  • "A nice stay in a well maintained cottage."

Very comfortable and clean. Only issue was that the next door neighbour’s security floodlight came on whenever you moved in the hot tub, which did make us feel very uncomfortable. Don’t know why it’s adjusted to come on from movement on the other side of the neighbour’s fence but it didn’t feel right. Score would have been higher otherwise.

Thanks for the feedback, the light is on an alleyway next door so perhaps someone walked past? It is someone else's property but we will mention it to them. Thanks. Property Owner

  • "An excellent find!"

Lovely cottage, very well appointed and a really comfortable bed. I did have reservations about the proximity of the main road but they were unfounded, traffic noise was not an issue. The pub opposite was a popular spot and we ate there during our stay. Very handy for the High Street and the attractions that can be found along its length. Loved the hot tub and the privacy on the terraced garden which is a delightful space to sit, relax, and watch satellites and shooting stars passing overhead while drinking a glass of wine.

Glad you had a lovely stay, yes we are set down below the adjacent road so noise doesn't bother us. Glad you got to see the wonderful stars.... It truly is a little gem! ❤️Thanks for your review. Property Owner

  • "Avonmede provided a warm and comfortable stay."

The cottage is spotlessly clean with everything we needed. We had a welcome pack on arrival of essentials so we had breakfast the next morning. Very welcome thank you. Avonmeade is full of charm and character of a cottage. It is well situated so access to shops, restaurants, pubs a short walk away. Thank you x

Thank you for your lovely feedback, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the welcome treats we left, we hope to see you again one day thanks. Property Owner

  • "Lovely cottage and your description was accurate."

Need to advise about ceiling height and small internal steps but that is nature of listed cottage. The stairs were very steep so left luggage downstairs, so not a problem. My little dog enjoyed some of your treats too so thank you. Bed linen super, I am going to research the brand. Thank you

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay here, yes the bedding is wonderful isn't it! ❤️ The stairs are steep and on multiple levels, so we do suggest not suitable if guests have limited mobility. The nature of a 200year old cottage, I'm afraid. So glad your dog enjoyed the welcome treats! Thanks. Property Owner

  • "Just back from a 2 night break at Avonmede."

We had a lovely time - the cottage was very cute and cozy, well equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. The owners had left a welcome basket with butter, jam, marmalade, biscuits, bread and even a bottle of wine for us and provided a dog bed, biscuits and blanket for our pooch, which were all thoughtful touches. We thought it was funny that the dog bed was really for a much smaller dog than our German Shepherd but she tried to get into it nonetheless! The property is well positioned to easily walk around the town and down along side the river and is within easy reach of several pubs - one right opposite, which was very handy and dog friendly too. The hot tub is an added bonus, and it was lovely to relax in it after our long day out walking. I will be recommending to my friends and family with dogs - most excellent.

Thank you for the lovely feedback, we are glad you will recommend us to your friends and family, sorry your dog didn't fit the bed! But we went for a medium so it was an average size, most people do bring their own anyway. Perhaps he could fit a little bit of him in! There are so many dog friendly pubs and shops as well as cafes in Tewkesbury it really is an excellent place to bring them... Glad you enjoyed the treats we left for you too, thanks again! • "Beautiful cottage in an excellent location."

Lots of dog walks close by and just at the end of the high street. We loved everything about the cottage recently done to a very high standard. We parked close by in Oldbury Road car park for just £4 per day which you can do on Ringo app. Much appreciated welcome basket and lovely thought of dog bed, towel, treats. Would love to stay again.

We are really pleased you had a lovely stay at our cottage, and enjoyed the wonderful location. Thank you so much for the lovely feedback. Property Owner
