  • "Lovely cottage to use as a base to explore Cornwall."

Didnt have the opportunity to enjoy the garden but well maintained and spacious. Rebecca very helpful when traffic delay may have caused a delivery issue. Cottage itself very comfortable and clean.

  • "The accommodation is absolutely first class, cannot fault it and it is a tribute to the owners."

Absolutely first class. I cannot in good conscience recommend it as a place for families with children due to the very close proximity of the pub and it's car park. I feel this should have been elaborated much more strongly. The noise as the customers leave is very loud and your sleep is severely interrupted. Even large farm vehicles are heard starting up right outside the bedroom windows.

  • "A most charming cottage with all the creature comforts you would need to enjoy a great holiday."

Pretty perfect location opposite the local pub and just a 2 minute walk from the local community run shop that catered for our basic needs. Off Road parking was most useful. Cleanliness was excellent as was comfort too. Beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you need to self-cater. We found the heating fine for October and suggest that it would be more than sufficient all year round and only enhanced by use of the log fire - which we tried just the once to add a touch of 'romance' to the general ambiance of the cottage. With stone floors downstairs and a handy outside hose for the dog we found it perfect for Missie - our border collie. The enclosed garden was fine and seemed to be a bit of a Sun trap even though we had a lot of wet weather during our time. Two good double bedrooms would meet the needs of a couple of couples or a family and the third bedroom is a good space for children making it fine for a family of six. Bathroom fine with a well powered over the bath shower - with plenty of piping hot water. As mentioned opposite one pub with other quaint country pubs within a few minutes drive plus a local Cider Farm a fifteen minute walk away - and well worth the trip to sample the local tipple . Located near enough to hit the beaches of Rock and Padstow within half an hour drive plus Tintagel and its Castle which was well worth a visit. We thought it was fabulous and would be more than happy to return - thank you to the owners. As per the Cornish Ale - A Proper Job ! (60's plus couple - married 44 years - still loved up and young at heart ).

  • "This cottage is absolutely beautiful, a fantastic location too!"

!! The welcome packs provided for ourselves and our little dog were a very special touch and much appreciated. The cottage is decorated to a high quality and they’ve really thought of everything to help make our stay really enjoyable. The village it’s located in is also a great place as it’s only a short drive to Rock Beach (must have if you have a dog), park here and get the ferry across to Padstow and Port Isaac. If you’re happy to drive a bit longer, Mousehole and Looe are both beautiful and worth a visit!! After a long day out it was lovely to come back to the cottage and then stroll across the road for a much deserved dinner & pint !! This pub is very welcoming and literally across the road!! We love love to stay here again and would like to say a huge thank you to the owners for allowing us the pleasure of staying there!! Thanks again, see you next year!!!

  • "What a wonderful discovery."

We absolutely loved our week in this beautiful cottage and village. The house has been decorated and furnished with love, care, a fabulous sense of style and so much attention to detail. Everything we could need had been thought of. Last minute requests re beds were accommodated by the housekeeper who was ever so helpful and the maintenance man was very quick to sort a wee hitch with the boiler even on our last day. The perfect base for our family of five to enjoy a wonderful week…we would highly recommend this to anyone.
