"Beautiful home and great sun spot in garden, (couldn't find a sun brolly though)."
Excellent spot to see Winchcombe and beyond, local people very welcoming
Thank you for your helpful review It was a very timely reminder about the sun parasol which I rectified immediately so guests have since been able to enjoy the glorious sunshine here in the shade Property Owner

"Amazing host, responsive and great communication, cottage was clean."
Very noisy in the evenings constant cars with loud music. Winchcombe is a lovely village. Thank you

"Went to Winchcombe while working in Cheltenham."
Primrose cottage was ideal - centrally located - plenty of great walks for wife and Labrador who came up for the week too. Youngest son and partner joined us at the end of the week. Great food from The Lion and White Hart - also bakery and deli worth a visit for a coffee. Cottage had everything you could ask for - 3 bedrooms, good kitchen and wifi / telly. All in all fantastic - great price and service.
Thank you for your positive feedback and I am so pleased you enjoyed your stay and the great dog walks locally I hope that we can welcome you back to Winchcombe soon Jennifer Property Owner

"The property was wonderful- great location, and well kitted out."
Some reviews mentioned Velux without blinds but this had been fixed and the bedrooms were great. Agree that the lounge is small and a better sofa would fix the comfort brilliantly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to return. Thanks!
I am so pleased that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for taking the trouble to provide feedback The sitting room furniture has all been replaced and hopefully is much more comfortable now but still awaiting new photography which will show you the changes it would be lovely to welcome you back to Primrose Cottage! "Great house smack in the middle of Winchcombe."
Beautifully done however the couch wasn,t very comfortable also not sure you could get 6 in the lounge. Rest of the place was wonderful.
The new sofas and armchair should provide better comfort and I do hope we can tempt you back to Winchcombe! thank you for your kind comments Jennifer Property Owner

"Thank you It was very well equipped and comfortable."
There are a some of safety issues that I think need attention: There needs to be bannister on the left hand side of the main stairs to first and second floors and at least one bannister to the 5/6 stairs to the bedroom on the first floor. Very dodgy without anything to hold onto, especially at night when having to use the toilet. There was no anti slip mat in the shower and no bath mat for the floor.
my apologies for not responding before but I am pleased to say this has all been rectified so thank you for the feedback Jennifer Property Owner

"We had a lovely short break at Primrose Cottage - it was well equipped, clean and comfortable and the location is great for exploring what the beautiful surrounding area has to offer."
Beds are super comfy and the shower is great! A couple of small drawbacks - the living room is small and the seating (which only really seats four comfortably) could be more comfortable. The two attic rooms didn’t have blinds in the dormer windows - a bit of a problem in the summer unless you’re happy waking up very early!
Thank you for the feedback The living room now has new furniture and I hope much more comfortable on the body! Blinds were also installed last year so no more early mornings on your break! please come back and see us! Jennifer Property Owner

"The property is well situated for the lovely walks in Winchcombe."
However, it's not the most comfortable cottage we've stayed in. First, the positive things. The beds are comfortable and there is good water pressure. The kitchen is well-lit and mostly had the things we needed. There were several things that made it a less than ideal cottage though. Firstly, the top two bedrooms have large velux windows directly over the beds measuring perhaps 3 feet by 4 feet. Unfortunately, there aren't any blinds over these, so the rooms are flooded with bright sunlight the moment the sun rises. So, don't expect to get any sleep the moment it's dawn, which was an issue for us in the spring - and I can imagine it will only get brighter in the summer. Secondly, the two-seater sofa felt rather thin, narrow and inexpensive - certainly not amongst the more comfortable ones that we have had. We often decided to lie on the comfortable beds when reading as the thin sofa was actually a bit uncomfortable to sit on for long. In the lounge, there is also only a two-seater and two armchairs plus two floor cushion / foot stool type things. So, if you are a party of six, some of you will have to sit on floor cushion / foot stools. The house is also on a street that counts as fairly busy for a small town. We go away to a lot of cottages, so we know what life is like in small towns and villages, but in this property we were quite aware of traffic noise early in the morning (maybe 6am) when delivery vehicles were dropping off at the supermarket across the road.

"We had a wonderful stay in Primrose Cottage."
The cottage is beautifully presented, so clean and thoughtfully put together. We felt instantly at home. It was lovely to be able to walk from the doorstep into the countryside, to a fabulous cafe, a cracking pub, a bakery/butcher/shop or even a castle. What a great place you have - a perfect spot for people to visit. We wished we could have stayed longer but hope to return soon. Take note of the mention of the steep stairs in the house. It was something I was glad we were aware of. If you are visiting with a young family (and it would be a lovely stay) a stairgate would give you piece of mind. Our children loved having their own floor at the top of the house ❤️ Thanks again Primrose Cottage! We loved staying!
