  • "We had a very comfortable holiday at 1, The Brambles."

The bungalow was very cosy and well equipped and the garden was perfect for our dog, and would be for children too. There are accessible walks nearby and we enjoyed our delicious welcome pack very much.

A lovely welcome from the neighbours who are mum and dad to Alison. The bungalow is very quiet, clean and has everything you need for a relaxing break. We look forward to returning in the future Kim, Alan and our cockerpoo Dillon

  • "We had a wonderful stay at 1 The Brambles and the weather was gorgeous."

The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable and the welcome pack and other little touches were lovely. The only issues we had was the patio door needs attention as it was very difficult to open and close and will no doubt cause a problem in the future and although the garden was a lovely sun trap the outdoor seating is so uncomfortable that we were not able to sit out for long which was a shame. The shower was lovely but a shower caddy would be a useful addition especially for older visitors. We would definitely recommend the property to others and should we ever decide to revisit Cornwall we would not hesitate in rebooking.

It is in a quiet location but near lots of the best parts of Cornwall. The beds were comfortable and we both slept really well, the dog loved the garden. The welcome basket was amazing with lots of essentials and treats. There is a lovely pub within a few minutes walk and we were made very welcome. The owners parents are next-door and made us very welcome. If we return to Cornwall we would book again.

The host and her family have really made sure we had the most comfortable stay. The place is clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The attention to detail is absolutely incredible. We have never stayed in a place that would provide so many extras as No1 Brambles, it literally had everything from an incredibly generous welcome hamper basket, all the essentials like cleaning products, hairdryer, tissues in every room, fresh flowers , toiletries etc etc, even doggie supplies were provided. Genuinely, this is absolutely amazing property and I would not hesitate to book again. Thank you so much for being the most amazing host and for letting us stay in your lovely home ❤️

We felt right a home with all the amenities provided, a great welcome hamper from the host brought a smile as we walked in and all the little things like selection of reading material, board games etc that helped family settle in. Well done to the host Allison, take a bow!!

  • "Overall the cottage was a really nice place to stay and explore the coastpaths around Lands End."

Porthcurrno and Sennen were particularly lovely. We had lovely weather all week. The cottage was extremely well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. We were disappointed the dishwasher was broken and we couldn't get it to work (particularly as we dont have one at home and it was going to be a treat for us! :)haha. And we didnt find the sofas particularly comfy, bit slippery! Bed was very soft and comfortable tho and shower was lovely. The pub (just down the lane) was very good and we enjoyed 2 very nice meals there. The farmshop was just opening when we got there and wasn't set up so a bit disappointed with what was in there. Have to go into Penzance for the nearest supermarket or use local Londis shop. Our dog enjoyed the enclosed garden (perhaps the gate could do with being a little higher for escape artists, luckily my saluki cross is pretty good at staying in the garden). Overall a really nice stay, great welcome hamper, if we are in the area again, I would book again.

  • "The Brambles is a lovely cottage."

The owner and family are very welcoming and do their upmost to help. The very generous welcome basket far exceeds anywhere I have stayed. The cottage was warm, the shower is great and the bed was very comfortable. Ignore the sat nav, turn left opposite the wonderful Londis / Jack's shop and go down the lane to almost the end, on the RH side you'll find the Brambles. Access is via 3 stone steps but there are rails to help. All is level once you're down the steps.

Very comfy bed, great shower and really well-equipped kitchen....not to mention how clean the whole place was. The welcome pack was incredibly generous and much appreciated. The home is centrally located for reaching many of the main coastal sites on Land's End. Alison the owner and her parents who live next door are very friendly.

  • "We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely home, the welcome pack was excellent, the best I have ever had!"

The only small problem was that the bedroom doors need attention, like shaving down, because we were there with our friends and if you got up in the night you had to push the doors hard to get them shut which was noisy for our friends, but as I say it is a small problem and didn’t ruin our stay.
