  • "We recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming holiday cottage for christmas, and it exceeded all expectations."

The warm and inviting atmosphere, coupled with the picturesque surroundings, made for a perfect getaway. The hosts’ hospitality was exceptional – they went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, providing thoughtful touches and local insights that added to the overall experience. From the well-appointed accommodations to the personalized attention, every detail was meticulously crafted. I highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone seeking a delightful retreat with a touch of genuine hospitality. P.s The loft bedroom was a welcome surprise!!! Thank you Sue and Andrew! We hope to visit again!

  • "Great cottage, plenty of space and very comfortable , extremely kind and helpful owners and the small town is vey welcoming and has everything you need."

We walked a lot in the undulating stunning landscape thick with Autumn colour . A short drive or bus ride is Stroud ( amazing market on Saturdays) , Tetbury ( Highgrove and Arboretumm) and Cirencester all worth seeing, as is Newark Park - a steep but pretty walk away. Very pleased with our November Hol.

Thank you for you feedback with regards to you stay at Waterloo Mill Cottage. It's amazing to hear how much you enjoyed your stay and area. We would love to welcome you back again soon. Kind regards Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "The owner Sue made us feel very welcome before we had even arrived at the cottage."

She text and made sure we knew what we needed to know and to generally make us feel welcome. Throughout our stay Sue stayed in touch via text and email to ensure we had adequate information about places to visit or to eat at. Her local knowledge was invaluable. She also didn't mind us contacting her no matter what. We would have loved to have been able to have a room each on the same floor, but managed to enjoy two rooms together and the attic space. My nine year old would have loved to have stayed for longer. The space is lovely and very homely yet with a certain luxurious feel. The bird feeders in the tree by the kitchen sitting area was incredibly thoughtful and a complete joy to sit and watch. We would have liked to have seen the basement and had a washing machine available because of the time of year and outdoor activities involved. The message Sue sent after we left was so lovely and meant a lot. I understand the cottage is for sale but if the carpet on the stairs, hallway and landing was replaced the cottage would have very few faults. A beautiful holiday destination that we would have definitely returned to given the chance. One of the most spacious, luxury holiday homes we have enjoyed!

With private parking and proximity to the town centre the Mill cottage somehow manages to feel totally secluded yet just minutes walking from the local amenities.
