5 Customer Reviews

  • "Our hosts were very friendly and welcoming."

The Cottage is super spacious. The kitchen is well equipped. Beds very comfy. The welcome cream tea, card and flowers much appreciated. The swimming pool on site is a boon. The view from the lounge would be improved, if the small tree on the right was cut down. Ideal location for superb coastal and estuary walking. Just ten minutes walk away, is a fabulous viewpoint looking down over the estuary.

  • "Great house with compact en-suite with each room as well as a downstairs bathroom."

Small garden if you bring the dog and nice walks straight from the house. Added bonus that the pizza van, taco stand and fish & chip van visited on different nights which eased catering! (NB book your pizza’s in advance!)

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage, thank you."

Much appreciated the thought and skill that has gone into modernising whilst enhancing its characterful 'old time' feel. It's location is great, central to the lovely Roseland peninsular beaches and villages and right opposite the pool and sauna. Would love to return...

  • "Hidden little gem for sure ."

Absolutely loved this cottage . Very comfy and perfect for the family . Location is away from everyone which is great . We used the pool most days too . We have found our go to place and will be returning next year with more family members . If buying was a possibility, I’d buy it tomorrow

  • "The cottage was beautiful and so relaxing to be in."

Being able to use the pool and spa facilities on the park site was a real plus as well. The beds were all comfy and having a separate ‘wing’ to the adult living room and bedroom was great! The only reason I didn’t give 5stars is because you can’t quite see the sea view from the garden and the garden isn’t enclosed enough to be able to let our naughty dog roam free as she runs away given any chance. But we had a long lead so it was fine! Lovely cream tea on arrival as well Thankyou!!

About the location

PORTSCATHO

St Mawes 5 miles ; Truro 15 miles ; Mevagissey 13 miles

Once an important pilchard-fishing village, today Portscatho is a popular holiday destination for those seeking a traditional seaside location. Brimming with Cornish charm, there is a sandy beach and a harbour, as well as a pub, a butcher’s, a greengrocer’s and a handful of gift shops and galleries. The coastline here is most scenic, with hidden coves, secret beaches and mile upon mile of undulating coastal footpath. The village of Gerrans is just a short stroll along the shore, and the beautiful Porthcurnick beach is also accessible via the coast path from Porthscatho. Portscatho offers a holiday away from it all, with a welcoming community spirit and several annual events which everyone gets involved with – including the fish festival each August.

Note: As this is a character cottage, care needs to be taken on the stairs, particularly elderly people and small children.
