The host (Connie) was extremely helpful and welcoming. She could not do enough for us and helped make our stay so much more enjoyable. Even to the point of making sure that we had enough information about local events that we could go to. "The owner was very welcoming and helpful , it gave an air of assurance in these stressful "getting back to normal" times."
The cottage is cosy and comfortable in a beautiful location, with lovely views over a valley. We spent happy times over a coffee watching the amazing bird life (and saw birds of prey high up over the hills). The weather wasn't good to us during our stay but the accommodation was a welcoming place to come back to. We agree with a previous reviewer's comments , that if you are used to a firmer mattress , you notice a difference, but that is a minor point. Overall a lovely , welcoming place to retreat to for a break and an excellent base for visiting and exploring the surrounding area.

Calcott annexe is in a brilliant location accessing beautiful quaint places to visit with great pub food just 8 mins and up to half an hour drive away. Our favorite had to be symonds yat 8min drive or 35min walk. Calcott annexe itself was really homely, very clean and great views and for 2 people to escape perfect. Connie is lovely and whilst being next door we had total privacy, but was always on hand and quick to respond to questions. We had everything we needed for our break.
