  • "We have just spent our 2nd holiday staying at the Log Cabin."

It is located on an acre of land with a mini golf course on it, surrounded by wildlife. It is so peaceful, no neighbours to annoy you. The cabin is absolutely spotless. Wifi is amazing. The owners of this beautiful cabin are lovely. I was left a welcome tray and flower on both stays. You are greeted on you on your arrival to settle you in. Lots of things to do. Lovely pubs nearby, excellent food. I cannot highly recommend you staying at The Log Cabin enough. Looking forward to booking again next year.

  • "Our stay in the Log Cabin as a family of five was perfect - the place itself is super comfortable, well equipped, snug and spotless."

We were warmly welcomed by the owner who left a lovely welcome pack too. The setting was wonderful, so much space, privacy and the putting lawn appreciated by our children especially. Around and about there was plenty to see and do too - the Wyre Forest and Ludlow close by.

  • "We had a wonderful time at The Log Cabin."

The facilities were top class! It was clean, comfortable and peaceful and the surrounding countryside was beautiful, even more so, due to the Autumnal colours. We were met on arrival by David, one of the owners, who showed us around and was very polite, helpful and informative. There was also a very generous welcome pack from Jack, with his compliments, and a lovely vase of Autumn coloured flowers on the dining room table. Overall, we were very impressed by the care and attention to detail. Thank you so, so much. If only all the Sykes property owners could be like David and Jack! We shall definitely be glad to return to The Log Cabin in the future and would highly recommend this lovely, peaceful 'haven' to anyone.

We were met by David the owners Dad who was very helpful and gave us tips on the area. Everything you need was in the cabin. Lots of wonderful wildlife. We saw a Mother Muntjac with her baby on two evenings. The putting green was lots of fun. With reference to the last review. There is a full length mirror behind the door in the walk in wardrobe. We would highly recommend the cabin and hope to revisit again.

David rang us a couple of times during our journey, gave us directions for the last bit and gave us a very warm greeting when we arrived. The cabin is spacious, immaculately presented, very clean and equally comfortable. Everything one needs is there and a nice "welcome pack" is provided along with a homely touch of flowers on the dining table. The grounds are lovely and even has its own mini 9 hole pitch and putt golf course ! The beds are comfortable and we slept well as it is very peaceful. "Visitors" include squirrels, pheasants, bluetits, robins and, if you are lucky - a Muntjac Deer. We only saw him on our very last day. We have only ever returned to a holiday property once before but we were so impressed by The Log Cabin that after arriving on the Saturday we booked up for April 2024 the next day !! Thank you David and Jack for a wonderful week and we look forward to our next stay.

Owners are so welcoming & kind. Also lots of good places to visit , National Trust properties etc. If you want to eat out there are a great variety of cafes, restaurants. Ithink it would be nice to have some softer lighting / side lights in the sitting room. The central lights are a bit bright. Also we cooked in a lot it would be useful to have a bigger freezer section in a fridge. These last two things would be an enhancement to a great holiday home.

! This might sound daft but everything just WORKED. It meant you weren’t scrabbling around for a manual or some mystery button that turns the hot water on - it was just all ready for you to use. This meant we settled in really quickly and were able to relax. Our daughter wanted to live there forever. Really friendly and helpful welcome from David too. It it so clean and well looked after that my husband was convinced we were the first people to ever stay there. The children didn’t want to leave. The surroundings are idyllic and perfectly peaceful and even though it rained for most of the weekend it didn’t ruin our stay. Wildlife watching out of the windows and playing the games left for guests by the owners. Communication was great with a call on the day of arrival and check ins with us while there to make sure all okay. We will absolutely be returning for another stay. Cannot recommend highly enough.

The property was very clean and well presented. The setting was in quiet countryside, with lots of wildlife to look out for. We had Mallards on the lake and in the evenings three or four Mandarin Ducks flew in. Lots of birds, which included, Blue Tits, Great Tits, Nuthatch, Robin, Blackbird, Buzzard, Chaffinch, Greenfinch, Wood Pigeon, Wren, C/Crows, Rooks etc. We had Cows in the barn behind us, also Squirrels. With Bats being active around dusk. We thought improvements could be made if there was a washing machine or at least a 'Clothes Horse' instead of a Dishwasher.
