  • "Lovely house, nice to find a house that can fit 2 families with enough table space, chairs, crockery etc!"

Really comfy beds, parking (which could be more clearly marked as one of our spaces initially had been taken by the farmhouse next door) Short walk to the beach with options down the road or on footpaths. We will certainly be back.

Thank you for your lovely review - I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. I will look into the parking signage and see if we can make it clearer. Kind regards Mary Property Owner

Great location with lots of beautiful dog friendly beaches and walks nearby which were very much appreciated by our border collie. Will definitely be back.

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Liz! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Mary Property Owner

  • "Porth Farm Annexe is a delightful cottage in a fantastic location, it is quaint and quirky as you would expect with a property of this age."

It is well equipped and provides comfortable accommodation with a large open plan living area with wonderful views from the huge windows. The first floor bathroom would benefit from an upgrade (to include a shower) to reflect the same quality as the ground floor bathroom. Our host was very friendly and quick to respond to any queries.

Thanks so much for your feedback, Janet, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. Yes, the first floor bathroom is next on the list for an upgrade! Mary Property Owner

  • "The house was good for a family with 4 small boys and the location was perfect."

However we had a few minor issues:- Both toilet seats were loose and not easy to use for the boys. Very limited space to wash and dry washing, as we had 4 boys and 4 adults having a beach holiday we had lots to wash.

Thank you so much for your feedback. The toilet seats are now tightened, and a second washing line put up. Kind regards Mary Property Owner

  • "There was no property manual to tell us what to do with the rubbish and recycling or how the heating system worked."

I understand that there is underfloor heating downstairs but there are radiators in all rooms which seem to be redundant. We survived a couple of cold days with the woodstove, but no matches so took a while to get going. Otherwise it is a good location and a very friendly neighbourhood.

Thank you so much for your feedback. I do apologise for the lack of information and matches! I send out an email to guests with directions and information prior to their stay, but it appears this did not reach you. I will now also make a physical property manual which will be kept in the house. Kind regards Mary Property Owner

  • "My 8 children, husband and I had a wonderful time at The Anexe."

It is only 10 minutes walk from the beach, which is one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen. From the living room you have lovely view of Mawgan Port. We enjoyed a lot the fire place, the kitchen is well supplied and the beds are clean and comfortable. Bathrooms are nice as well. There is nothing fancy about this property but the coziness and homeiness of this place is making us want to go back.

Dear Dina, thank you so much for your kind review, I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Absolutely loved the house, it was perfect for my family and our friend’s family."

Lovely location and everything was brilliant. Our only issue was the property wasn’t ready with the cleaner at 4pm and we received no apology which really grates on me, had there been an apology from the woman cleaning we’d have not even made a comment.

Hi Hollie I do apologise for this! I will follow up with the cleaner and find out what happened. Many thanks for your feedback. Kind regards Mary Property Owner

  • "We had a great time staying at the Annexe, we had a couple of minor issues that Mary the owner sorted for us very quickly."

Our only other comment is that the garden wasn’t enclosed at all and our 7month old puppy led 3 or 4 escapes. So we had to use a combination of garden furniture to prevent further escapes. In addition a light that faces onto the garden area would also be a good addition to light up this area for those who let their canine friends out late at night.

Loved the upside downiness so we could appreciate the wonderful views. Very confortable beds and quality linen - much appreciated after our long days out & about. Everything you could need in the kitchen. Thank you!

  • "The location is superb, the beds are comfortable and the house is warm."

There is a need for a shaving socket in the bathroom and a microwave oven in the kitchen as 40 min to heat a ready cooked meal is waist of energy.

Thank you for your feedback. We can't put in a shaving socket but will certainly consider a microwave! Kind regards, Mary Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic week in September in the Annexe."

The open plan kitchen sitting room is lovely. There are windows on three sides and the light and the views are stunning. It was very comfortable and relaxed and very well equipped. It manages to have an old fashioned quality whilst still providing mod cons and has lots of thoughtful touches. Location is great, just up the (steep) hill from the shops/beach. Lovely walks all around and lots of other places to visit within a short distance.

Our family of 5 had an amazing fortnight here, and Mary couldn’t have been more helpful. Our only minor comment would be that it could have been cleaner when we arrived, but overall we were very very happy.

  • "We had such a great holiday but there were a couple of things we would have changed."

There was hardly any outdoor space for the children to play considering the size of the property. All the windows didn’t have curtains so when there were people staying in the caravan they were able to see into the living room. My daughter had a few privacy issues and that is what she disliked the most. We could have done with another shower as it’s not always practical to have baths all the time so there was always a queue for the downstairs shower. The annex was really comfortable, well stocked for catering for big parties, dishwasher, washing machine and drier all a godsend with four mucky children!! Mary was a fabulous host (even thought we didn’t actually meet) but the one issue we had she sorted it and phoned me to apologise. All in all I would recommend this property with no hesitation. So worth the 6 hour drive.

Dear Lesley Thank you so much for your feedback. We took down the curtain in the living room window last year to make space for coat hooks, but will now look to block it in altogether after your helpful comment. We also plan to convert the upstairs bathroom into a shower room longer term. I'm so glad you had a lovely holiday! Kind regards Mary Property Owner

  • "Property is in an excellent location and although a little dated in the kitchen and living room area, suited our needs."

With some small adjustments to front garden and trees parking could be made bigger and easier. Some confusion about how many adults the property catered for was clarified (we believe the property description had changed after we booked) and also check in/out day was gratefully resolved. Would be happy to stay here again and recommend to others.

  • "We have just returned from Porth farm annexe after a wonderful week!"

Wow.. What can I say, the property is fantastic! Lovely open plan kitchen/living room with a beautiful log fire, perfect after a long day walking. Beds are so comfortable and plenty of space for storage in the cupboards. My two dogs loved the little garden and with the beach just a short walk away the location was perfect for us. We particularly loved the large windows in the living room where the views across Mawgan Porth are beautiful. Mary the owner was lovely and sent me lots of information about the property and the area. We will definitely be returning to Porth Farm annexe!
