  • "The Argal apartment situated at Treverva Farm is in a really good location to be able to explore Cornwall."

Argal is modern and nicely decorated the bedrooms and bathroom are generous in size with extremely comfortable beds. The kitchen is well equipped with modern oven microwave induction hob fridge freezer and dishwasher. The kitchen does need additional crockery limited glass wear and only 4 bowls plates side plates and mugs but we managed. The stools at the breakfast bar are a bit too high beautiful to look at but not as practical or comfortable to use. The area is wonderfully quiet and peaceful lovely for the dogs with a great exercise area to stretch their legs first and last thing each day. If mobility is not a problem there’s a walk down the field to the Argal reservoir footpath a walk around the whole reservoir takes around an hour unless like us you stop and enjoy a coffee and cake at the cafe half way round. The Red Lion pub and New inn are close by both served delicious food probably best to book and Windjammer in Falmouth was also fabulous. We had a wonderful week and loved our stay Ian was on hand for any questions highly recommended.

  • "We had a great time @ Argal."

The beds were super comfy as was the front room. Hot tub was great as was the games room. All facilities were good. Also, nice and warm in the accommodation. The dog running field was great. I would love to visit in the Summer and have a go on the tennis court. Good location for visiting Newquay, Mevagissey, Charlestown, Flushing etc.. Falmouth has lots of nice eateries and quirky shops. Verdant Brewery is a great spot to have a drink and pizza. The quarry for zip lining is 5 mins away which my boys enjoyed.

  • "We really liked our stay here."

The place has a certain charm which we really enjoyed. Our daughter enjoyed going to see the animals kept on the farm and the property is set in an idyllic rolling landscape which serves as a great base to explore Cornwall. We visited Falmouth, St Mawes, and Trelissick Gardens during our short stay, all of which are within easy commuting distance by car. We were super impressed for the price we paid and would visit this property again. Argal Lake is just down the hill and we went walking around there too. The owners were on hand to answer our questions. The communal hot tub was easy to book and we had no issues getting a spot in it. There’s a rented stable on the property and our daughter enjoyed talking to the people who kept horses there, all of which were very accommodating and kind to our daughter (she’s four and asks many questions

  • "We absolutely loved the location and the apartment, the owners are also lovely however the extra touches and finishing just weren’t there."

Cobwebs, no hand soap or spare toilet rolls, not as clean and facilities were shut even though no additional covid measures were in place anywhere! It felt like they didn’t really want to look after the communal areas which were the main reason we booked this. Also I do think the hot tub fee should be included in the price. To pay £40 for us all on top of the booking price for just the hot tub, no robes as advertised and no changing facilities we thought was a bit too much. This place was great to stay at but it felt a bit rushed between Christmas and new year. Attention to detail and use of the facilities (or at least notice that they were closed) would make this 5 star!

We loved the furnishings and decor in Argal which we found to be comfortable, well-equipped, spacious and very homely too. It was great to be greeted by friendly goats and vocal Dexter cattle after a day walking the Cornish coastal paths, and what a bonus to have Argal Lake on the doorstep, providing a lovely Sunday morning stroll down through the fields. A car is needed but the centre of Falmouth is only a 10-minute drive. There is a great view of Argal lake which is accessed directly from the property. The hosts were really friendly and helpful. For our 7-year old there was a trampoline she could use and a great dog, Marlow, who she adored. It’s a quiet escape but close enough to many places of interest, so the best of both worlds. We were met by Ian who was so welcoming and showed us around. We couldn't have asked for nicer accommodation. The beds were comfy and the bathroom was immaculate. There was a welcoming hamper when we arrived with bread, eggs, tea, coffee, sugar and some milk in the fridge. The cottage is on a farm so from the bedroom window you can see the horses which my 2 year old thought was amazing. There are really friendly goats, cows and two dogs, one of which (Marlow) was so fond of my daughter he would follow her around and they would play together in the grounds. The communal washing machine and dryer were a godsend. There is a really nice on site bar as well which we made use of.
