"We suffered, as some previous guests have suffered, with tenants moving about in the holiday cottage above disturbing us - in our case from 6am one morning."
This seems to be a major drawback that will be difficult to resolve. To us it seems that the addition of 1 or 2 wall cabinets in the kitchen area would greatly improve the convenience of the kitchen. Bed and seating was superb and the apartment was well presented and clearly the owners care. We loved the local village pub and walks in the woods behind the apartment.

"Was pleased to see various helpful things were provided, especially as there's no local shop for anyone to purchase, say, a toothbrush if they've forgotten to bring one."

"Was nice to have property with bath, which is one of the reasons for the booking."
However, there is not enough hot water to fill more than 5 inches of bath. Shower was excellent. Dishwasher was not working which would have been nice but just a minor inconvenience. Greeted at property and everything explained. There were fresh flowers, milk in the fridge, biscuits, goats cheese and beautiful fruit cake. Lovely touches. Overall enjoyed stay, good area for walking and exploring within in easy reach of Gloucester and Cheltenham. Thank you for the opportunity to stay at rowan

"A lovely studio with everything you need."
Really nice touches on arrival, homemade cake, goats cheese, milk, biscuits and yes, even a chocolate orange. Cranham is a good base for the southern Cotswolds and it has a lovely village pub although this is not open Monday - Wednesday. Not a big problem as there are plenty of nice pubs locally. Great for walking / cycling straight from the door. There is just one thing to be aware of, unfortunately you do hear some noise from the studio upstairs that can be a little intrusive particularly if you are the early to bed or late to rise types. That said, this is only guests walking on the floor above, running taps, shower etc etc. So, in summary, a nice studio with nice owner in a nice location

"A fantastic place to stay…."
.perfect cleanliness and extremely cosy. There was everything you could possibly need and more. A lovely welcome from the owners, plus gifts of local goats cheese which was delicious, home made fruit cake and even chocolate. Milk, tea bags, coffee, hot chocolate were all on hand. What more could you ask for! In an idyllic village with a lovely friendly local pub…..walks on hand from the door….and very handy to get to places within the Cotswolds. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend for a couple.

"The Rowan studio is an excellent choice for a week (or longer) holiday in the Cotswolds at any time of the year."
The apartment is situated in the quiet village of Cranham in the lovely Cotswold countryside and is an ideal base for a walking holiday. The Rowan studio is also just a few miles drive to Gloucester with its historic docklands and also the spa town of Cheltenham. The Rowan studio accommodation is very nice. The open plan apartment is modern, spotlessly clean and surprisingly spacious; it includes a well-equipped kitchen area (including dishwasher), a nice bathroom, huge comfortable bed, recliner settee, smart TV and nice dining table with chairs in the dining area. Parking is just outside your front door. The owners provided some nice treats including a lovely home-made fruit cake and locally produced goats cheese; they live in the house next door and are available to help if needed but otherwise will leave you in peace to enjoy your stay. Our visit was in March, we really enjoyed our week at the Rowan studio and were sad to leave for home at the end of our stay. We spent most of the week walking in the surrounding countryside using the local walks in the booklets provided by the owner. It has to be said that in March the weather can vary, but provided you are well wrapped up and with suitable footwear it is surprising how much blue sky and sunshine can be around to enjoy at that time of year.

"We were really impressed with the property."
Spotlessly clean, spacious and set in a picturesque small village. Liz (owner) was so welcoming and even greeted us with a freshly baked cake! Parking is excellent and located in the heart of the Cotswolds. 8 miles from Cheltenham. Village pub was lovely and great value home cooked meals. Will definitely return to Rowan studio again as it exceeded our expectations.

"A very warm welcome from the owner, the cottage was very clean a it had all the facilities needed for a lovely week away."
The local pub, The Black Horse, did great delivery/collection hot meals.

"A lovely studio and a great host."
The place was spotless and with additional coronavirus procedures in place, we felt very safe and well looked after. The bed was comfy and the temperature perfect too. The host baked us a cake, left us some milk, eggs from her chickens and chocolate in the fridge and some fresh flowers on the table. The kitchen was well-equipped and there was plenty of space. We could hear the people walking around in the flat above, it wasn't too much of a problem and certainly not enough to stop us coming back. We loved the area, right on the Cotswold Way and easy to get everywhere. The village is pretty and the pub is a great traditional village local, recently taken over by new management. The food, beer and hospitality there we would also highly recommend.

"Liz the owner could not have done anything more to ensure the accommodation was clean and safe for us to occupy."
She even fogged the property with anti-viral. We were very reassured by the measures she had gone too and her hospitality and welcome were very much appreciated.

"A beautifully appointed studio cottage that was a perfect base for accessing many beautiful walks in the Cotswolds."
There was everything we could possibly need in the cottage, including eggs from owner’s chicken, flowers and a homemade cake! The interior of the cottage was well-laid out, spacious and comfortable - we hope to return. NOTE no outdoor seating as shown in the photo - I imagine we could have asked for this? We just moved the kitchen chairs outside on the warmer days. Also early morning noise from the apartment above (their kitchen area is above our bed area?) from 6.30am each morning so we would book the top flat if we had a choice next time!
-
"Fantastic studio let that had everything you could wish for and more."
Liz , our host , was really welcoming and had provided lots of lovely welcome gifts ( home made cake, fresh eggs from her chickens ) to name a few. Would definately recommend this accommodation without hesitation. 5 * all round.

"Excellent place a good base to explore area and some great walks from doorstep will hopefully return again"
-
"A very relaxing and enjoyable stay in a clean, well-equipped and comfortable studio."
The owner was friendly and helpful, and she even provided a home-made cake and some eggs and milk for our arrival. We had lovely walks in the extensive ancient woodlands adjacent to the property and on the nearby common.
-
"The property was immaculate and the owners were very welcoming."
Great location in relation to the surrounding area - Great base camp for exploring the Cotswolds. Looking forward to going back in the future.
-
"Very nice comfortable cottage great for touring the surrounding area"
-
"The studio was lovely and comfortable and a great base for exploring the area."
However, it is worth noting that the local pub is closed on Mondays and doesn't do food except Sunday lunch and pizza Fridays. There is a pub doing food about a mile and a half away but not easily walkable as it is up a steep hill. We didn't find any food shops closer than the coop at abbotswood. Apart from the above, we really enjoyed our stay at Rowan Studios and would highly recommend it to others.

"All very good, no issues whatsoever."
Lovely area, lovely people.
-
"Everything was perfect, Mrs Cattle was very accommodating - the milk, fresh eggs and the home-made cake on arrival was much appreciated."
-
"A really delightful cottage, in a perfect location for us."
Everything about it exceeded expectation. Beautiful!
-
"Superb location for exploring western Gloucestershire."
Fantastic studio flat with lots of extra amenities. Welcoming hosts. Positioned perfectly for access to many country walks.
-
"Lovely place - they definitely went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and we will be going back."
Thank you for a lovely stay!
-
"Almost perfection - would have been nice instead of the coat hooks and drawers to change for a proper wardrobe but this was not a deal breaker."
Lovely welcome from the owner with cake and fresh eggs - a nice personal touch. Would definitely recommend this accommodation to others. Thank you for the lovely accommodation.
