"Perfect location for visiting the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan."
The beach at Par is fabulous. However, the cottage was little more than adequate. Musty, cluttered and generally in need of a good clean. Dust and cobwebs everywhere, very dirty oven as well as general lack of storage in both the kitchen and the bedrooms. Garden overgrown, but plenty of outdoor seating, comfy double bed,
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you found our cottage in need of a good clean, if you had advised us during your stay we would have been more than happy to reattend. We can confirm that the property was cleaned to a high standard, however, cobwebs can appear within 10 minutes, especially this time of year. We do agree that the The Old Sweet Shop is a perfect location for exploring Cornwall.

"Lets start with the positives, its a lovely cottage, quirky and comfortable."
It is well equipped and the location central for visiting many places in Cornwall, however the listing does not make it clear that the parking (50m away) is in a supermarket car park clearly marked no responsibility for loss or damage, it is not monitored or visible from the cottage. The listing also talks about the rural location and enjoying the garden. The gardens front and back were quite neglected and over grown, the photos make it appear that this is a detached property but is in fact a back to back cottage on a main road through the town so when we did sit out there was a constant flow of traffic rumbling by. The inside could be better organised to provide more storage space for guests. The only available kitchen cupboard was the tiny base unit between the cooker and the fridge and was not big enough to put our basic groceries with the remaining space being utilised by quite a bit of unnecessary stores. The same problem upstairs in the bedroom with many cupboards full of spare linen etc. 1 single wardrobe to hold a weeks worth of clothing for 2 people is hardly adequate, thank goodness we didn't have children with us as there are just 2 bedside cabinets in that room with the airing cupboard again full of the owners stuff. The cottage could have been cleaner, the cooker had a layer of grease on the oven base and a number of cobwebs evident in the lounge and main bedroom. Looking at the listing on our return I can also say it no longer looks as bright and spacious as the photos, the owners seem to have added more furniture and lots of ornaments that are not needed and now make the place look cluttered. We did have a lovely week and the weather was lovely allowing us to visit the Eden Project twice, the Lost Gardens of Heligan, a couple of beaches and drive to Lands End amongst other days out but feel the listing was deceiving and disappointed that the cottage was not more rural or how it is pictured.

"A delightful cottage in a great location."
The place was cosy and very well equipped with everything you need, with nice touches throughout. Great communication and the wine and goodies left for us was a really nice gesture. Easy parking at the co-op a minute away. Great secluded beaches nearby which were some of the best we have ever seen! Thank you so much.

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and spent much of our time walking on the South West Coast Path."
This location was very convenient for access to both the North and South coast. The accommodation was very comfortable and the decor was very pleasing. The well equipped kitchen was particularly useful in these Covid times. The Coop supermarket just a stone’s throw away was also very convenient. We would certainly be happy to revisit this cottage again.

"24/7 parking is available just down the road in the free car park."
This cottage has many homely touches and we enjoyed our stay. Due to illness we were unfortunately three days late starting our holiday, but as it was unoccupied the following week the owner very kindly offered us an extra night which really made a difference.
