"Rosemary Cottage is a lovely comfy, homely and spacious cottage which has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing stay."
Facilities are exceptional with every bedroom having its own bathroom or ensuite and television. It was nice to have a sitting out area in the courtyard outside as well as parking for two cars. The cottage is situated in a perfect location with only a 3/4 minute walk to the High Street and ideal for sitting by the river watching the world go by or exploring the shops. Plenty to do in Bourton-on-Water with transport and toy museum, birdland and the model village as well as other lovely villages nearby to travel to if you wish. Good communication with the owners who are so helpful and I would thoroughly recommend this holiday cottage.

"The property was perfect and far more spacious than the pictures show."
Everything was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well provisioned, we didn't want for anything, including a set of scales when we decided to make pancakes on a whim!
The location is perfect for a central stay in Bourton and the 2 parking spaces made it so very easy to pop out for day trips without worrying about finding parking when we returned. The location is peaceful despite being so close to the centre of the town.
The communication we had via Sykes and particularly the owners was fantastic, plenty of information beforehand and very quick and happy to respond to the few queries we had before and after arriving. The box of chocs left for us was a definite bonus and hugely appreciated by my daughter.
All in all I would happily recommend this property.

"The cottage is exceptional."
It is located in a very convenient area that every part of the picturesque village Bourton-on-the Water could be reached within 5 minutes walk.
The facilities are amazing, neighborhood is quite and beautiful and the owners are very kind and make you feel at home.
Definitely will stay at this cottage if I visited the area in the future and will recommend it to friends.

Minutes from the busy picturesque little river but with a quiet garden to return to.
The owners are personally in contact via email before, during and after the holiday.
I liased with the owner Sheila about a couple of things by email. She answered quickly, efficiently and personally.
We would highly recommend Rosemary Cottage and are looking forward to returning.

"Brilliant location for a walking holiday with plenty of walking from the door."
Very pretty village with excellent facilities.
Accommodation was comfortable but for us the beds were a little hard and the decor a bit dated.
We had a great time.
We were so pleased to hear you found everything you needed for your holiday at the cottage, as we pride ourselves in providing everything you should need, and more, for your stay with us.
We are due to give the cottage a bit of a refurbishment, starting this week and continuing through the winter months. We were sorry you found the beds hard. We tried to strike a happy medium when selecting beds, but personal choice is so varied and of course there's nothing like your own bed. I can't remember a time when anyone has ever mentioned the beds being hard before, but we have had many people say how comfortable they found them.

"The cottage was well equipped, very clean and comfortable."
The beds were very comfortable. A bathroom for every bedroom wow! It made a change to have a bath every day, the baths filled very quickly and water was lovely and hot. The garden was a real sun trap, it was nice sitting out there. The cottage was in an amazing position, lovely and quiet, but just a few minutes walk from the town centre. Good shops locally and some great walks.

"Very comfortable and well equipped."
Very convenient location with parking (is necessary!). We enjoyed the patio, being private outdoors. Excellent area to visit gardens, and explore walks, village etc..
No need to bring oven gloves and tea towel as told. I'm not keen on the loose covers on furniture or so many plastic flowers! Recycling confusing but that's council not owner!

We were so glad you enjoyed your time at the cottage and for your very kind comments. Our guests comfort is very important to us and we strive to provide everything you would need on your holiday. As regards to the suite covers, they are necessary as the suite is a fine Italian leather, and needs an element of protection.
The two silk flower arrangements, and the two artificial plants downstairs, are from Scots of Stow, so are of quality. We would prefer to provide real plants and flowers, but we have to be mindful of guests who may suffer from intolerances and allergies.

"Rosemary cottage was in a perfect location and provided us with a good base for our holiday."
There are a couple of things I think the owners could improve on to make it more in line with similar properties of a similar price ( the standard for holiday cottages in general is now much higher than it was ten years ago ).
Firstly, invest in installing separate shower cubicles in the two bathrooms currently only with showers.
Secondly, buy new easy clean settees armchairs etc for the lounge.

There are 3 bathrooms at the cottage for 6 people, one for each bedroom. One with bath and separate shower cubical, one with a bath and attached shower unit , and one with a bath. A lot of properties who cater for 6 people, of our standard, only have 2 bathrooms, and then offer an over bath shower attachment as a second facility also. There are structural reasons why more shower cubicals cannot be added to the cottage. It is difficult to strike a balance to accommodate all peoples requirements, but there is a choice, and most guests are more than happy with what we provide. All facilities are made clear in the cottage description.
We have an Italian leather suite at the cottage that is of a high quality, and I'm not sure how we could improve on this by replacing it with an easy clean suite with washable covers. We treat our leather suite regularly to keep it up to standard.

"A lovely comfortable cottage which was very conveniently located being only a few minutes walk right into the heart of Bourton on the Water."
The cottage was very clean and well equipped. The master bedroom suite was well laid out with a walk in wardrobe and en-suite and a very comfortable bed. The three bathrooms meant that everyone had there own. The only observation I would have is that there is only one shower, which is in the master bedroom en-suite, as the other bathrooms only had baths and so it was not convenient for showering in the morning. Otherwise we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rosemary Cottage and would definitely stay there again.

"The cottage has every facility you could want."
it is ideally situated close to the town centre within easy walking distance. Easily large enough for family groups, plenty of space to relax. Best of all it has 2 allocated parking spaces.

"Our first time at Rosemary Cottage, found it to be very clean and comfortable, only slight niggle was the lighting was poor, and perhaps could do with a couple of reading lamps by fireplace, and behind settee."
Beds very comfortable which is a big plus, also the parking facility which is
a bonus especially in Bourton.
Overall very happy with the cottage, and plan to return in 2017.

"Very clean cottage ,beds comfy."
Found the covers on the sofas and armchair an absolute pain.The furniture is lovely you cover it because of the type of leather which is probably not practical for holiday accommodation.Would also have liked hand towels or advised to bring our own.Mostly this was a lovely cottage in an excellent position so anybody who visits should be very pleased.

A charming and beautifully furnished end-terrace Cotswold stone cottage, perfectly located just three minutes walk from the heart of Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the most picturesque villages in the Cotswolds.
Set over three floors, the cottage oozes quality and charm.
From the front hall enter the elegant sitting room which boasts luxurious Italian leather sofas and chair, ideal for relaxing whilst watching your favourite film after a day exploring the area.
There is an exceptionally well-equipped kitchen, which has everything the chef of the party could ask for.
At the rear of the property is a dining room, which has a picture window overlooking the rear sunny courtyard, perfect for catching up with friends over dinner.
There is also a downstairs cloakroom.
Make your way upstairs to two lovely and beautifully furnished bedrooms, the master king-size double having the added benefit of a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite bathroom with separate shower and bath, while the second double bedroom has fitted wardrobes and its own separate bathroom.

Countryfile presenter Adam Henson's rare breeds farm, Cotswold Farm Park, is also close by.

Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the historic village of Bourton-on-the-Water dates back to Neolithic times with over 100 buildings being Grade II listed or higher. The picturesque high street nestles alongside the River Windrush over which several low stone bridges span, which is why Bourton-on-the-Water is known as the Venice in the Cotswolds. Tradition states that an annual football match is played in the summer, in the River Windrush with the banks lined with spectators, with the aim to score as many goals as possible and get as wet as possible! The village has an eclectic range of visitor attractions, including The Model Village, Cotswold Motor Museum, Birdland Park and Gardens as well as a Dragonfly Maze, monthly farmers’ market as well as many tea rooms, an artisan bakery, antiques and craft markets, traditional sweet shop, cycle hire and its very own perfumery. Nearby, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises traditional England.
