"The cottage was listed correctly, however there were areas that perhaps needed a deep clean, especially around the baseboards in the bathroom and kitchen."
The sitting room was comfortable, the fireplace was warming and inviting. I would suggest putting better reading lamps beside the chairs in the sitting room. Also, the outlet for the lamp near the dining table was not working.

"We absolutely loved staying at the cottage, very good location."
My little 1 year old granddaughter loved exploring the cottage. Will definitely be back. Thank you. Mary & Paul Jeffery

"The flat is a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds."
Everywhere we wanted to visit was within a 10-15 minute drive. The kitchen has everything you need and the bedrooms are comfortable. Great to have space to park the car off-road.
-
"Lovely property, great location for visiting the Cotswolds."
Very comfortable and well equipped, a true home away from home.
-
"Thank you, we had a wonderful visit."
The cottage was lovely to stay in - it was incredibly clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was very well equipped too. We had a lovely weekend and visited Stow-on-the-wold, Bourton-on-the-water and Batsford arboretum.

"The cottage is comfortable and had everything needed for our short break in the Cotswolds."
It is ideally located, both for walking into Stow and exploring the many attractions in the area.
-
"A great location with all the things we needed for our stay."
We enjoyed it very much. Easy to find our way to and from the flat when we ventured out, and having room to be together in the lounge or around the table was wonderful. Thank you.

"We had a very nice stay in Second Cottage, it is clean, comfortable, has good off road parking and a very well equipped kitchen."
There are excellent walks which can be done from the door or there are many NT properties and lovely villages just a short drive away. The town square is very attractive with nice shops, tea rooms and pubs to explore. I would recommend to anyone, we had no issues at all and would definitely come back.

"Comfortable, well equipped apartment."
Good parking. Great location a few minute's walk to town centre. A good base to explore the cotswolds
-
"Ideal situation for exploring the northern Cotswolds and walking into Stow."
Clean, comfortable accommodation and excellent parking.

"Property was lovely, clean and comfortable however the holiday was ruined due to all of the local ameneties being closed for the entire duration of our stay."
This meant no pubs or restaurants open within walking distance which to us was one of the key features of the property location. This was due to the Stow horse fair which happens twice a year and should have been known to the landlord and made clear on the property listing. Sykes has refused any partial refund which we requested which has put us off from booking with them again.

"We were very pleased with the property."
It was warm and comfortable and the facilities were good. The location was excellent, just a short walk into the town centre! Would definitely stay there again!

"The photos do not do this property justice."
It is more spacious and better looking in reality. All furniture and furnishings are of the highest standard and there is no detail that hasn't been thought of to ensure guest's comfort and convenience. The kitchen is so well supplied with every piece of equipment needed for even an extended stay. The central heating warmed the property within minutes of being switched on and there is even a beautiful coal effect gas fire in the lounge in case you just need a little heat rather than heating the whole property. It is only a few minutes walk to beautiful Stow-on- the -Wold Square which is full of independent shops, pubs and cafes, and a short drive to stunning Bourton-on-the Water which is well worth a visit. There was parking for 1 large or 2 small cars which was ideal. I would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would love to return if we are in the area in future.

"A really clean and comfortable property within easy walking distance of Stow-on-the-Wold town centre, which is lovely, and in a central location for reaching lots of the area's attractions by car."
Would certainly stay there again.

About the location
STOW-ON-THE-WOLD
Bourton-on-the-Water 4 miles; Stratford upon Avon 15 miles.
The highest town in the Cotswolds, Stow-on-the-Wold, originally an Iron Age Fort, epitomises olde worlde England. This ancient market town has played host to many fairs since the 12th century and today holds a biannual Gypsy Horse Fair, craft fairs and monthly Farmers' market. The vast market square boasts an ancient cross at one end and the village stocks at the other, surrounded by an elegant array of Cotswold stone townhouses, antique shops, tea rooms, traditional pubs, award-winning restaurants and its very own cricket museum. Many walks and cycle rides through the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds can be enjoyed from the centre of Stow, with the Macmillan Way, Heart of England Way, Gloucestershire and Monarch's Way all running close to the town. Bourton-on-the-Water, known as the 'Venice of the Cotswolds' as the River Windrush runs through the centre, lies in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is one of the most popular Cotswold villages. The Saxon market town of Moreton-in-Marsh and the quintessential English village of Broadway are all within easy reach and make a great day out. Cheltenham (20 miles away) is, architecturally, the most complete regency town in England. A spa town with an incredible range of shops, cinemas, theatres, restaurants and pubs, it is famous for its horse-racing festival in March, culminating in the Gold Cup steeplechase. At other times of year, it is host to literature, jazz, classical music, science and food and drink festivals. Oxford, the oldest university city in England and sometimes called 'The City of Dreaming Spires’ has an abundance of prestigious attractions, including the 38 colleges of the university (half of which date back before 1600), the oldest university teaching room, the Bodleian Library, Ashmolean and Pitt Rivers Museums, and Botanic Gardens. Stratford-upon-Avon, Bath, Worcester and the waterfront city of Gloucester are also within easy reach, making Stow-on-the-Wold an ideal base.
