"Loved the location and property, although the decor a little tired could do with a refresh."
We all would like to stay again.
-
"Lovely property, great hosts."
We adopted their 2 cats for the week.
-
"The directions for getting to the cottage were a little challenging to say the least, and the people who arrived in the cottage across the yard had even more trouble than us,I understand!"
However,it was well worth the trouble,We loved the cottage, the location, and the area. The owners John and Louisa, were very friendly and very welcoming. We would very much like to pay them another visit.

"Have stayed in lodge farm barn previously and still as lovely."
Comfortable and clean environment in a lovely setting with forest and walks nearby.
-
"A very relaxing week was had in a beautiful area with a great choice of walks."
Our stay was made more enjoyable with the option of home made quality food. The hosts Louisa and John were available for advice if required.

"Really lovely barn!"
Having a fire in the lounge was great for the chilly evenings. Had everything you could need. The Wi-Fi was a bit temperamental but maybe that’s a good thing! Louise and John were very friendly and welcoming. We also loved the cats! So sweet.
-
"We had a wonderful stay here."
The barn is beautifully decorated with everything you could need. The surrounding area is simply stunning. Would definitely recommend and return here! :)
-
"Very nice and peaceful location."
Water supply a little erratic, but manageable. WiFi also erratic, just need to have patience. No mobile telephone signal in the barn, if that's important to you. It's a perfect base to explore Herefordshire and surrounding areas. Louisa and John are excellent hosts. If you need them they're there, otherwise you can go your own way.
-
"Very nice barn conversion in a lovely secluded setting."
The twin bedroom and en suite are quite small, perhaps better suited to a children's room. The bed linen was lovely, as were the thick fluffy towels. The water pressure was variable, presumably the drawbacks of country life.
-
"Lodge farm barn was an amazing find."
Lovely setting in the quiet countryside but near to places of interest to visit. Every thing was provided for stay and exceptionally clean.
-
"The cottage was set in a very quiet valley."
Well equipped and clean. We are already looking forward to our next visit.
-
"Really lovely stay full of tranquility and relaxation."
-
"Wonderful cottage and very well fitted out."
Bread board was provided but another chopping board would be good.Minor detail, it was all wonderful.
-
"Lovely location,in easy reach of many attractions."
Peaceful and secluded with welcoming hosts, there if you need them. Our second visit ,will not be our last .
-
"It was a little difficult to find the track which led up to the Barn."
We later found the stone which had the name engraved on it by the entrance. Everything else was good. A superb week.
-
"We have stayed at Lodge Farm Barn three times now over the past year and always have an enjoyable & comfortable stay in a great location."
We will no doubt be staying here again in the near future too.
-
"Everything about the property was fine but on the last night a Lodge Farm Barn van was parked in the Farm yard and connected to the mains to keep it's refrigeration unit running."
As a result the refrigeration unit would start running loudly for about 10 minutes about every 30 minutes ALL NIGHT! I didn't get any sleep that night and left the property feeling pretty angry. I appreciate this is a working farm but people go to this type of location for peace and quiet and definitely don't want sleepless nights due to this sort of noise.

"Idyllic situation, characterful barn conversion, lovely area, better weather than Cumbria too!"
-
"What a beautiful holiday home."
We couldn’t have wished for anywhere lovelier! A truly beautiful part of the country, we visited lots of places in the area and loved coming back to a cosy home to enjoy as a family. Thank you very much, best wishes.
-
"An excellent property and centrally located."
-
"The hosts were friendly and very helpful."
The barn was excellent in comfort. Handy for visiting many places in the surrounding area. Couldn't be better.
-
"Very Peaceful and rural location."
Nice owners who left us ‘to it’ following initial welcome. Thoroughly enjoyed our break, thank you.
-
"Great little barn, very rural and quiet."
Advertised with WiFi but doesn’t work. Unfortunately when you have to keep an eye on work it’s essential, as there was no phone signal. And the standard blunt set of kitchen knives!! Apart from that a great little place.
-
"Such a peaceful, tranquil setting."
A lot of wildlife including a herd of fallow deer at the top of the garden. Enjoyed exploring the Forest of Dean.
-
"A well appointed and friendly cottage that does everything you want!"
We loved our stay here and at no point wished we had a ....! Proper bonus is the Lodge Farm Kitchen menu which meant I took time off cooking. In hindsight I should have used more as they are brilliant!
-
"A lovely holiday home that had beautiful and peaceful surroundings but just a couple of minutes drive from town."
Owners were friendly and on-hand when we wanted some advice.
-
"The Lodge Farm Barn is in the most beautiful, peaceful location - was really lovely to spend time in the garden, which has a spacious patio and a living willow arbour - our 6 year old son also loved petting the owners' friendly dogs through the gate!"
. We found the barn very well located for Ross on Wye, Symonds Yat, Hereford, Chepstow, Tintern Abbey, Brecon Mountain Railway etc. The barn itself is spacious with two good size bedrooms and ensuite shower rooms. There are dining tables in the living room and also the kitchen, which is convenient, and there is a door from the kitchen onto the patio which is also helpful. The owners were helpful and friendly - would recommend.
-
"The cottage exceeded our expectations because it was in such a peaceful location."
We sat outside and listened to bees in the lavender, red kites and wind in the forest trees. Beautiful..
-
"We had a fabulous week here, the weather was brilliant so we enjoyed the outside space, eating reading relaxing ect."
We visited lots of places Cheltnam, Monmouth, Symonds Yat east, Hay, Ross plus many more. It didn't bother me to much but if you need your mobile then no service and the Internet very slow, I could not connect with my iPad only my phone, if you want a relaxing time and no traffic noise in loverly peaceful surroundings then I can thoroughly recommend the Barn.

"This is a lovely, well-equipped cottage."
It is tastefully decorated and has everything we needed. The location is absolutely lovely - with lots of wildlife to see and hear right outside the cottage. The beds are very comfortable. The log burner was brilliant for the cool early spring evenings. It is one of the nicest places we have stayed in. A big thank you to John and Louisa.
