  • "Beautiful, well equipped cottage."

Very pretty, quiet location, in easy walking distance to shops, cafes and pubs of Corsham. Great WiFi connection.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Rose Cottage which had all the charm and character you would expect from a place like this."

In a very quiet spot and a short walk into Corsham it was very convenient and we would love to repeat again sometime. The only disappointment was one of the Log Burners could not be lit because of chimney problems but nevertheless we made good use of the one in the sitting room. Thankyou Janice.

  • "Owner was very easy to deal with and quick to respond."

The cottage was as advertised. Plenty of space and comfortable. Was extremely happy we decided to stay here and will look to use it again in the future.

  • "Stunning property and in pristine condition."

We will definitely like to return to this property again. Janice was great and ensured the house felt like a home. Beds were comfy, Lounges were great, fire was fab, kitchen amaaazing. there really is nothing I could find fault with, a great place to spend time making memories and base to explore the beautiful surrounding area. Can't recommend more highly, if you are on the fence about booking this place, get off it and press 'book' - you won't regret it!

  • "This place was one of the best we’ve ever stayed at."

Comfortable , spacious , beautiful location and generally plush . Even had Sky tv , which is not mentioned . Janice was very kind too as I accidentally left a lot of marks on a wood burner stove by trying to dry walking boots . A microwave would be a useful addition for generally just warming things . Beautiful place .

We were very pleased with everything and the kind lady managing the cottage responded immediately to minor problems and sorted them out straight away. We would enjoy another visit.

It was a great base for exploring Bath, Stonehenge, Salisbury and more. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend Rose Cottage.

  • "A beautiful cottage."

3 spacious bedrooms. Two lounge areas and a conservatory. Parking for one car or two very small cars at a squeeze. Down a dead end road so it is very quiet. The housekeeper is friendly and helpful.

  • "Beautiful cottage in a lovely quiet and peaceful location but within easy walk or drive into Corsham."

Housekeeper was very responsive. Plenty of room for our group of five adults and we very much enjoyed breakfast in the conservatory listening to the birds. Nice footpath right outside cottage. Hope to stay there again one day.

  • "Rose Cottage was superb."

Great location for walks and access to Corsham town. The only clarity I would suggest is that there are more parking spaces than 1 car, 3 cars can park with a squeeze and that the kitchen has no microwave, contrary to the kitchen description.

  • "We enjoyed our holiday at Rose cottage, comfortable, charming and warm."

The holiday was spoiled somewhat by the fact that there was only one shower for 6 people, as the main bathroom shower did not work, and for the amount of money we paid that was unacceptable. Had we been in the house in any othertime than xmas we would have demanded compensation. In fact as we are an ongoing user of Sykes we would appreciate some consideration.

  • "What a fantastic property to spend a holiday in!"

This was an exceptional place to stay with Rose Cottage making such a positive impact on our stay. Furnished and appointed to such a high standard and providing a touch of luxury which was such a pleasure to come home to after a day of exploring this exceptionally interesting part of the UK and we even managed to enjoy a night at the Theatre in Corsham - a complete treat. My wife and I cannot wait to make another reservation at Rose Cottage to visit some of those places we missed this time around. Thank you so much for helping us to enjoy ourselves so completely.

  • "What a beautiful home in the middle of such accessible interesting places."

Many National Trust homes around. Lacock village and Manor was our favourite. So many film set backdrops around this part of the country. Why wouldn’t there be! Janice was very helpful and communication with her was a joy. Totally recommended.

  • "The house is beautiful, furnished to a very high standard."

However, we had two problems. We had several power cuts because something was blowing the trip switch. The housekeeper tried to be helpful but it was a Sunday so difficult to get someone in. We managed with that. The second, the shower in the main bathroom only produced a trickle of water and it wasn’t very warm, although there was hot water in the basin. This was difficult. We were 6 adults and we all had to use the en-suite where there was a really good shower. On a simpler note, extra mugs or cups would be handy, there were 6 but they always seemed to be in the dishwasher. A lovely house though, hopefully those things can be fixed.

  • "Rose Cottage is a lovely place to stay."

Peaceful and very well equipped and maintained. In almost all aspects, it was perfect. Our only quibble would be that a walk to the nearest pub/restaurant once the evenings are drawing in would have felt quite unsafe, given the narrowness of the lane and the lack of lighting, although, to be honest, that didn’t end up being a particularly big deal.

The cottage itself is spacious and well-equipped, with a nice garden and in a great location. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

  • "A beautiful cottage in a lovely setting, down at the end of a very quiet lane with lots of birdsong from the trees."

It has a lovely conservatory where we spent the bulk of our time. All the furnishings were good quality and very new, I think. As my sister said, it just felt like you were staying at a friend's house as it was so homely and comfortable. Bedrooms were well furnished and very comfortable beds with everything we needed. There are many walks around the countryside surrounding it and a couple of lovely pubs in the old high street in Corsham. Many local National Trusts nearby too, to visit. Will hopefully return!
