"Absolutely lovely cottage."
On a working farm, but you would never know. We did not go prepared for swimming, but wish we had done so. The enclosed swimming pool was clean and relatively private. Mattress not to our liking, but still slept well. A cottage with character....including the squeaky floorboards up stairs. Extremely well kitted out. TWO fridges was a welcome bonus. Did not try the open log fire on this visit, however we did need the heating on for a short time in the evening(s). WIFI/internet great. Welcome tray with homemade wine & bickies, plus fresh milk in the kitchen fridge (big thank you). Whilst September did not bring the best of weather, it did not detract from a brilliant stay. A minor disappointment was the inability to benefit from the extensive views from the downstairs windows due to shrubs being overgrown plus the patio area was not prepared for use (although weather was terrible in any case). THANKS MRS REEVE (?) , you have a wonderful retreat and we recommend it to any one who wants a comfy secluded holiday.

"Thank you for a great stay at Lawn Farm Cottage."
The house was spacious and well equipped. We had everything we needed and the cottage was quiet, had fantastic views and was in a great location for visiting places such as Gloucester and going into Wales. My son loved the view of the train line in particular. The pool was also lovely and although not heated, the cover made it plenty warm enough at the time of year we stayed. The recently installed super fast internet was also useful and popular with my teenagers. With thanks to our friendly hosts.

"We had a lovely stay at Lawn Farm cottage."
It has everything you need for a home from home stay. Everything was clean and comfortable. We were very lucky with our weather and the swimming pool was an added bonus which my son thoroughly enjoyed. It could be a bit nippy in there if the sun hadn’t been out but still wonderful. Views were stunning. Would definitely go back for another stay. Thank you so much.

"Nothing to fault especially if you have children with you i."
E. the availability of a more or less (for our time there at least) sole access swimming pool. Plus a large grassed area, suitable for most outdoor games. Extensively equipped with crockery, utensils, etc.. Genial and helpful host. A short distance off the A40 but extremely quiet and public footpaths very nearby. A very pleasant stay indeed.
-
"Not the first time of visiting but always memorable for the welcoming from the owner and the thought which has gone into the equipping of the cottage to make the stay that little bit special."
The grandchildren loved the swimming pool and the amount of room to play both outside and in the cottage.Highly recommended for position.

"Good size rooms with great views from the bedrooms."
Matress in 'double' bedroom a bit too soft for my liking but that's just my preference... Very well appointed kitchen with large fridge/freezer, double fan oven, halogen hob, dishwasher and washing machine.. Internet connection slightly erratic but easily restored by resetting router (switching off for a minute or two and then powering back on..) Overall this is a great property in a great location and good value for the money considering all the facilities on offer. (includes outdoor swimming pool!)

"Cottage was exactly as described, comfortable facilities with everything you needed."
WiFi terrible (not owners problem ) but 4g installation in progress. Owner friendly and helpful if you need anything. Amazing views. Pool clean but freezing (again we were aware no heating). Brilliant outside space. It’s not a contemporary modern house but a country cottage with character and creaky floors in beautiful location

"We found the cottage comfortable, clean and as expected."
Lovely views and a quiet location
-
"It was great for me, my grandchildren and dog."
Not too precious but very comfortable. Plenty of space inside and out, swimming pool was bracing but we still used it. Lovely walks too. I hope to return.

"Lovely cottage and farm."
Owner was lovely and very informative and helpful. Beautiful peaceful setting. Complimenting wine , biscuits and milk on arrival was a lovely touch. Will definitely recommend

"The views are breath taking."
The owner is not intrusive and she's lovely. The pool is big and warm when the sun is out. Perfect for walks with the dog and large garden (bear in mind it is open). It is only a few miles from Gloucester so not too out of the way. Supermarkets and Gloucester Quay within 10 minutes. The rooms are spacious. A chest of drawers would be really helpful in the second double. We really did live out of the suitcase. The property description states there is a bath. There isn't. Not a major biggie but we only have a walk-in shower and was looking forward to it. The place does feel like it could do with a really good clean. Downstairs toilet seat is loose. The small fridge in the kitchen doesn't close properly as the seal has worn. I did advise the owner. But other people have mentioned it in the comments as well some time ago. The internet and phone signals are poor. Would I go back? Yes, but not in the high season, I don't feel the property reflects the price. However, if you don't care about the said issues, it is a beautiful area and the owner's friendliness really did make the holiday.

"We had a lovely stay at Lawn farm cottage, its a great base for exploring Gloucestershire."
(The good bus service gave us a break from driving too). The cottage was homely and clean with countryside views, yes it has creaky floors but it's an old building. The pool was fantastic.
-
"We enjoyed our partly unplanned three-week stay at Lawn Cottage."
The swimming pool would be great in the summer but sadly our visit was too early for the waters to get warm enough!
-
"From uneven creaky floors upstairs to a cooker that didn’t work, a fridge that wouldn’t shut properly and maggots in the food cupboard to name but a few issues."
Absolutely awful in my opinion and I would not recommend this to my friends.
-
"The cottage is lovely but a bit out of the way."
views are amazing and hosting excellent, was disappointed didn t use pool as on listing saying enjoy anytime assumed was heated which is main reason we chose it as i suffer with my joints and looked forward to going in daily to relieve pain as swimming helps me alot but apart from that was lovely holiday

"A lovely cottage."
Me and my parents wanted an escape somewhere my mum (who is going through chemo) could relax but not worry about being around lots of people. The beds were comfy. The only thing I would say was missing from the kitchen was a pair of scissors, unless we completely missed them! We got some fabulous photos sitting on the swing watching the sunset. Unfortunately it was too cold to enjoy the pool but a lovely big garden to play in.
-
"Ideal location for getting away from it all."
Pool added attraction cold but then nothing more than expected for time of year. Owner lives on site very friendly and not intrusive
-
"Excellent stay, nice and quiet in gorgeous countryside bordered by Churcham Church."
House was roomy, well equipped and the pool was a revelation, unheated I expected it to be freezing but it's all over covering actually made it trap the heat of the sun inside, lovely.

"We stayed for four nights, but regretting not to extend our stay due to other commitment we have."
The cottage, the swimming pool, the farm and the surrounding landscapes have exceeded our expectation and we loved everything about it. Our evening/morning walks and swims will be forever cherished. The landlord and her son lived next door to the cottage and they were beyond helpful in providing us what we need (if not found). The cottage also provided story books, table games and toys for the little ones, so time was always filled with activities and fun. Maybe I was lucky to have come in summer time, where the unheated pool always remain warm, even our little toddler enjoyed swimming there. The cottage is all about authentic traditional farm house, I loved it! but my daughter thought that a contemporary furniture would suit it more. The cottage is also close to the Gloucester Quay and its lively shopping mall, my favorite Forest of Dean where we went for cycling, laser combat and hikes.

"Our hospitality was above and beyond."
I lovely peaceful place to stay. What a relaxing week.
-
"Lovely cottage with stunning scenery around it,very rural and quiet and with a lovely pool that was enjoyed every day."
The house was comfortable and felt very homely and provided all of the facilities that we needed. I would love to go back.
-
"We had a great stay , the property was very well equiped, and on arrival the friendly owner had left complimentary wine ,biscuits, milk."
The cottage was comfy and homely, a typical farm cottage just as advertised ( maybe the bed mattresses could be upgraded in the future ) but that did not impact on our enjoyment. Very big garden for the grandkids to run about in, and of course the pool, which was a massive hit. Very peaceful location with stunning views, we all came home very relaxed.
-
"Lovely home from home."
Lovely owner, friendly and welcoming, excellent pool and good location. The house has everything you need and loads of space. Not big smiles across the board due to throws on sofa’s slip all the time making it difficult to sit for any length of time. Towels needed a wash in fabric softener to be able to use. Touch lamps in family room don’t work, they flash on and off when plugged in. Everything else spot on and none of these spoilt our enjoyment of the holiday
-
"The location is excellent, well placed for travel throughout the Cotswolds and is in a tranquil farm setting."
The owner was very nice and on hand if needed. The cottage is dated and would benefit from an upgrade. However, this is a personal choice if you prefer cleaner more modern conveniences. The views are lovely and watching the sun set on an evening was very pleasant. It wasn’t the cleanest cottage or most comfortable but it did not detract from the holiday. The beds are small doubles which again is personal choice as to whether this is an issue or not. All in all, a pleasant stay, lovely location, nice setting but with a bit of TLC and money spent it could be fantastic.

"It was very simple and straightforward to book."
Sykes gave me plenty of information and reminders. The cottage was really great. It's on a working farm and we really enjoyed finding out about how they farm and meeting a calf born whilst we were there. It's a beautiful area in Gloucestershire too. The swimming pool was great. It's covered but not heated so the water was cool but it was just like swimming in the sea or a lake and we enjoyed it. The host was on hand when we had some questions about how things worked. Our children immediately asked when we can return and we will try to next year.

"One of the best properties we have stayed at."
Quiet relaxing and friendly.
-
"Lovely cottage, very peaceful location situated in ideal spot for visiting numerous places."
Owner lives next door and very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. Dog friendly with plenty of garden space to run. Fantastic swimming pool on site though being early March we weren’t tempted to jump in. Thoroughly recommend it and will definitely go back when we can
-
"The owner provided us with unlimited kindling and wood for the fire which we thought was very generous."
-
"We had a lovely relaxing stay, just what we needed."
We especially enjoyed having the use of the swimming pool. Love a bit of cold water swimming!
-

Kids loved their very own pool.

"We had a restful week and were able to relax."
We visited some interesting places and landmarks.
-
"It would be useful to have information about local facilities in the area."
The cottage is part of a working farm a map indicating access routes for dog walking would be useful.
-
"Fantastic week away, so peaceful, nice pool, beautiful views, good location and base for day trips."
Owner very helpful. Only slight downside was not having a small enclosed area for dog to go out safely but we did know this from info. Would stay again as very relaxing accommodation and we loved it.
-
"Really lovely house."
Great pool host was lovely and the location was really nice. Its on a farm so you need to understand that but we really enjoyed it and would stay again. It was nice and homely
-
"We loved the sereness of the location, the rolling fields, chiming of the church clock and to see how relaxed our pets where also."
The facilities where great and made use of the pool. The cottage had everything you need for a stay. Our hosts where only next door and very helpful and kind. We would love to return to see more of the area in such a relaxing location.
-
"We had a fantastic stay."
The cottage, gardens and surrounding are beautiful. The views are amazing too. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable and the pool was lovely, we had lots of fun and the children particularly liked it. Would definitely stay again.
-
"Lovely cottage, everything you need and the pool was wonderful!"
Owner very friendly and helpful.
-
"The house makes the perfect base for exploring the local area."
The pool is brilliant and the scenery is idyllic. If you’re tall you’ll need to remember to duck on the way in… low ceilings and doorways throughout. The bedrooms are bright and airy and beds and bedding very comfortable. The bathroom upstairs does have a strange smell and feels like it could do with a deep clean, but it was useable. We enjoyed our stay.
Thank you for feedback, we have investigated the smell you have mentioned and it appears unfortunately due to the hot weather and low winds this smell was caused by the local farms stores being heated up. We are glad this didn't impact your holiday and you still enjoyed your time at our property. Property Owner

"As a family with 4 kids 11 and under we were looking forward to the peace and seclusion lawn farm cottage offers."
We had great hosts who couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. They really have thought of everything you'll need in the kitchen and the lounge is cosy with the open fire! We slept like babies in the comfy beds especially after the amount of swimming the kids wanted to do! The area is fantastic for dog walking and we will absolutely be returning in 2021... But for 2 weeks. Thankyou for giving us some fantastic memories. The Mather Gang!
