"Amazing house , stunning location the house had everything we needed for our stay and cooking meals it was clean and well presented."
There seemed tobe a local hare that would sit in the garden along with squirrels which was great to watch. Some great walks long and short thou you can't go in the woods behind its nice tobe surrounded by the trees. Nice little pub 1.7miles away with a 90ft well in the bar floor and only short drive to marlborough which is lovely town. Totally enjoyed our holiday would definitely recommend.

"What a beautiful property set in the most picturesque setting!"
We cannot wait to come back! The house itself is beautiful. It is well equipped and so very cosy and warm when it is cold outside. Thank you Annie for decorating it for Christmas and for the best and most generous welcome hamper we have ever seen from a Sykes Cottage until now. It was also lovely to have met you during our stay. We had the most wonderful time and so did our dog. She loved all the smells and the massive garden to run around in. She was quite intrigued by the pheasants that seemed to visit every day and would sit and watch them as opposed to wanting to chase them. The setting of the house is beautiful. Being in an AONB it is surrounded by nature, woods right behind and fields.to the front with great walks right from the door. With no artificial light in the vicinity the sky is lit up with stars at night. It is in a great location, just an hour from Salisbury and Stonehenge and down the road from Avebury. There is just one thing that could be added to make the property perfect in our eyes. There is no fencing in the front garden by the road. I believe there used to be a little picket fence (like what runs around the side where you park your car) but that has been taken out and replaced with very young hedging plants which will take years before they provide any kind of a deterrent for a dog to make a run for it. It is a shame as we felt we had to watch our dog every minute she was out in the front because of the road which isn't a busy one but still is what it is. Having said that, I would still come back.

"We had a wonderful time at Chasewoods Farm Cottage."
It is a very nice and comfortable cottage to stay in. Beautiful surroundings. Only point of interest perhaps is the boiler heating up at night. It might be a little noisy.

"Well equipped cottage in idyllic setting, with lovely garden, and fantastic views."
Great location for walks, with wonderful scenery, from the cottage and further afield, and for exploring ancient sites such as Barbury Castle, White Horse Hill, Avebury etc.

"Lovely place."
Absolutely great time we had there. Perfect for families. Very welcoming caretaker. Large living room with open kitchen. Fantastic if you are with kids. Restaurants, shops and everything is within 10 miles. We definitely recommend the place.

"Returning to Chasewoods Cottage was wonderful - we love the peace and quiet and being surrounded by beautiful countryside."
Only a few miles from the lovely Market Town of Marlborough was great and visits to Avebury and the Cotswolds were so memorable. We hope to return again next year.

"Really enjoyed our stay."
Lovely views from the windows over open fields. Very comfy beds and facilities. Our dog loved the garden. Thank you to house the house manger and cleaning staff on our day of arrival. A peaceful week and rest.

"We had a great time."
The place is amazing and provides peace and tranquillity. If there were a downstairs toilet facility, it would have been perfect. But still it’s an amazing place

"What a little gem this cottage is."
We stayed here in freezing December as a base for our wedding and the cottage was cozy warm and comfortable. Travelling down from London to stay in the most tranquil quiet setting was such a treat, I hope we can come back again it was so relaxing.

"Spent a lovely time in the cottage which was a godsend given the bad weather."
Lovely crockery, sturdy glasses, lots of hooks to hang things on, wood burner and very well equipped. Just wish the lounge areas had more seating. We were only a four and it was a bit of a squish. Annie the key holder was great and was able to advise on things to bring, local eateries etc. I would definitely recommend.

"We loved our stay at Chasewoods Farm Cottage."
The house is ideally located being in a beautiful rural setting backing on to woodland and overlooking fields to the front but only 10 minutes drive to Marlborough. Our 5 year old daughter really enjoyed it too and loved exploring the house and the freedom to run about in the garden. It was great having Annie who looks after the house living just down the lane as she was so helpful. Stonehenge is only an hour away and so worth visiting while Avebury is just a few minutes away and so atmospheric and beautiful. We have already booked for next year and can't wait to go back!

"Lovely location."
Very well equipped cottage. Family friendly and close to many local attractions although we tended to mostly relax at the cottage in the garden. Annie was very helpful too

"Quite location with walks close by, would visit again."

"This is an absolutely beautiful cottage set in rural surroundings."
If you are looking for somewhere to get away from it all then highly recommend this. Cottage is decorated beautifully with a mix of modern and old. Very cosy snug area , open plan kitchen great for reading , but then second sitting room with small tv which was great for our 16 year old. Cottage has fully stocked kitchen. Everything you need. Fantastic area to be based to enjoy the surrounding areas. Great if you like walking and wildlife. Can’t recommend enough. We felt as a family it was home from home.

"This cottage is the best we have stayed in."
We loved the decor & furnishings & the great location. It was spotless, well equipped & very warm & comfortable. If you want a peaceful holiday with a great garden, pretty views & wildlife/walking on the door step this is the one to choose. We shall book again for next year. Thank-you very much.

"Fabulous well equipped cottage."
Beautifully furnished and extremely spacious and clean. Lovely welcome basket. The views are just amazing. I could not pass a window without stopping to enjoy the view. A truly restful place to stay.

"Qualty, well equipped, comfortable, up-to-date property in a beautiful setting."
Loved the tranquillity yet proximity to Marlborough.

"A really lovely and well equiped cottage!"
Nice garden and surroundings. We (family of four frim The Netherlands) had a perfect holiday! One small footnote: we encountered a lot of cobweb and spiders in most of the rooms. Maybe an attention point for the cleaners?

"We love this cottage -this was our second visit."
Love the house itself and location. Perfect.
-
"A lovely cottage, thoughtfully decorated with a mix of old and new."
Very well equipped kitchen with everything you need. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms. Great location for exploring Wiltshire. Marlborough is a lively market town. Also close enough to visit Avebury, Stonehenge etc. Would love to come back in the summer to use the garden and enjoy the country walks.

"We booked Chase cottage for Christmas and it was more than we could of asked for."
The cottage was beautiful and well equipped and very comfortable. I have booked through Sykes Cottage before and everytime we have been delighted with our accomadation and this one was just as delightful with a log burner that came in very useful when we woke up to 8inch of snow and no power but a very warm cottage. I would highly recommend Chase Cottage.

"What an amazing farm house."
The surroundings of the beautifully laid out house are breath taking. A welcome basket on arrival so you can make a relaxing cup of tea and unwind, fantasic. We would recommend the farm house to anyone, friendly neighbours and great views who could ask for more.

"Chasewoods Farm Cottage was absolutely beautiful - I could have moved in!"
! It has been really thoughtfully and tastefully decorated and planned. We spent a family girls weekend away there so the accommodation suited us well. Loved the family room with the separate snug tv lounge. The views are stunning and it was very very peaceful (even in spite of the fact we were there for one of the 2 annual days permitted shooting nearby!!). Good walks from the door, Marlborough within easy reach and plenty of parking too. Highly recommended.

"A wonderful holiday in a stunning location."

"The only thing missing from the kitchen was a microwave which we found ..."
The only thing missing from the kitchen was a microwave which we found inconvenient as had to use oven etc for heating meals that should have been quick and easy for when you are on holiday

"2e badkamer: temperatuurknop werkte niet waardoor douche veel te heet was en niet gebruikt kon worden."
Erg weinig handdoeken voorhanden voor huurperiode. Voor gebruik wasmachine wordt verwacht dat je een vergoeding betaald. Op 2 slaapkamers bedompte geur door vocht, op vloerbedekking vlekken. Omgeving is prachtig. Bij aankomst mand met wijn, chips, fruit, thee en koekjes. Koffie, kruiden voldoende aanwezig, melk voor eerste dagen in ijskast. Al met al een heerlijke vakantie.

The village boasts a fine pub serving good food and ales as well as a renowned golf club which welcomes visitors.
