Comfortable cottage, apart from the bed, which we would prefer to be firmer.

  • "We were more than impressed and really enjoyed our stay here."

We turned up a little early and spoke to one of the cleaners when we should come back. They were really accommodating and asked us to wait 5-10 mins and they'll have it all finished. Cottage was bigger than we expected, which was great, and it was spotless. We would definitely consider staying again. Only thing that was a little disappointing was the pool table in the games room. First day my son and I went there, put in 50p and there were no balls in the table. Little disappointed as that was a great think to do as there was a lot of rain whilst we were there. Couple of days later, the balls did appear in the table, paid the 50p to see it was missing 3 balls. So we left it and didn't bother trying anymore. Other than that, the holiday was perfect.

  • "Lovely quiet cottage, which was very clean and comfortable."

Everything you could need was provided. The playroom on site was a godsend with the few rainy days we did have, but could do with a few updated board games for older children if possible. Great location for trips to Newquay, Padstow and surrounding beaches. We’ve already booked to come back next summer!

  • "Our stay at Cornflower Cottage was just perfect."

The grounds on the approach and of all properties were immaculate. What a welcome! We enjoyed the biscuits on arrival, thank you! Downstairs was bigger than the photos! Plenty of towels and kitchen cleaning items were greatly appreciated. We contacted the owner twice to check something and the response was immediate. Very professional and this makes such a difference. We certainly made use of the laundry room (couldn’t get the left machine working). Well stocked with plenty of clothes airers, baskets, brooms, hoovers to borrow if needed. The cottage was homely and comfortable with plenty of windows to let in the Cornish sunshine! The location to explore all areas of Cornwall was perfect. We felt very safe as only 5 cottages and our children were free to explore. It was very peaceful and friendly. Amazing countryside views overlooking the sheep and some cows in the distance (zero farm smell in case anyone wonders). My two 10yr old twins loved the swing. Games Room was well stocked, mostly for younger children. Shame we didn’t have change to use the machines in the Games Room. Would have been lovely if they were free! If I were to be super picky then I would have liked a whisk in the kitchen and more pegs in the laundry room to use and the bathroom fan and leather sofa could do with a quick clean but that was it. Didn’t affect our wonderful stay and we definitely plan on returning. Thank you!

  • "Cornflower cottage is beautiful."

It’s on a previous farm complex with 4 other cottages. All the essentials are provided including welcome tea/coffee/milk and biscuits, which was a lovely surprise. The cottage itself is spacious, comfortable and cozy, with great views from from the terrace area. The cottage was clean and we felt covid safe. It’s also in a great location and a few minutes drive from a main road, so really easy to get out and about and explore at the same time as feeling like you’re in the middle of the Cornish countryside.

  • "This could be a lovely cottage if it had a few bits upgraded such as the cooker, the bathroom and a better television in the lounge, the television in the bedroom is broken as is the radio in the kitchen."

I know the location is in the country but the cottage had spiders in every corner of every room and the webs down the side of the furniture had been there for a long while. There was food underneath the sofa, it seems as if the cleaner doesn't have enough time.I But the beds were comfortable and the linen was clean and of nice quality.

Rugs and carpets unclean - peanuts and pennies left under a table from previous customer. Short black hairs on the carpet in the living room. Garden furniture dirty, plastic burger wrappers left in garden. Plug hole blocked in bathroom with hair. No recycling facilities, communal bin over flowing by Wednesday. Oven working intermittently.
