"Fantastic stay with regards to the location and what was offered."
Unit was well equipped but some basic instructions on how to use some of the equipment would be beneficial (particularly the vacuum cleaner and stove)
-
"Clean and tidy on arrival."
Well maintained, well equipped property. Good comms with owner who was keen to help make our stay enjoyable. Location was handy for Bletchley Park, The Shuttleworth Estate, Wimpole Hall, Wrest Park (really lovely) and Canons Ashby. Recommended!

"Firstly, the owners have a German Shepherd dog which may be friendly but ran out and chased members of my group on separate occasions which is very scary!"
Not good. I've never had to leave a cottage at 09:00 in the morning and strip the beds! The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived and had everything we needed. The negatives of the cottage are the kitchen is definitely in need of a refurb and the tap dripped a lot constantly. We couldn't find the bins to dispose of our rubbish but not a major issue.
Thank you for staying with us, and we are absolutely devasted that Narla scared your guests, she is such a softy and loves people we try and introduce her to guests. We apologize about the tap we hadn't had a chance to change it, all fixed now, so no more dripping taps. We only ask guests to leave the property as they found it, and you would certainly have been able to leave later which is never an a problem, we just ask that you to let us know. Property Owner

"We had a lovely time in the granary and are very happy to recommend them."
Acouple of points that were annoying to us were a)the kitchen tap which dripped constantly and moved and was declared ok by the owner. B) a knife sharpener would be useful as all the knives were blunt. C)9 am is too early to leave considering you can't get in til 4pm.....and you are expected to clean through.
Thank you for letting me know about the knives, I have since bought news ones which are very sharp. Property Owner

"The Granary was a lovely place to stay."
The location is ideal with plenty of places to visit nearby. The cottage gives a lovely homely and luxurious feel with spacious rooms and all amenities you could need.

"A really nice welcoming cottage with a real comfortable feel."
Everything was provided for, with all the necessities including tea, coffee and milk . The en suite shower was great we all ended up using the shower. It was nice to relax and unwind with lots of family games made available . Highly recommended for a relaxing break with all home comforts made available. Thanks so much to the hosts for a great staycation.

"Comfortable and attractive cottage in beautiful rural surroundings yet within easy access for trains into London."
Perfect location for our family holiday. Very helpful and friendly owners. We had a great time, thank you
-
"The Granary was a lovely place for our holiday (4 people) It had everything we needed but I think it might be a bit cramped with 6."
Property was clean and provided with lots of extras (fans, kitchenutensils we dont even have at home) They even fixed a minor problem with one of the toilets!

"Thank you so much for having us at your wonderful property - it was everything we could have asked for and more!"

"Very gracious owner , very helpful, we had a lovely stay, have recommended it to some friends"
-
"We stayed at the Granary for a week whilst my partner recovered from shoulder replacement surgery which was carried out at a hospital nearby."
The property was warm and cosy and very clean. The furnishings and extra touches made it very luxurious. The owner made us feel very welcome and ensured that we had everything we needed (including a warm blanket for sitting in the sunshine in the lovely courtyard) to make our stay perfect. Although we weren’t able to on this occasion we can confirm that there are some interesting walks to be taken from the farm. It is a working farm but the holiday accommodation is so well set out that we were not bothered by noise. It is in an easy to get to location with excellent road links and plenty of places to visit nearby. All in all it was a perfect stay and we can highly recommend it.

"Beautiful accommodation in a beautiful setting."
The location is ideally placed and the accommodation itself has everything you will need. Throughly recommend for a short trip or a longer break!

"Lovely property with equally lovely hosts."
A great week away the property was perfect for our needs. Always warm with the underfloor heating downstairs a plus. Nice to meet narla she soon recognised us and stopped barking her warnings. The granary had all the equipment we needed to make our stay easy. Plenty of things to do all near by. really enjoyed our evening at the land of lights in Milton Keynes. This property has been added to the Cottages to return to next time we need to be in the area.

"The property is lovely and comfortable, and well stocked with everything we needed."
The owners were on hand if needed, and Nala (one of the dogs) was very welcoming. The property was handy for Bletchley Park which was very interesting, and not too far from the Shuttleworth Collection. Also handy for Milton Keynes and Red Bull Factory. We would come again.

"We had a wonderful stay in this lovely cozy property."
We had everything we needed and our toddler loved the ducks and geese on the pond close to the property. The owners were very welcoming and available to help if needed.

"Our stay was somewhat spoilt by the lack of central heating, that we were not informed about before or on our arrival, apparently the main boiler had failed and spare parts were awaited."
We waited for the heating to come on the first night and were freezing in the bathrooms and bedrooms when it didn’t. There was a heater in the living room, to warm half of it. After sending our first email the next morning, the owner informed us that there were heaters in the cupboard under the stairs and extra blankets. These still weren’t sufficient and we had to email yet again. We were eventually given two oil filled radiators for the bedroom and a new heated clothes airer to dry our wet towels on. This was not much good, as we were asked not to leave it on when we were out. The owner eventually came to apologise and explain her problems, but we are cross that she did not email/ phone us beforehand to explain the cold house and that we had to do all the asking. We paid for a centrally heated house. It was not exactly warm weather for our stay and one of our party suffers badly from circulation problems and is always cold at the best of times. The noise from farm machinery was also excessive at times.

"Beautiful location and very well kept accommodation, friendly and accommodating owners, highly recommended."

"It was our second stay at The Granary."
The house is well furnished, in a peaceful location, and within easy access of the M1 and Bedford. It really is one of the best holidays lets we stay at. If we are back in the UK next summer we will try to stay again.
-
"My wife and myself travel very frequently , the granary bar far is the best accommodation by far we have stayed in the owners could not have been more accommodating, they had time for us and our children , we will defiantly be visiting again ."

"What a wonderful place!"
The Granary is in a great location atop a hill with wonderful views of the lake and countryside beyond. The house itself is very well equipped, with a great selection of pans and implements in the kitchen. The rooms are beautifully furnished with lovely touches of ornamental flourish and it all feels quite luxurious. Really convenient for Woburn, Bedford and Milton Keynes, and has supermarket and a great chippy in Marston Moretaine 5 minutes away. Can’t wait to come again!
-
"Lovely accomodation, very well equipped."
The extra touches such as baby essentials hamper, coffee and milk all appreciated too. The Granary is decorated beautifully and feels very homely. We found it to be a perfect base for our holiday. Thank you.

"It was absolutely fabulous and decorated beautifully for Christmas."
However the property was let down by the kitchen utensils. The frying pans were dirty and had to be washed before we could use them. The Le Creuset saucepans were very heavy and dangerous as the handles are very loose. Suggestions would be to replace the kitchen utensils and put a dustbin into each of the three bedrooms, not just the small ones in the bathrooms. We arrived a day late and found a dirty coffee mug on the landing window half full. Not nice.
We always accept criticism with good grace, and do everything we can to ensure our guest have a wonderful experience with us. The property is always expertly cleaned prior to guests arrival, so we were hugely disappointed to learn that an item had escaped our rigorous cleaning regime. We agree for some Le Creuset saucepans are heavy, however there are many other saucepans to chose from in the kitchen. We are not sure why this guests said that there were no bins in the bedrooms, each bedroom has its own waste paper bin, as well as bins in all bathrooms. We had gone to a huge amount of effort to dress the property tastefully for Christmas, with lots of added extras which they clearly appreciated. Property Owner

"We had a wonderful stay at the Granary, nice people and everything was clean, we had a very relaxing holiday, visited Belvoir Castle, The Higgins Museum, Woburn Safari park, eat at a nice fish restaurant in Woburn."
Very healthy and tasty food. The Swann is a very good restaurant as well only music too loud, but food is outstanding. An amazing place. Kids has been sailing on the water in front of the farm. Around the farm is nice (John Bunyan)walking trail. A bottle of wine was on the table.

"My wife and I had a wonderful stay at the granary."
Everything including the host was amazing and the description on Sykes website was accurate. We have stayed in many holiday properties and this one was certainly the best and one which we are most likely to return to.

"Perfect location for us."
Quiet location on a working farm, yet close enough to the road network to get to everywhere we needed to be while on on vacation in the UK. All the instructions and directions where clear. Nice welcome basket.

"The quality of the house and the beauty of the outside areas are even better than they appear in the photos."
The sunsets over the water, the tranquility of sitting outside in the courtyard, and the friendliness of the owners and working farm staff made this an amazing holiday location and we are excited to be able to return soon.

"Honestly the pictures do not do this place justice."
Exceptionally beautiful, all furnishing lovely and the surrounding countryside very tranquil and lots of footpaths to explore. The host even took in our shopping delivery when we got held up in traffic which was just really lovely of her. Have a brilliant time, highly recommend.

"Nice touches feels like a home not a holiday home"
-
"The granary was a superb cottage which was very well equipped with everything that we needed and more."
The hosts were super friendly and made us feel very welcome. We were particularly pleased with the thought and consideration that had gone into preparing the extra touches of the goodies that may be needed for our baby grandson including, hair shampoo for babies, sudocrem etc etc. Never before have we been offered such a vast range of necessities for him and we were overjoyed at the care and consideration given to us. The location itself was so lovely, with great walks close to the farm that we could make use of and our grandson thoroughly enjoyed seeing the tractor and the ducks on the lake. We would highly recommend the granary to others and are looking forward to staying again in the future when we next plan to visit our family who live nearby.
