  • "We arrived there but took as an hour to get the right key code , apparently I haven’t received the email with the right code."

Apart from a mirror falling off the wall in the middle of the night because of poor fixing and tv not working the rest was good. Also be advised the the property is private and you cannot get access to the indoor pool, my daughter wanted to go there and I had to go somewhere else. Property was clean we arrived but in future would be good if top windows are opened a bit to let fresh air in.

  • "Good little 2 bed place, near the newquay town area."

Easy to find and parking nearby to home. Owners are quick to respond and resolve any queries or requests as well as the Sykes company when we were in need of communication. Comfortable accomodation for 2 adults (our stay) with a strong shower, comfortable bed and sofas.

  • "When I booked this property the listing said we would have access to the pool and other facilities provided at Atlantic Reach."

This was not provided and there was no way to access these facilities even by paying extra. Access to the pool was one of the main reasons I booked this property. Despite contacting the owner and Sykes nothing was done to resolve this. I see that someone else had the same complaint in September. Unfortunately I had booked before this was posted. The shower leaks water through the ceiling into the kitchen area. Water runs through one of the light fittings and there are big stains on the ceiling. There was a lot of dog hair on the upstairs carpets. We did not allow out dog upstairs. The Henry type cleaner provided is not much good for picking up dog hair!

The house had a very large stain on the ceiling, the bedroom window leaked rain in but house was great would stay there anytime, highly recommended

Thank you for your feedback. We do apologize about the stain on the ceiling. There had been a leak at the property and we were unable due a busy month to get this fixed before your stay. Property Owner

  • "We had no access to any of the facilities promised by yourselves."

No spa, no sauna, no gym. Very little was provided in the property. There was out of date milk in the fridge and the room with two single beds smelled of damp and the ceiling in the lounge/kitchen was stained badly. The bathroom had broken tiles and the seal around the shower wasn’t done properly and the grout between the floor tiles was broken and coming away. Which probably meant that water was ingressing the ceiling below. Only one bath towel was provided per person for the whole stay. No instructions were provided as to how to use the heating or hot water so I had to text the owner which meant we couldn’t shower or use hot water after a 6 hour drive to the property. I tried to use the hoover to clean the carpet in the lounge and the Hoover stunk of dust. The pillows were flat and no spare ones were provided also one of my pillows had black marks on it. Finally, the listing also stated that there was a garden but there isn’t a garden, just a small grassed area in front of the property with a bench that was too rotting to sit to. The area was perfect to holiday in though and the site was quiet. No parking was available adjacent to the property and when they bring passes back into force anyone with a car renting this property will not be allowed to park because the owner won’t pay for ‘affiliation’ to give customers access to the site facilities. I really feel we should be given a refund given that the owner did not provide any of the benefits listed in your description and we paid a lot more than others with a better standard of accommodation who had access to facilities.
