Riseley is a civil parish located in North Bedfordshire, located approximately 10 miles north of the county town of Bedford with a population of 1,284 according to the last census. The village has one watercourse, which is a tributary of the river Ouse, flowing through it known locally as the ‘Brook’ around which in medieval times the village was built. A small shop, pub and miles of footpaths and bridleways surrounding the village making this an ideal place to relax and escape. A short drive away, Bedford has a wide selection of restaurants offering a variety of cuisines from around the world. In particular, Bedford is appreciated for its Italian community and the traditional family restaurants which have sprung up as a result of it. The Georgian market town of Olney is 13 miles away with several independent shops, restaurants and other services available. Olney also has a monthly farmers market on the first Sunday of the month, and a weekly general market every Thursday.As well as good connections by road to nearby towns there are regular train services into London Kings Cross and to Luton Airport from Bedford train station.
