  • "The property was more compact than the photos depicted but still a lovely place to stay."

Fully kitted kitchen with every day equipment to use.y husband did find the settee a bit on the short side height wise due to being a bit taller than average. It was light which made it feel a little bit more spacious given how compact the living area was. The bedroom & shower room were a good size. Plenty of light coming through skylights , windows & a french door leading to a top patio area. I did find the stairs slightly narrow being a plus size woman so made it awkward to carry my frenchiecross dog up them( he's not good going upstairs) so I took him up the outside steps at the side of the property to be with us on the outside upstairs patio . The patio at the front was a good size & lovely seating area to wind down after a busy day exploring Cornwall. Mike & Ady were very friendly & chatty as well as being helpful when we asked for places to go with our dog. They're dogs were also very friendly Rufus & Gerty. All in all we had a lovely relaxing time at The Stables. Would book it again in the future. Thanks for a lovely week stay Jacque & Matt & Rocco

The open-plan living space welcomes you to relax amongst exposed granite walls, high ceilings, and skylights.

Glide across oak floors to settle on the sofa and into a story on the Smart TV.

Prepare a delicious supper from local ingredients with the help of an electric oven, induction hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer, then dine at the intimate table for two.

When the sun follows you home, enjoy a home-cooked barbecue with the setting sun in the enclosed rear courtyard.

Rinse off the day in a shower room whilst the dishwasher and washing machine take care of your plates and laundry, then fall into a king-size bed waiting to catch you.

The Stables is located in the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site and the West Penwith Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, meaning there is plenty to explore on your visit.

Stroll down the lane to the coast path and enjoy the finest views at Cape Cornwall or the iconic Botallack Mines, before topping off the day with a bite at one of the several pubs in St Just town square – just a stone’s throw from your property!

Venture a little further afield for Penzance to treat the artist to Newlyn Art Gallery and Penlee House Gallery & Museum, before enjoying a scenic stroll along Penzance Promenade to Newlyn fishing harbour or the beautiful old port of Mousehole.

Take that short drive (or open-top bus) to St Ives to indulge in a beach day at Porthmeor Beach, explore the Tate St Ives, and admire the sea views from St Ives Head.

Cornwall adventures are never far when you book a stay at The Stables.

ST JUST

Penzance 7.2 miles; St Ives 12.9 miles.

St Just is the nearest town to Land’s End and is situated approximately eight miles west of Penzance. The town itself is an ancient settlement that has a strong mining history and there are several monuments and prehistoric antiquities to visit including the Bronze Age settlement at Cape Cornwall. St Just is ideally located for visitors to explore the far west of Cornwall as it is situated on the edge of the moors and close to the beautiful north coast. In the centre of the town is Plain-an-Gwarry, a theatre used for miracle plays in medieval times, and in more recent times for the Lafrowda Festival.
