  • "4 Rose Cottage is a wonderful property."

The location was perfect for exploring the many beautiful locations in Cornwall. It really was a home from home for me.

  • "Beautiful cottage."

The hot water needs to be remain hot all day as when you come back from the beach you have to boost the hot water every time someone takes a shower and this can take up most of the evening waiting for the hot water. Parking is tight when one of the other cottages doesn’t park correctly. Could do with extending the size.

Thankyou for your feedback. We will look into hot water situation. A little harder to extend parking area. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful stay."

The cottage is beautiful and we absolutely loved the personal touches showing the property’s history (ie paintings). The beds were very comfy and the facilities were fantastic. We appreciated the little things which you don’t usually receive. The only very small downsides were that the kettle does leak so may need a new one and there were quite a few cobwebs. Other than that it was perfect and we would definitely love to come back! Thank you !

  • "4 Rose Cottage is a lovely, well-equipped place."

We really enjoyed our holiday there. The roads into the cottage for approx 2 miles are very narrow so ttake care when driving in. There are sea view footpaths to various places which are lovely but very tasking, especially the one to Polperro but with good shoes, legs, heart, a few breaks and plenty of water they are very rewarding. There is a lovely cove approx 15minutes walk downhill from the cottage (uphill back), its rocky in the sea so probably not safe to swim in but lovely to see. A bus service morning & teatime 481/482 which changes in school hols & on a Wednesday too, is a good friendly service that stops outside the Church practically facing the cottage and goes to Polruan where you can catch the ferry to Fowey (both lovely places) and to Polperro and Looe the other way (again both lovely, especially Polperro). You can also catch boats from most ports, there's info at Polperro port. We intend to return to 4 Rose Cottage in the future :-)

  • "This is a beautiful cottage, spotlessly clean, and well equipped, However if you are a nervous driver and not used to miles of single track lanes then it is not for you; if I had done my research properly I would not have booked this cottage."

We stayed here before and will hopefully stay again. Everything was clean and very cosy. Very impressed with the shower. Good to be able to enter the cottage at the earlier time of 4pm.

  • "Great cottage & ideally located for exploring Cornwall, particularly the Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan."

Lovely church near by- we went to a service and everyone was very welcoming. Perfect amount of space for us and we found the beds very comfortable. The shower was out of this world - far better than ours at home! Only slight issues (which would not stop us visiting again) was the lack of a large saucepan - none of those provided were large enough to cook pasta for 3, and the listing said there was a DVD player and there wasn't.

  • "What a lovely cottage, so quiet, and surrounded by countryside."

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and would not hesitate recommending to our friends. We did not want to leave. I would change all the lighting to led, and it would save you on electricity.

  • "This is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location."

Quiet village and walking distance to a nice beach (Rocky rather than Sandy). The cottage was well equipped and very clean. Large garden which was perfect for relaxing on nice sunny days. Short drive to Polperro and not much further to the next town of Looe. We had a very relaxing week and will be booking to come back. Thank you

  • "We had a lovely holiday, the cottage was perfect."

The beach was 20 to 30 minutes walk from the cottage not the 9 minutes listed on the advert but this was not an issue for us. We would definitely book this cottage and holiday again.

Thank you for you feedback. The description doesn’t specify a time frame for the walk to the beach but it is slightly less than 1 mile. 4 Rose Cottages is perfect for ramblers and walk lovers Property Owner

  • "Great location but not a very comfortable property - sofas uncomfortable, single beds could feel the springs, need proper curtains in the bedrooms not just nets as the light streams in, need a privacy blind in the bathroom."

Thank you for your feedback. The owner will take in consideration your comment and will make some modification to improve the comfort for all guests. We hope you will visit 4 Rose Cottages again for more lovely holidays Property Owner

  • "We know and love the location and last time (3 years ago or so) stayed at no."

1 Rose Cottages. Facilities good overall - kitchen very clean and well equipped, property very clean throughout. Shower very good. What was really disappointing about this particular cottage - no.4 - was the comfort. Double bed absolutely shocking in terms of comfort - I slept on the floor every night for the week we were there. Single beds barely any better (on which my wife slept near to the baby). Noted similar comments in the visitor book and this issue is clearly yet to be addressed. A pity as other than that it's a great property in a stunning location.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you enjoyed Rose Cottages and that you like the area. We are sorry to hear you had problems with the mattress and the owner is taking your feedback in consideration. The owner will make some modification to improve the comfort for all guests. I think double bed rather than a queen size would be preferable & slightly more comfortable lounge furniture would have made it perfect. The property was spotlessly clean throughout The WiFi was good too. Lovely location, if a little tricky for the bigger car to get to. Gladly we took a small car. We very much enjoyed our stay.
