"We had a wonderful stay in this quaint, warm and cosy cottage."
Donna and Pete are brilliant hosts and gave us advice on places to go and to eat eg. best pub with great food is the Plough Inn. Also we’re happy for us to pick apples (eating and cookers), damsons from their fruit trees. Thank you.
-
"Lovely little grade II listed cottage."
Very clean and comfortable. Cosy and romantic. The location is fabulous, surrounded by fields and walks from the door. The owners live on site and are very hospitable, but not intrusive. Would return again.
-

"Perfect cottage with beautiful surroundings."
Very clean and comfortable. Pete and Donna were the perfect hosts.
-
"Peter and Donna, the owners were very kind, helpful and welcoming."
The cottage was spotlessly clean and full of character. The countryside around the cottage was just beautiful. This made for a very relaxing space at the beginning and end of our days exploring the area. Thankyou .
-
"Beautiful charming comfortable spotlessly clean cottage with lots of character, with everything you need for your stay."
The hosts are welcoming friendly and helpful couldn’t ask for anyone better nothing too much trouble, let us use their lovely garden with great views which we appreciated. Pup a few yards from cottage where you can get a nice meal. Beautiful area lots of nice places to visit.

"We had a lovely stay at Little Pound House."
The cottage is very compact but beautifully done and has a very comfy king sized bed. Owners Pete and Donna are very friendly and are happy for you to use their beautiful garden with stunning views over the surrounding countryside. The area is unspoilt and we enjoyed Bewdley (make sure you visit the museum with kitchen garden cafe) and exploring into Herefordshire. This cottage is attached to the owner’s home and there is only a (locked) door between your living room and their kitchen but this didn’t bother us. We’d love to come back if we’re ever in the area again. Thanks for having us and we will be happy to add your cottage to our website www.romanticretreats.co.uk :-)

"Loved our stay."
Great cottage and great owners

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Little Pound House, which was only booked a few days prior to our visit for my husbands birthday treat."
Very cosy but comfortable Cottage. Great area to explore and so many places nearby to visit. We had a lovely meal in the pub which is literally a minutes walk away. The owners Peter and Donna are so lovely and friendly, wanting to make sure we were comfortable, and offering the use of their garden. We enjoyed chatting with them. Thank you.
-
"What a delightful cottage and the owners, Donna and Peter, couldn’t do enough for us."
If only there were more like them. The cottage and location is quiet and peaceful with country views and was absolutely perfect for the two of us. Good pub and restaurant within a minute, staff are few but very welcoming with a decent menu. All in all we enjoyed our stay very much, so an excellent few days break and fantastic hosts. "This is a little gem."
The owners, who live in the adjoining property, were the perfect hosts. This is an excellent base for a few days peace and quiet, with lovely views from the extensive garden over the surrounding countryside.

"We had a lovely week in the Little Pound House."
It is extremely compact but has everything you need for a comfortable stay for two people. The owners were very friendly and kindly let us use their garden which made a perfect place to eat outside in the evenings. There are plenty of great walks and interesting places to visit in the area and two pubs serving good food nearby.
-
"A beautiful small cottage which is attached to the owners cottage with full use of the whole garden which is large with beautiful views."
The owners Donna & Peter are lovely, friendly and gave us great local tips on pubs etc. The cottage was immaculate and although we didn’t use it, the lounge has a wood burner so very cosy if cold weather. There is no oven but there is a microwave and two ring hob which is sufficient as there are so many good pubs you don’t need to cook. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the location was perfect - so much to do within a 30 minute drive with very little traffic. Would def recommend a visit.
-
"Pete and Donna very helpful could not do enough for us would stay there again and recommend it to other people."

"The property is comfortable and very clean."
The owners are very helpful. Our concern is the majority of the main photo of the property on the website is of the owner's house, not the rental cottage. On views 14 and 15 only the small window to the left of the photo is of Little Pound House, which is at the side of the owner's property. View 16 is not part of the rental property. The owners invited us to use their garden and were very friendly. We had no issue with them or the interior of the property, but feel the outside photos of Little Pound House should accurately only show that property and not the one next door.
-
"A lovely cottage, comfortable and spotlessly clean."
Quiet and peaceful with country views. Perfect for 2 people. Owners were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, we only had to ask. Several good eating places and a well stocked farm shop within easy reach. Enjoyed our stay very much.
-
"Comfortable cosy cottage with beautiful views."
Some excellent pubs nearby. Not sure why the one 60 metres away never opened. The hosts, Donna and Pete, were extremely helpful and friendly.
-
"The property is situated in a nice quiet village with a public house there are numerous footpaths for the walkers with wonderful views of the clee hills, a short distance away are the towns of Cleobury Mortimer, bromyard, bewdley, are worth a visit as is berrington hall, witley court, and the Brockhampton estate, The Cottage is well presented and extremely clean and the owners are only to willing to ensure that you have a enjoyable stay, The stairs may not be suitable for everyone being rather steep, but overall an excellent property."
-
"Had a lovely weekend, great countryside, the owners are very friendly and helpful."
(A coffee pot would be useful).
-
"Great holiday and fantastic hosts."
Couldn't do enough for you.
-
"Cute cottage in beautiful garden, owners on site and very helpful."
-
"Excellent holiday."
Owners could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable.
-
"A lovely little cottage, as described in the overview."
It is very compact, with an 'old world' rustic feel - but clean and very well looked after. It is perfect for a couple looking to explore this part of the country. The old stair case is quite steep, so perhaps not for those with any serious mobility issues - but otherwise it is delightful. The owners, Peter and Donna, are friendly and very welcoming. Mamble is so tranquil; sitting at the table outside, you have a lovely view for miles into the distance and you are lucky to hear a single car, or indeed person, for hours on end. As we discovered, this part of the country is extremely beautful with some breathtaking scenery. Would recommend it.
-
"Exceptionally friendly hosts made this a lovely stay."
A pretty part of the country with lots to visit too. And the bed is one of the most comfortable I have slept in.

"Our cottage was beautiful and spotless and in a lovely location, it had everything in it that we required for a relaxing weekend."
The area has plenty of places to visit which are within easy reach from the cottage. The owners were very warm and welcoming and recommended places to eat and visit, we would definitely recommend a stay at this cottage.
-
"Overall a really enjoyable holiday in a delightful little cottage."
Great location with places like Hay on Wye, Bridgnorth and Ludlow all within 45 mins of the cottage. Great pub 50m from the front door! The huge garden is fabulous to sit and enjoy a drink and food in when the weather is good. A couple of little gaps; cooking a struggle with the microwave and small hob; a larger selection of pans and crockery would be good; no access to a washing machine for longer stays. Other than this we would recommend Pound House if you are looking for a relaxing break and a warm welcome from Pete and Donna who are lovely hosts.
-
"We had such a lovely stay at Little Pound House."
The cottage was cosy and comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed making use of the garden- stunning views! We were made to feel so welcome by Pete and Donna and nothing was too much trouble- we felt right at home! Pete gave us some great recommendations for day trips out too which made our stay memorable. Thanks both. We hope to be back again! Harriet and Jack

"We have just enjoyed a relaxing weeks stay at Pound cCottage."
The hosts, Donna and Pete, were very welcoming and we found the accommodation had everyting we needed. The two best features were the local pub/restaurant offering an excellent menu, only a few yards away and the fastest broadband I have ever experienced (75 Mbs). Excellent base from which we explored 4 NT properties , most within a 40 minute drive.
-
"Lovely little cottage in perfect location."
Donna and Peter were lovely hosts and very helpful.
-
"A picturesque cottage set in lovely countryside with amazing views."
Every consideration was made to provide us with our needs. The owners made great efforts to ensure our stay was the best it could possibly be. We would highly recommend it.
-
"Not much privacy and the outlook from the cottage was a set of dustbins."
-
"Fabulous accomodation, fabulous location."
-
"Had a lovely relaxing break at Little Pound cottage."
Donna and Peter were perfect hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the cottage was spotless. Lovely bottle of wine awaited us upon arrival. The cottage is in the peaceful village of Mambles. Lots of National Trust sites nearby, with woodland walks. The cottage is an ideal base to visit places such as Ludlow, Bewdley and the Cotswolds.

"If your looking for a home from home then this is the place to be."
We stayed for 5 nights at the little pound cottage, Pete and Donna who restored the cottage done an amazing job, with little touches of antiques around the cottage to the beautiful log fire, it really has been beautifully put together by them both. The cottage is located perfectly for visiting Ludlow, Leominster, Tenbury Wells, Bewdley etc. The cottage was spotless and they even left a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. The hosts Pete and Donna were so welcoming and we look forward to seeing them again as well as visiting the cottage. We have already told all our friends and family about the cottage and they plan to visit in the near future. The little pound cottage is truly beautiful and at the end of each day myself and my partner couldn’t wait to go back to it each day from our outings. We can honestly say we already feel like we have built a second home in this cottage and cannot wait to return! Thank you Pete and Donna for putting together a stunning cottage and making us feel ever so welcome
-
"Fantastic place to chill out."
Beautiful cottage and countryside. Donna and Pete can't do enough for their guests. Would definitely return. Dave and Debs.
-
"We had a fabulous 3-night stay at Little Pound Cottage."
It is a small cottage but perfectly formed and is full of character. The cottage was spotless. The garden is huge and has wonderful views to enjoy and lots of places to sit. We went for walks straight from the door. It is such a pretty and peaceful area. The hosts are lovely people, who made sure we were happy with everything. We would definitely book again. Thank you.
-
"The main picture is of the owners house, the cottage is the small window to the left & round the other side."
It has been tastefully fitted out & is comfortable for a few days away. There should be a few things mentioned in the description of the property. The steps are steep & narrow & also the ceilings are quite low. My husband is over 6 foot & kept banging his head. Love the bath, but it too is only small, ok for me but not husband. In today's climate there should be a dishwasher (a small one would fit) in the kitchen, which would give peace of mind that pots have been washed on a high temperature. The weather was very hot, so the bed would have been better with a thin duvet on, or just a top sheet. The owners were very friendly & the property was very clean
-
"Pound cottage is a beautiful cosy cottage situated in idyllic surroundings."
We were looking for a relaxing and tranquil week away, and this was perfect for my husband and I. Typical for a cottage of this size, the staircase was very small and very steep with only 10 steps, however the overall cottage had everything we wanted for a home to home experience. The large garden overlooked amazing views of countryside, and was a very quiet area. The hosts who live on site, were very pleasant and made us feel very welcome. We explored lots of the local area, and will definitely be returning in the future.
-
"Lovely little cottage in a great location, perfect for exploring the area."
The owners were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. We would visit again.
-
"The location was ideal for trips around."
Hosts were excedingly friendly and helpful. The cottage was all I wanted for a peaceful week away. I enjoyed the garden and enjoyed taking home apples and damsons. All being well, I will return next year!!!.
-

Good location for getting about especially for national trust properties, and the Severn valley railway. Donna & Peter were very good hosts,a nice touch was the bottle of wine, bread and milk left out for us. Recommend The Plough in Far Forest for a midweek carvery. All in all very relaxing break highly recommended. Ron & Bea

We spent a week there the property has been done up to a very high standard. The original features like the beams and fire place give you a really feel for the cottage countryside life. Set in outstanding countryside the views are amazing. Our hosts Pete and Donna were lovely people, very helpful telling us of local places to go and close by if we needed anything but we didn’t everything was just fine. The cottage is very clean and has a friendly, warm atmosphere to it.
