HUNTLEY

Gloucester 8.5 miles; Ross-on-Wye 9.3 miles.

Huntley is a small village situated West of Gloucester and North of the Forest of Dean. Within the village you will find a 19th century grade 1 listed church, a village hall, cricket club, a pub, butchers, Morrisons Daily and Budgens . Here, you will also find Huntley Quarry, which houses a volcaniclastic suite of rocks, which will become the first geology reserve in the county. Within 8.5 miles is the city of Gloucester, where you will find a larger selection of amenities and attractions including The Docks, the St Oswald's Priory, and the 11th century Cathedral with the tomb of King Edward II. Alternatively, visit the Wye Valley and the Forest Dean, where you will find opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing, and following sculpture trails. Huntley is an excellent base for exploring this part of the country.
