  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at the Crews Hill house."

We wanted to stay in a farmhouse setting where we all felt like we could spread out and have our own space when needed. This was the perfect setting!

  • "We had a lovely break in this beautiful holiday home."

It was beautifully clean and the soft furnishings in the bedrooms were so well thought through and cheerful. The peace, quiet and views were unrivalled. The big, bright kitchen with island was a particular treat! We would not hesitate to stay here again and would recommend both the property and Sykes to our friends & family. Very many thanks to David.

  • "We had a wonderful stay at Crews Hill House."

It really is out in the middle of the beautiful countryside. The size and layout of the cottage was great for our family but the property was quite dirty and could just do with some TLC. Floors tiles dirty in the kitchen, dust on many shelves, fridge not clean, windows dirty and whilst we expect to find cobwebs in an old cottage (we don't mind sharing with the spiders) there were too many to believe that this property had been cleaned properly. I think Crews Hill House just needs a really deep clean and a bit of love to bring it back to the holiday cottage that it could be. There were also items missing in the kitchen such as a proper cheese grater and other things broken such as the salad servers. When Crews Hill House boasts "be welcomed into the well-equipped kitchen/diner where you can look forward to impressing your guest with culinary delights" - you would be believing that you would have first class equipment to live up to this statement. Again just more care is needed in the property to make it what it truly could be.

Thank you for your feedback I will look into the issues immediately David All sorted see next review. Property Owner

The views are spectacular and there are lovely woodland walks on the doorstep. It is rural but very well placed for Malvern and other surrounding towns and attractions. The house was immaculate, with impressive period features throughout. It was very comfortable for our family of 5 with a separate lounge, TV room and play room. We would definitely stay here again.

  • "The cottage is very pleasant to spend time in, all beds comfortable and good showers :) - it's well equiped kitchen-wise (blender and electric whisk, plus all the rest of usual well serviced kitchen) so pleasure to cook in."

The house feels spacious with plenty of rooms for a larger party to retreat into if needed; it's tastefully furnished with good, quality decor (and linen) throughout. The view from the front garden was lovely, and great to unwind there with a cup of tea after days out. The sheep in the fields were entertaining, very personable (and not noisy, in case that's a concern) - if you've got kids they're an absolute bonus, quite conversational if you bleat at them :) The Fox and Hounds in Lulsley served very nice food (but not open every evening) and there was a good Thai restaurant hidden in a nearby village - you'll have to google maps it as can't remember name! The owner was great, very responsive re queries - without going into details I'd rate the customer service for this house as absolutely 5 star!

  • "A beautiful home in a very quiet and tranquil location."

Everything you could want from a place including all of the facilities provided. You could not fail to relax and unwind in such a stunning home. David was a wonderful host and excellent communicator. Would certainly recommend to anyone who wants peace and quiet. There is a local pub (fox and hounds) which is lovely and only a mile to drive to. Only thing I would say is that the location is very remote so if you do want trips out you will have to drive a number of miles. This was fine for us as we are used to that but there isn't anything really on the doorstep other than some lovely walking countryside. Again, fine for us. Holloways is a lovely cafe and posh garden / home centre which is about a 10 minute drive. Worcester, Pershore and Malvern are probably the closest bigger places to drive to which will take you 25+ minutes. Lots of national trusts around and about the area too. All in all an excellent find and we would highly recommend. Thanks David for your hospitality,

  • "We loved our stay at Crews Hill House."

It was a beautiful old house and so cosy. The central heating was super and having a log burner meant we could snuggle cosily on the dark November nights. The showers were hot and powerful and the house was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was very well equipped-and I am fussy. It was a lovely peaceful location, the only sounds being the odd pheasant and wood Pidgeon. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed the misty November mornings and lovely sunrise. Being November the trees were filled with mistletoe. We enjoyed shopping locally at the Alfrick Community Shop and getting milk from Lower House Farm where you fill your own milk bottles from the automatic dispenser. Crews Hill House was a great location to explore the area it seems to be 20 minutes from most places. I would definitely stay here again.

  • "We booked Crews Hill House for an Easter break at quite short notice and it was perfect."

Exceptionally clean and well equipped. So many choices of spaces for relaxing, eating, playing games. The bedrooms are spacious and the views are wonderful. There is plenty of outdoor grassed space but lacks patio/paved areas for a larger group, but that didnt bother us. I would certainly recommend and would stay again.

  • "Four friends stayed together to celebrate our 'big' birthdays."

We had a fantastic time. The house was fresh and spotless (we were actually a bit scared of the cream carpets!). It was lovely to sit in front of log burner and chat the evening hours away then retire to our comfy beds. There was plenty of space to escape to if we had wanted to! The location was gorgeous and gloriously peaceful, with plenty of walks in easy reach. The welcome biscuits, tea and coffee and milk were appreciated (it is quite a way to the nearest shop). We really had no complaints and would definitely recommend. The only reason l have not given full marks for accuracy is because one of the bedrooms wasn't made up and only had a single bed in it with a travel cot, which was not expected when booking for 4 adults. It was easily rectified by swapping the bedding with one of the twin beds in another room. It did look as though the single room could be made into a twin if needed. We all said that we would love to return.

We would have appreciated a note when booking to say that there are no shower gels etc so we could have bought our own but then its not a hotel after all. We really enjoyed the location, it's a super cottage that exceeds any expectations the pictures may have shown.
