  • "Do not book this property."

The property is very dirty with stains on the carpets and sofas. No curtains in 2 of the rooms Mould in some rooms Lots of ingrained dirt in many areas- feels like it need a complete deep clean - yes I have many photos and videos to prove this. WiFi didn’t work - the owner rectified this very quickly - but was aware before our arrival. The hot tub was broken and the chlorine so high it destroyed some swim wear. The dart board didn’t work Heating in the games room Don’t work so we couldn’t use that. Indoor games room is very good. Spacious kitchen Decor is shabby - mould and wall paper coming away from the wall in several places. Front slabs move and are a hazard. Some of our group left early because of the noncurtain aspect on the bedrooms. Comfy beds. Only 1 bathroom for the house and the water doesn’t drain away in the shower- which we had to deep clean before using. The en suite shower is tiny and not good. There is one downstairs toilet. The freezer was very dirty in the draws inside. We would recommend the owner spend time cleaning and maintaining the property as it doesn’t look like the photos- it has a lot of potential As it is big- however it is now in need of repair and should not be rented out again until the long list of problems are rectified as it isn’t fair to paying customers and we are not the only ones! We are trying to get this resolved as it really impacted our special occasion as was not as advertised or described. We have reported this to Sykes as it really isn’t as it is portrayed in the photos and many features were not available during our stay.

  • "No wifi, none of the TVs worked, coffee machine didn't work, the jets in the hot tub sprayed water everywhere but In the hot tub so the bubbles didn't work, the electric dart board didn't work, there were holes in the wall in the ensuite, the house felt quite."

Run down and not maintained, I wouldn't recommend and I wouldn't stay here again

  • "This is a fantastic house in a great location."

Very comfortable stay and lots of space. The bar, pool table, arcade games and hot tub made the stay. Everything was decorated beautiful and very relaxing. Feedback to the host. We did let the host know the back door was catching and we couldn’t use it. Also the main coffee machine didn’t work so it would be useful to have a cafetière - but that is just a suggestion. We loved the house and desperately want to come again! We had a great time.

  • "We stayed here for a family 30th birthday party."

The house was beautiful on arrival, very clean and well presented. The space is huge and perfect for what we needed it for. We had an issue getting the heating on which was actioned and sorted very quickly by the owner. The house in general does need a bit of attention/TLC. A radiator had come off the wall, some windows/patio doors with no blinds or curtains, walls needing a real freshen up from scuffs and dents. There’s no drawers in the bedrooms which isn’t ideal when away for a week. Sofa beds are really only suitable for 1 person there’s no way you could get 2 people on them. Kitchen has plenty cups/plates/cutlery but there were a good few things that it didn’t have which you’d only really notice when cooking by which point it’s too late. Would also recommend bringing every single food item you need even down to salt/pepper/oil. No recycling facilities which isn’t great with the amount of rubbish produced by 18 people. Towels are very small but luckily had bought some of our own. Overall, it’s not total luxury if that’s what you’re looking for. But we did have a lovely stay and would probably go back if it were for another large celebration gathering. The external games room really made the whole week and was great fun. Really good size. And the hot tub is huge!

  • "We had a great time at the Bullseye."

We wanted a pre-Christmas get together with all our family of varying ages. Its location wan't what we were expecting in the middle of a residential estate but provided everything we need to keep everyone entertained. When we had issues with the heating in the garden/games room the owner was quick to respond and even sent desserts as an apology. (Thank You) . I would recommend the owner getting a few more pots for the kitchen (eg; roasting pans, serving bowls, mixing bowl and jugs for sauces/gravies.) We has a great time thank you.

  • "Unfortunately we didn’t have the stay we had hoped for."

We booked a few months in advance with the property listing as having a hot tub and washing machine. When we had arrived at the house and tried to use the hot tub we had noticed no electrics were working outside in the ‘games room’ and the hot tub was also not working. We had communicated this with the owner who did attempt to resolve this by getting an electrician to visit however he was only able to resolve the games room electrics meaning the house which we booked for having a hot tub , was not usable. The electrician came back on our second day and still couldn’t resolve the issue with the hot tub. He had said the owner mentioned to him it was a last minute booking and that the issues would take time to resolve. However this booking was not in fact last minute and I would have hoped as the owner knew these problems existed that they would have been rectified before we had our holiday. We booked this house specifically for the purpose of having a hot tub and this had ruined our stay. We also found that although listed, the property didn’t have a washing machine which was disappointing for us for those needing it. We also had noticed quite a few exposed wires in the games room which we see as a potential risk. And in the downstairs room we were unable to have the main light on due to constant flickering which was sore on the eyes. I feel that this property needs some maintenance to ensure of a pleasant stay as the bathroom extractor fans were very noisy and quite a bit of mould in the upstairs bathroom. We were able to make use of the house however we would avoid it in future bookings as sadly the issues we had made the holiday we looked forward to to be quite disappointing.

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused during your stay, and we would like to provide some clarification for future guests reading this review. The hot tub was fully operational before the groups arrival and had been checked by our team. Unfortunately it was damaged during the stay and despite efforts to have it repaired as an emergency, a part needed to be delivered. Since then, the necessary repairs have been completed, and the hot tub is now fully functional again. We regret that this issue could not be resolved straight away, but we can assure future guests that the hot tub is now in working order. Regarding the washing machine, it was not listed as an amenity for the property, and we apologize for any confusion this may have caused. We’ve also addressed the maintenance concerns you mentioned, ensuring that the property is in top condition. We appreciate your feedback. Property Owner
