We appreciate your thoughtfulness in providing everything to make us feel at home enabling us to cook, eat, sleep, shower, relax, access leisure activities and local cuisine. We enjoyed our stay as The Coach House is perfectly placed with easy access to numerous activities, places of interest, local restaurants both near and far travelling on foot, bicycle, public transport, taxi or car. We highly recommend visiting the many local restaurants especially The Swan which offers great (Gluten Free) food within a short walking distance We loved it so much we are sad to say goodbye!

We found it hard work getting into and out of bed due to the lack of room between the wall/banister rails-and the bed, at most there was 8ins between the two. And as for getting out of bed to use the loo without waking each other impossible. The floor was So Noisy to walk on. There is a large box section beside the toilet there was no padding or warning to how low it was until I hit my head. I’m only 5’10” and I couldn’t stand under the shower because it was to low. The only thing we found comfortable was to two setter sofa. I feel some TLC spent on this place is much needed before it’s to late.

Looked ideal on the site and didn’t disappoint us when we arrived. Had a little trouble finding it at first as it’s a sharp turn into the property and because the navigator was rubbish,(me)! Lovely cottage with private enclosed parking right outside the cottage. We were greeted by Mary who is absolutely lovely couldn’t do enough for us and very chatty. We had everything we needed and the Prosecco was a nice touch as was milk and stuff for beverages. Really no need as there’s a premiere just a few minutes walking distance if you need anything desperately. Lovely and cosy with central heating. The bedroom is a little tight for large people, which we’re not but otherwise comfortable. Quirky creaking floorboards up there which is well funny when you get up during the night trying not to wake your partner but you’d definitely hear unwelcome intruders. Not a problem if you’re hard of hearing lol

The bathroom did prove a major problem as there are height restrictions which weren’t previously mentioned. The shower sits over the bath and under a bulk head. For someone 6’5” it was difficult to shower as it’s not possible to stand under it. Anyone be possibly over 6’ could have difficulty. The only option is to sit in the bath and use the shower as a hand held if you want a shower rather than a bath. There’s also no natural ventilation as the window is far too high to open. The bedroom is exactly as it shows a very tight squeeze as the bed sits very snugly into an alcove. Again for anyone tall it can be a problem. It does need mentioning in the property description that there are some height restrictions.

We received a lovely welcome gesture of food and the bottle of rose wine was really nice and cold and went down very well with the comfort of relaxing after our journey. Great for a short walk around the village or a long walk out the country with foot path areas nearly all the way. Good for cycling too and it’s a nice 30 min ride into Bath following a quiet, fairly flat cycle route. Bristol city centre is not far either for shopping and I recommend eating out at La Famiglia which is a Top class and fairly priced Italian restaurant. There’s Cheddar gorge, Wookey hole and The Severn bridge within 30 mins or so if you fancy a drive then a walk about in the daytime but it’s lovely to get back to the cottage and chill out and the rooms warm up quickly and the shower is powerful and the bath nice and relaxing. The bedroom is upstairs and on it’s own and the full moon shone through a couple of nights which was nice ( there are dark blinds too if you prefer) and it’s so quiet waking up there too. We will definitely return there when we can again. I would also like to thank Mary again for posting on my trainers I left behind and for being kind and generous while we were there.

We were massively delayed in arriving due to horrendous traffic but the owner was so laid back and caring about the whole matter that it made things much easier for us. The cottage was a delight to stay in and we wouldn't hesitate to return. We left yesterday and I'm ready to go back now. Details like Prosecco and milk in the fridge, every mod con you can think of, more than ample towels, bedding, shampoo and other toiletries that we could have used if we'd chosen to, not to mention how clean everything was. Fabulous. The nearest convenience store was 5 mins walk away. Bath was easy to get to and we could have even hopped on the bus if we'd wanted to. Parking was expensive in Bath, like in all cities, and if it had been warmer, we would have caught the bus in. I left something behind (doh!) and the owner phoned me to say that she is posting it on to me. First class in all respects; this suited us very well.
