  • "We had a lovely stay at the Beach Retreat in late August."

The chalet is bright, modern and comfortable. It is ideally located for all the local beaches, a trip to Padstow and beyond. Communication with the owner about the property and key collection was great. It was also lovely to meet the owner, who popped around to say hello during our visit.

  • "The property would have been very tight for more than 2 people."

Cleanliness was poor and the facilities on the sight were poor. No club house just a marquee with 9 tables and a food van turned up 2 times a week. Very poor

Thank you for staying with us and the review too. Hope to see you again sometime in the future! Property Owner

James who owns the lodge popped by to check all was ok, which was a wonderful gesture. The lodge was extremely comfortable, the bed was amazing and the lodge was close to all amenities. I felt very safe there alone with my daughter. We would visit again in a heartbeat.

  • "Chalet 216 has been the perfect base for our holiday in Cornwall."

Very well equipped with everything that you might need, clean and comfy. Ideal location with so many beautiful coves and towns within 5/10 minute drive and maximum one hour drive from areas such as lands end and Penzance.

  • "Chalet 216 was a lovely base in a great location for touring the beautiful coast of padstow."

It was fully equipt with everything you should need for a self catering stay. The beds are super comfy with good quality matresses. The chalet was clean, but did find the bed pillows smelt fusty so would use my own in future self catering breaks. The towels provided were lovely and soft, great quality. The onsite facilities are a little basic like the shop, club house and games room but the food in the club house was lovely and the price was reasonable. Wifi didnt work in the clubhouse, even though they gave us a password, or the other option was to purchase wifi was £10 per device which we chose not to do as found that expensive. Overall all we loved our stay, thank you.

  • "We stayed at this beautiful chalet for the jubilee week."

The hosts of the property are lovely just the right balance between being attentive and certainly not imposing. We were allowed to check in earlier as no one was in the property before us, again it was a lovely gesture from the owners especially after a 7hr trip from Manchester with a 2yr old! The chalet is spotless and exactly as it looks on the photos. It has everything you could possibly need all you need to take is your clothes and food. The beds are really comfortable and the bedrooms are so bright and airy. It was the first time my son had slept in a single bed and he loved it! The chalet is in a great part of the site too close to all the amenities but still a quiet location. The chalet has a large grassed area to the front and side which is great as you can watch little ones run around from the comfort of the decking. We can’t speak highly enough about this place, not only was it perfect it was also reasonably priced especially for the Jubilee Week! We will definitely be back!

Further afield you can venture into the popular surfing town of Newquay; the vibrant town is teeming with attractions, shops, restaurants, and pubs, from the Newquay Zoo and Blue Reef Aquarium to the Pirate's Quest Adventure Golf Course, ideal for a day out with the kids.

Closer to home, the site offers plenty of activities for the children, a play park, classic arcade games, and for the adults, a bar and restaurant with tasty homemade food.
