  • "Very enjoyable stay."

Flat was lovely and spacious. Food at the cafe was delicious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed hearing the trains being prepared for the day. Was an excellent base for our holiday.

  • "Great stay made special by such warm and friendly staff."

Our boys loved watching the crew getting the train ready in the morning as well as access to the site. Such a calm and peaceful place in the evenings and a short drive from Newquay and lovely sandy beaches. Flat was good size for our family of four. We’ve already booked to come back next year!

  • "Great space & location."

The flat has freeview tv, dvd player, dvd's puzzles, toys etc so nothing is really needed for entertainment. The trains get ready for the day right outside the window and staff took time to show the engine and talk about how it runs which made our holiday very special!

Great on site facilities and fantastic to be able to use it all as part of our stay. Kids loved the trains and watching them be prepared each morning

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Station Flat."

Well supplied kitchen and well planned accommodation. All staff were helpful and told us things we needed to now, eg local interest. Great location. Even as a bunch of big kids we could not resist the charms of the railway and all of the facilities in the park, very well planned out.

  • "We absolutely loved our stay in the Station Flat."

The facilities were just perfect for anyone holidaying with a small child or indeed older children (washing machine particularly). Perhaps some kitchen space to store food would be helpful as we had to leave ours in bags on the floor (we didn't mind but it was awkward). The whole place is just amazing and the staff were just something else! So lovely to find people so willing to help and take time to chat and still be smiling at the end of a hard day's work. Full credit to Lappa Valley staff, one and all. We would book again in a heart beat!!

  • "The station flat is well appointed and it says alot that my only complaint is the mattress was too soft for me and the water pressure a bit low."

.. The staff at Lappa Valley were lovely and welcoming and that access to the park is included makes this an excellent deal for families with kids!!! I fully intend to go and stay there again!!!

  • "An amazing location particularly for our train-mad boys."

The staff were so friendly and helpful. The flat itself is very well furnished and is in a very quiet and beautiful setting. The children enjoyed playing on the little play area outside in the evenings and chatting to the engine drivers in the mornings as they got the engines running. Lappa Valley is a fantastic place with so much to do, and once the soft play and new cafe is open, it will be an added bonus. Highly recommend staying here, we had a wonderful week.

  • "Lovely flat, great staff and the access to lappa valley is brilliant."

Lots of space, clean and great amenities. It did feel quite remote at night - no alarm system or additional security given there was nobody else at all on site at night and it was in a remote area.

  • "This is a lovely little flat in a great location."

It's fairly remote, and extremely quiet at night. Zero light pollution if you are into stargazing, and the Lappa Valley railway is brilliant for young children, which you can partake FOC as much as you want. The only downside is the broadband is very poor and drops out a lot. I found setting my laptop to treat the wifi as a metered connection helped a lot. There is no mobile signal or 4g at all, on any network, so if being connected is important to you this may not suit your needs.

  • "Really enjoyed our stay."

Cottage was well equipped. We found the shower small & our only other slight negative was the WiFi. Lovely quiet location and the use of the trains was an added bonus that any young train enthusiast would love. All of the staff were very friendly and made us very welcome. We would gladly return.

  • "The accommodation was in a great location, as it is central to all areas of Cornwall, the only problems were the water in the shower was hard to get the right temperature as the water comes out boiling hot, could be a problem if someone just went into the shower, the cold water bathroom sink just trickles out have to brush teeth in kitchen sink everything else was as expected, we had s great time."
