  • "Nice property thank you for letting Ilya stay."

Some feedback Kitchen needs a good sort out as overstocked with equipment . Needs some clear labelling of where stuff needs to be and should be put away. Less is more in this case. Frying pan is very difficult to use Oven is poor Outside wash down system was broken but was repaired quickly

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. All suggestions/comments can be viewed by the property owner so these are appreciated. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

All the rooms were clean and comfortable. we have been coming to Cornwall as a family for over 50 years so know the area very well. Our family get together once a year in Cornwall is precious to us so this property makes our stay even better. Thank you Christian for all your efforts. We’ll be back next year.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Rainer Rocks in September 2023."

The house was clean, had everything we needed throughout the week and is perfectly located for getting around the north coast of Cornwall. We loved looking out the front door at the beautiful Polzeath beach which is just a short walk away and also walked to the stunning Daymer Bay. We are especially grateful to the owners for allowing dogs to stay and very grateful for the welcome treats!

  • "Great property in a great location."

The living area is well thought through and we liked that there were plenty of plates, knives, forks etc. A great house for all generations. For the rent charged, however, we would expect there to be both a washing machine and a tumble dryer and a better system for hanging out clothes when the weather is dry. We holiday at least twice a year in Cornwall and this makes A HUGE difference given so much time is spent getting wet - whether intentionally or due to the Cornish drizzle. A larger freezer is also needed when catering for 8 people.

Thank you so much for your feedback. We are so glad that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back anytime in the future. The owners of the property have the ability to view all feedback given so we thank you for these suggestions. - John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Great property, comfy beds, clean and lovely and light, the couple of issues we had were dealt with although I would recommend the single beds are replaced and upstairs tap loosened."

A few more instructions for washer/dryer would be great idea!

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay at Rainer Rocks. We do hope that we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Cornwall in the future. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

  • "Very comfortable house and well equipped."

Easy to find and good parking though it’s a little tight if you have a big car. Very easy to get into Polzeath, but it is a steep walk back, if anyone in the party is unsteady. One minor thing was that the balcony and the furniture on it would have benefitted from a quick clean

Thank you so much for taking the time to share such wonderful feedback with us. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Rainer Rocks and appreciated the house and surrounding area. I will take note of your balcony comment for future reference. We look forward to welcoming you back hopefully soon. John Bray Cornish Holidays on behalf of the owner. Property Owner

As described Close to the beach Warm and spacious Good equipment Very comfortable Didn’t use outside much due to weather Maybe better house instructions about heating water and clearer rubbish advice Maybe mention staggering showers when 6/8 in house And exactly where 2nd parking space is Thanks

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we are so glad you enjoyed your holiday, we are in the process of releasing information packs into the properties to make it easier for guests to work the appliances in the house, but we hope this did not spoil your stay too much and we hope to welcome you back to North Cornwall again soon. • "Great property!"

Kitchen was missing a couple of useful items, and it wasn't cleaned that well prior to arrival. There was lots of hair in the wet room and an unpleasant drain smell in the kitchen. Would definitely book the property again

Thank you for your feedback! We're glad you had the chance to make the most of the local amenities! We appreciate you bringing the issue of the Kitchen utensils. We are really sorry about the cleaning issues we have passed this onto the housekeeping team to ensure this doesn't happen again. John Bray Cornish Holiday's on behalf of the owner Property Owner

  • "We all loved the House."

Only one complaint. The really loud irritating whistling sound when any of the showers are used. Oh and also it would be nice to have a set of instructions on where the heating and heated towel rail controls and switches are.

Thank you for feedback it is helpful to know. The information folders are being updated and will be placed back in properties very soon. Property Owner

  • "Good location and lovely house."

The kitchen is very well equipped and the dining area great for our family of eight. On a couple of occasions we came back to find no hot water and the parking needs to be made clear. Our accommodation at Rainer Rocks had one parking space directly underneath in the basement: whilst the other was further along outside, which was not immediately obvious and accessed via a separate drive. Regardless of the slight snags we had a great holiday and loved Polzeath.

  • "Fantastic property."

Very clean and well maintained. Ideal location 2 minutes walk to the beach. The bedrooms being on top floor (x2) and lower ground (x2) does make it ideal for 2 families sharing and each can have their own space. Locating the 2nd parking spot took a bit of time - maybe just needs a bit of pre-arrival instruction or inside the house. No complaints at all and hope to visit again in the future.

  • "A lovely property for an enjoyable Christmas break however 2 areas prevented full marks: The door in one of the downstairs bedrooms would not open."

This was reported on 23/12/21 the day following our arrival. I called the office and was assured this would be logged - an attempt to call would be made that day if not the next (Christmas Eve). I was asked to leave the key which I did but this was not rectified for the whole of our stay meaning my daughter & son-in- law were without fresh air in their room for the whole week. A H&S issue too I feel as this is the only access in the room as no window. If this were to have been in the summer months it would have been unbearable. The second issue was the lack of hot water for showers. There were 5 of us - not up to capacity of 8 mentioned for the property and at least 1 of us each day had a cold shower - not what you need in December!!! Did not seem to be continuous hot water available. Without these problems I would definitely re-book but it did tarnish our stay to some degree.

  • "This is an exceptionally nice house in the perfect position for walking and beach."

The house is open plan with plenty of space and well appointed kitchen. Would love to stay there again. The only draw back is the parking, there are only two parking spaces. If, like us, you had lots of different people coming from all over the country then the cars were a real problem. Overall fabulous house in perfect spot.
