm. Well stocked kitchen etc. Well finished throughout. Beds on 1st and 3rd floors. Good access to rear patio thru kitchen level stable door. Ideal for sunshine and views. We didnt use the overlooked open area above garages. Games room on ground floor. Shop, cafe and popular pub (Old Success) within 2 minutes walk. RNLI Station across the street. Note that dogs are not allowed on Sennen Cove beach 10-6 at this time of year. Parking permit provided for space outside the property is very useful. Lovely walk to Lands End, but also go on to the beach beyond that (Nanjizal?) Nice Tues morning Market at Sennen up the road. Alternative pub (1st And Last) just along from there. All in all, a lovely well-equipped property in a lovely area.

I have to say this is one of the best, more than large enough for 6 people, equipped with everything you could possibly need, superb in and outdoor space and the perfect location.

  • "We had a lovely time staying in Pilchard Cottage, which is a fantastic property!"

The only reason we would hesitate to book again with Sykes is because of our booking experience. As explained, we were unable to make payment on 31st July because of problems with the website. When we tried again the following day the cost had been increased by £80. After calling, we were advised to contact your marketing department (which we did). Sadly we never received a reply. Instead, we were given an ultimatum to make payment or the cottage would be released (which wasn't very nice). Even when we eventually managed to make the payment, it still took four or five attempts to go through. We felt strongly that cottage should have been offered to us at the advertised price when we made the booking and tried to pay. It is for this reason only that we are more likely to book through other agencies we have used before going back to Sykes again. That said, we did all have a wonderful time staying in Sennen. Regards Mark.

Location is fab with two parking spaces. We parked a third in the carpark all week for £5/24hrs via the parking app. Garden was a suntrap and lovely views from the balcony. House was very clean and tidy and v well equipped kitchen. Full fridge and freezer too. Bedrooms were all a good size. Would definitely stay again

  • "In general the stay was fine bar general cleaning by, I presume, the contractors and the ongoing works at No 1 Harbour Mews."

On arrival @ advised 4pm, we had travelled earlier that day, the cleaning team were not close to completion. Although apologetic on entering it was clear the job had been rushed - or at least I hope it had otherwise there's a wider problem. Kitchen sink had food debris, a shower in the bedroom had significant amount of hair in the plug. The bathroom floor in the 1st floor bathroom and 'en-suite' needed to be cleaned before we used; there was no foot mat in the downstairs bathroom. The complimentaries, I would do away with as the cleaning kit is practically no use whilst Cheese (yes Cheese) scones from Sainsbury's with a 1 day date on them don't go that well with Jam and Clotted Cream As we arrived we were also unable to park as the allocated outside space was taken up by building contractors, an issue that occurred several times during the week whilst other work during the period necessitated us having to request the guys moved their plant machinery. Obviously on completion this will not be of any concern - would have been nice though if they had taken packaging away as opposed to stockpiling against the letter box! The guys themselves were accommodating. One is easily remedied, the other will naturally stop and overall, as the score suggests, we had a good holiday - it is the little things

We are very sorry to hear that the cleanliness of our property fell below our high standards. We have met with the cleaning company and understand that your arrival day had been particularly difficult for them, but that is no excuse for the lack of basic hygiene you encountered. As for cheese scones ...... this will not be repeated! Unfortunately we were not aware that there was building work going on next door but one. This is now completed so should not be a problem in the future, but we can only apologise for the frustration this must have caused you. Property Owner
