Nice fenced off garden the dog could run-around . Two concerns The path from the gate to the door ruff and uneven needs relaying. THE WIFI was very intermittent keeps going off and only works now and then I think they should warn people about that

Super clean and comfortable with a lovely garden. It had everything we needed for our short stay. The only 'negative' was that my 6'5" husband did struggle a bit to fit in the shower!!

  • "Manor Farm cottage is excellent."

An extremely comfortable cottage, really well and thoughtfully equipped to make it very easy to enjoy staying there, spacious rooms and comfy beds. As two friends staying, one of us often draws the short straw on a room with a single bed so it was really nice that the single beds are extra wide! The staircase is steep but not the worst, garden is large and secure, my dog loved it, in a lovely setting with walks on the doorstep. Quiet location with plenty of easy parking. Really wished we had booked a longer stay and would definitely book to stay here again.

Nice owners and good welcome pack. One downside was the path leading from the gate to the doors. It was very broken, cracked and uneven. Someone with less mobility than us would struggle to use it. I managed to trip on it as we were leaving.

  • "On arrival, there was a wholemeal loaf of bread, a packet of honeyed oatmeal cookies on the table, tea, coffee and milk, plus 2 packets of treats for the dog."

Very welcome and appreciated. The cottage was clean and the garden area was large enough to throw a ball around for the dog. It was completely fenced in so ideal; it was also freshly mown. The kitchen was small but had everything needed for a stay away from home. The dining area was spacious with tiled floor, so ideal for the dog's bed. Living room carpeted and with comfy chairs and sofa and a decent T.V. Bedrooms large, with decent sized beds. The bathroom was an average size. Really, the only downside was the shower cubicle, which was very cramped but the water pressure and heat were excellent. The cottage owners were on hand and friendly, if needed, but did not intrude in any way. We had a lovely week away, in a comfortable cottage, in a peaceful location that was truly dog-friendly. Thank you to Alison and Toby. We will be going there again!

  • "An excellent cottage, albeit it was a difficult and bitter sweet stay for us."

Very comfortable and would like to come back in warmer weather as it was quite a cold time to visit. Great garden for the dogs - big one enjoyed it off lead but my small dog needed a lead on as she finds very little gaps! Beautiful views and walks. Directions given to the property could be better because the final left turn was not noticeable from the road as it was obscured by bushes and trees. It took us ages in the dark and ice to find the place and several phone calls as the internet went down as we were trying to call for directions. Once we got through the owner was excellent and very kindly guided us in perfectly. Even a stop at the Bluebell Pub to ask directions was not successful and not all cars have the facility to key in co-ordinates. Directions from the M5 coming south would be far better to say come off at Jct 7 and either head along the B4084 and turning right onto A4104, turning left at The Poacher and bringing you in from the other side or coming along the A38 and then turning left along the A4104 and right just before The Poacher and bringing you in again from the other side. If you are coming up from the south then directions to continue up to the roundabout and turn right onto the A4104 and turning right at The Poacher would be easier than turning by The Bluebell.

  • "Lovely little cottage just as described, has everything that you need, beds are lovely."

Some nice little touches like some milk, bread, tomatoes, biscuits and dog treats left for us. My only small gripes are that the x2 single sofas in the living room need replacing as they are far too soft / no support at all so unfit for purpose, and the shower unit is very small which some people might find almost impossible to use. The hosts were very nice and not 9n top of you every day which was very nice. I am a bit disappointed with Sykes though as 2 weeks before arriving I tried to ask them if I could cancel and that they try and resell my booking dates, and that if they couldn't resell it then I'll have to swallow it, but if they do resell it charge me a cancellation fee and everyone is happy....but unfortunately they did not even attempt that so I was left with paying in full for the cottage for 1 week and only stayed in it for 3 days.

  • "We booked via Quidco yet the discount has been declined and we are having to challenge this."

Sykes rep on phone has never heard of Quidco so that wasn’t very helpful. Also suggested that there was a new piece of info added to briefs about EV charging. He did not take me seriously at all. The cottage was clean but cold. Beds were very comfortable. The welcome pack was very welcoming. The main problem we had was that we had recently swapped cars for an EV and there was nowhere to plug in at the cottage. The entire week was spent looking for and sitting at charging points. I appreciate that this is an odd piece of feedback but we came equipped with lead and extension but we were still too far away from a socket. Charging over night is really the only sensible option; as a new EV owner I only realised this when we couldn’t! This is in no way a criticism of the cottage and even if I had known before it would have made no difference as I had booked and paid for it before swapping the car but I think suggesting an additional category on the info from Sykes was a useful and positive reaction to the worst holiday we have ever had! To have the suggestion met with a blank response was not reassuring.

The view from this place was just utterly amazing. For those that know me - I don't generally like being in the kitchen cooking... but I loved staring out the window and gawking at the ever changing scenery at this place! The rooms were lovely and spacious and the beds great for a fab nights sleep. Mattress right up our alley. The lounge was also nice. It did not have an open fire, but did come with an electric one giving the illusion of burning logs. WiFi was excellent and on the very few occasions where we lost signal, we mostly had 4G or 5G at 3+ bars on our mobiles.... a game changer from previous places we have stayed at. On arrival we were greeted with a home made poppyseed bread, some coconut biscuits and a pint of milk for the humans. In a dog bowl there was a few packets of treats for the furball. Lots of pamphlets detailing activities and interests in the surrounds and neighbouring counties. Also loved that they had a few basics at hand - oil, salt and pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, some dishwasher tablets and some washing machine pods. Whether you looking for a place to spend a few days exploring Worcestershire and Gloucestershire or the Malvern Hills, or if you there for work and want a home away from home.... we highly recommend this place!
