  • "Trehaverock Cottage is lovely and very spacious, especially the conservatory."

The bedrooms are a good size with very comfy beds. It was very clean and had everything we needed for our weeks holiday. The dining table is a bit wobbly at one end but it was so big we could avoid it. The garden is quite big but well looked after and we enjoyed sitting out in the evening and relaxing. We had a great time here and enjoyed our stay very much

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are extremely pleased to hear that you enjoyed your time at Trehaverock Cottage, and that the property suited you well. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused regarding the dining table, your feedback will be raised to our maintenance team. We look forward to hopefully welcoming you back again sometime in the future - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "We had a fabulous time in the cottage."

It is a superb base for exploring some of the loveliest and most interesting parts of Cornwall, but allowed us a peaceful place to retreat after a busy day out. St Endellion is outstandingly beautiful and we loved that there were only a couple of properties, the beautiful church, and the fabulous Trevathan Farm Shop which stocked all the essentials we needed. The negatives were few, but would be important for us in deciding whether or not we would return to the cottage in the future. The main one for us was that the side extension (containing the music room, bedroom, and shower room) was noticeably affected by dampness. We could smell it straight away and immediately opened all the windows, but could still smell it throughout the week. The shower room ceiling was peppered with mould and the ceiling of the bedroom had some cracks and staining. Some of the cleaning could have been more thorough. There were cobwebs and dead insects here and there, and the conservatory windows could have been cleaner. Both toilets pans also needed an extra clean before using. Finally the road noise was very evident through the unused 'front' door, which could be improved to help block the noise. The road can be very busy and many cars don't adhere to the 40 mph speed limit. Now for the positives, which were many! The house is absolutely beautiful, quirky, and very well stocked with everything we could need. We loved the all the little nooks and crannies, ornaments, the amazing fireplace (although we didn't use the fire) and the traditional style of the property. There were lots of board games, DVDs, and jigsaws provided which was a lovely unexpected extra. Some of the reviews we had read commented that there was too much clutter, but we didn't think so - for us it added to the interest and joy of the house. In general, the house, bedding, towels etc. were clean, and the beds were all very comfortable and well dressed. The kitchen had everything we needed and more, and was beautiful - one of my favourite rooms. But we spent most of our time in the fabulous conservatory looking out over the stunning garden. The garden itself was interesting and quirky with lots of little nooks to find, and amazing views over the countryside to the rear. So in conclusion, we loved our stay at Trehaverock Cottage, and would definitely book again (maybe for 2 weeks this time) if the few negative points got sorted out. Thank you so much

  • "We enjoyed our stay at the cottage."

It was well equiped and overall we were comfortable, however we would have liked more information on the following things. Some information about the local area. For example local pubs, farm shops to visit. Reccomendations for food places, like fish and chips etc. Information about local services - that being nearest vets, A&E etc. Information about how things in the cottage worked. heating, TV, appliances etc. We said about the heating not working on the first day and it was looked into however we could not use the downstairs bedroom because it was just too cold. Fortunately there were enough beds for everyone. The boys and dog loved the garden. We would consider staying at the cottage again.

Thank you for your comments, we are pleased you enjoyed the cottage. We have now put information packs into the properties with all the information needed. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "Cottage was full of character, very warm and welcoming and we had an amazing time there."

Location is perfect for both north and south west-coast Cornwall. Plenty of kit to make the stay fantastic. Facilities such as kitchen/bathrooms well cleaned surfaces but would benefit for a little TLC and a deep clean. Would also help to have some of the owner's personal items put away as it did have a feeling of 'house sitting'. Plus although I love clutter, the amount of stuff out was too much even for me!!! LOL!!! But that said, we absolutely loved our week there and was incredibly cosy, quirky, homely and relaxing. Many thanks for our stay.

Thank you for your comments, we look forward to welcoming you back very soon. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner Property Owner
