• "Small issue but didn't detract from our stay as completely loved the place and St."

  Ives. I had asked when I paid the balance that the 2 single beds be put as a double (as seen in property notes this was an option) which we asked for & was done last year. Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't completed. Would definitely return as the Pearl has all you need and the view is fabulous, whether rain or shine I could look out of the windows for hours.

• "Lovely property , I cook on holiday so the kitchen was brilliant."

  Only snag was that there were no rubbish bags left for me to use and the instructions for recycling were very specific .Unfortunately the door on the washer/dryer broke early into our holiday and wasn't sorted before we left (a bit inconvenient ) As other people have said it wasn't as close to the beach as expected , quite a way up above . Amazing views , nice to wake up and the first thing you see is the sea. Not quite what we expected but a lovely property all the same.

• "Our stay at the Pearl from 14th - 21st September was wonderful."

  The accommodation was everything we expected, modern, spotlessly clean, comfortable and had everything that we needed for our stay. The furnishings were lovely and the beds were so comfortable. The whole place was full of light with spectacular views of the beach and St Ives. The Pearl is in a perfect location for walks on the beach and only a short walk into St Ives. A big bonus was our own allocated parking space and the place was in easy distance for us to visit The Eden project, Lands End and the lovely beach at Hayle. Would recommend this property and hope to stay again when we are next in Cornwall.

• "We really enjoyed our week in Pearl."

  Fantastic views, a quiet location and just a 10 minute walk into the heart of St Ives. From the pictures I assumed we were closer to the beach than we actually were, but that didn’t take anything away from the accommodation.

• "Absolutely beautiful property with gorgeous views."

  It was made even more special when we had the rare opportunity of seeing the northern lights on Friday 10th May. The property was really clean and we would love to return in the future.

  Wonderful property, spotlessly clean, spacious, really nicely furnished and fabulous views. Appreciated the Joseph Joseph sharp knives too - I've bought my own set since! We too found the main bedroom bed quite firm. We had an enjoyable holiday in St Ives, definitely enhanced by that wonderful apartment.

• "We had an amazing stay at The Pearl."

  The property was beautifully decorated and furnished, very clean and everything you could possibly want was provided. The view is just stunning and you could just look out all day as it is so mesmerising. The owner has really gone above and beyond with this luxurious property. The extra gifts on arrival are a lovely touch. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

• "Absolutely perfect apartment, beautiful decor, very clean and fantastic views of St Ives."

  Easy walk to Porthminster beach ( which is perfect white sand and crystal aqua water) Great for families, can hire kayaks, boards etc at a reasonable price too. Lovely walk downhill into town . Very hilly , so the walk back is a little taxing depending on fitness, but worth it. I've only given a 9 for comfort as the bed and pillows were hard and so our sleep wasn't perfect. Thankyou to the owners for the gifts on arrival, such a nice touch

• "Fantastic stay, thank you."

  Felt like it was all designed to such high standards and real thought has been put into the usability. Genuinely faultless and would gladly stay again. Incredible views and easy to access/park etc. Very clean, bedding, towels etc were all super comfy. Added bonus was no neighbours underneath or to the sides. Highly recommend.

• "We had another fabulous stay at the Pearl."

  This is our second time and the property is wonderful and has a brilliant location just a few moments from Portminster beach and St Ives. The only reason I haven't given 10/10 is because the beds are so uncomfortable! I really think the owner should be kind to their guests and invest in a decent mattress - it would have been nice to leave feeling more rested than when I arrived!

  We have been to St Ives many times over the years and this was the best accommodation (and most stunning views) we've ever had. A well equipped and comfortable home-from-home.

• "Fantastic apartment in what is surely one of the most prominent positions overlooking St Ives Bay."

  The amazing window arrangement, front, back and side allow spectacular views of the town, railway and harbour activity and long ranging views up the coast. Binoculars recommended! The lounge, kitchen and dining areas have a lovely open and homely feel, and are flooded with light. I particularly loved the high angular ceilings on the upper floor. The zip and link superking bed with the comfy topper ensured a sound sleep. A couple of minor issues: I would like to see the parking bays for 7 and 8 marked out, to ensure correct and quicker parking. Also some sections of the wooden floor would benefit from specialist preparation to address the grease marks in the wood grain. After many repeat stays in other Carbis Bay locations, I think this is certainly one of the very best, and will return.

• "Wow, what an apartment."

  A Cornish luxury break in a British summer. We loved it. Views breathtaking of St Ives harbour & bay and Porthminister beach at its best. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. Facilities all high end and high quality. We would not hesitate recommending or booking again. Access to beach v easy and quick. Access to town v easy and a reserved car park space is awesome. Felt v at home and you will too. Thank you.

• "For the price of the stay we would have liked a coffee machine."

  I think there needs to be a small bin in the main bedroom. The chain on the car park was temperamental, and we couldn’t find any bin bags. Apart from that it was a fantastic week and we would stay again.

• "Amazing property with amazing views, perfect for the train station, beach and a lovely 10-15 minute walk into St Ives."

  Otherwise it's easy to access just after driving through Carbis Bay. The parking space was very useful and allowed us to use the apartment as a base. I really couldn't recommend this place more and we'd love to stay again in the future. I'm just sorry we didn't leave a note in the guest book as we didn't have a pen! :( Thanks!

• "Stunning views from the living room and master bedroom."

  A close walk to Porthmister beach and into St Ives was a real plus as was having a parking space at the property. This meant we didn't need to take the car into St Ives at all. Beds were very confortable and kitchen was very well equipped.

• "The property was spotlessly clean."

  The add for the pearl did not do justice to the spectacular view. There was lovely touches to welcome us to ‘The Pearl’ which also was our 30th wedding anniversary (pearl). Our holiday was really nice thanks to how well the accommodation was located and we even had the weather.

• "The Pearl was just as described."

  The views from the living area and master bedroom are spectacular. Very much a home from home, everything is provided for a very comfortable stay. Just minutes to both Porthminster beach and into St Ives town, St Ives other beaches also accessible on foot, we barely used our car, other than for a day out to Porthleven. The parking space very much appreciated, its so difficult to find a property with parking in St Ives. We also enjoyed a costal walk to Carbis Bay, only half an hour from the property. A wonderful week, many thanks!

• "The Pearl is a lovely apartment with stunning views over Porthminster beach and St Ives."

  The apartment is very clean, spacious and well equipped. St Ives is within walking distance. Like another reviewer, we also found the bed quite uncomfortable. It could do with a mattress topper and some thicker pillows. That being said to wake up to the view made it more bearable. We would recommend and hope to come back to St Ives soon.

• "Great holiday in a very well positioned apartment."

  The views from the apartment are fantastic!! The apartment is very spacious and we really enjoyed our stay. We do feel though that come improvements could be made. Firstly a comfy bed! the apparent ‘king size’ bed was smaller than expected ( feet hanging out the end) and very hard and lumpy so we didn’t sleep as well as we could have. Also there’s no where to hang and dry wetsuits, this would be hugely beneficial given the location, and we felt the storage cupboard upstairs could make a good drying room. The bin in the kitchen is rubbish and needs replacing, and lack of recycling was also very disappointing. We did had a fabulous holiday and would love to come back (if the bed was changed) but looking at the prices for next year and how they’ve hiked up, I don’t think we will!
