A warm welcom! Peace and relaxation were the order of the day. Lots of great sights in the surrounding area. We were able to have very tasty eggs from the Farm chickens

"A fabulous place from which to explore the beautiful area."
Such a peaceful setting to relax in after exploring the area. It was lovely to sit on the decking with the evening sun watching the buzzards. It is down a narrow lane with passing places but ample parking at the cottage. A fabulous stay, would highly recommend it.

"We had a lovely stay."
Beautiful and well appointed cottage. All we needed. Gorgeous rural setting with lots of different animals to watch. The most tender scones on arrival and delicious eggs for breakfast. Lots of lovely gardens, NT, walks and amenities within a short drive. Sarah was welcoming and made excellent suggestions for beaches we could visit without crowds. We would definitely recommend and return.

"The reading room is such a nice location, well placed within the property itself and within easy distance of a number of locations to visit on your stay."
Sarah and Ross have clearly put a lot of time and effort into the property and this shows in it's comfort and the finish inside. The property was warm and comfortable, which was ideal for coming back to after being out and about throughout the day. The initial welcome to the property was made even nicer by the lovely gift pack that was left by the hosts. I can't recommend the place highly enough. We would love to come back again.

The property
The Reading Room is a beautiful converted chapel settled in the hamlet of Seworgan near Constantine in Cornwall.
This stone-built property is single-storey and enjoys original features with its vaulted beamed ceilings, along with contemporary décor.
Bring along your other half for a romantic escape to the Cornish countryside and park up in the off-road parking space.
Stepping through the French doors, discover the bright and airy living space, with a stylish kitchen area to whip up culinary delights courtesy of the electric oven and hob.
When dinner is served, take a seat at the dining table and toast to your hideaway; afterwards unwind on the plush sofa to flicker through the Smart TV.
On sunny days, why not bask in the sun on the outdoor furniture, where a barbecue entices you to rustle up tasty treats?
As the evening draws to a close, retire inside and have a soothing soak in the bathroom and after you can relish the warmth of the underfloor heating beneath your feet.
Climb into your pyjamas and snuggle up in the double bed with a hot chocolate; bedside lamps tempt some late-night reading.
The Reading Room is nestled in a 13 acre small holding home to a flock of native sheep, goats and Harry the Cleveland bay horse.
Views from the property extend over rolling pasture and wooded slopes down to the stream which in turn feeds into the Helford River in Gweek (a good three mile stomp away).
The village of Gweek has a shop selling local produce, a cafe, a pub and is home to The Cornish Seal Sanctuary (a perfect day out for animal and nature lovers alike).
The superb gardens including Penjerrick, Glendurgan, and Carwinion are also all within 4 miles, as well as Trebah, a sub-tropical paradise with a stunning coastal backdrop.
Embark on an adventure to the coastal town of Falmouth, where history buffs can marvel at the grand Pendennis Castle (built by Henry VII), unwind on Gyllyngvase Beach to savour the seaside views or why not go to Porthleven to one of the many great eateries and restaurants.
The Reading Room is a superb base for beach days, delicious food, cycling, walking, and exploring tranquil gardens.
For a romantic break like no other, choose this beautiful property.

CONSTANTINE
Falmouth 7.1 miles; Truro 13.4 miles.
A charmingly picturesque country village with a few shops, a pub and a lovely church, set among green rolling meadows and wooded valleys leading down to the beautiful Helford river, just 3 miles away. Famous for its mild climate, this quieter part of Cornwall has the outstanding gardens of Trebah, Penjerrick, Glendurgan and Carwinion all within 4 miles. For nature lovers and those who enjoy boats, the misty reaches of the Helford river meander upstream to Gweek, where the world renowned Seal Sanctuary looks after the region’s many abandoned and injured seals. Falmouth, with its narrow streets, natural harbour and National Maritime Museum is just 20 minutes by car, while Flambards theme park (8 miles) and Argal Lake with its water sports attractions make great days out. The nearby beautiful Lizard Peninsula, with its outstanding beaches and quaint fishing villages dotting the rocky coastline, has the benefit of outstanding scenery, tranquillity and some great walks.
