  • "This cottage was a beautiful little place for our weekend away."

The location and view is stunning especially in the bedrooms and it was nice and clean it didn’t quite get full marks because we felt upstairs hadn’t been hoovered very well as my husband trod on a clothing tag and there was a few little bits on the carpet. Everything was comfy and a log burner was an added bonus it added to the cosy cottage feeling. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could imagine and everything worked well. We only had trouble with the toilet which needed attention on the last day and we alerted the owner so they can fix this. The shower is great. Overall a perfect place for a few nights stay exploring ironbridge. I would just warn anyone staying that there is a very steep hill down into ironbridge and it’s a fairly long walk to blists hill but if you love walking this will not be an issue.

  • "32 Church Hill is a real home from home."

Everything we needed had been thought of. Extremely clean, very comfortable and the welcome basket was really appreciated. Top of my tick list is always a comfy bed and this was definitely met. Set in a lovely area, with fabulous views. We were grateful for the easy parking close to the Cottage. Others have mentioned the walk from the town to the cottage being a challenge and we would agree, but it in no way spoiled our experience. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage.

  • "A nice but quirky little house."

Fascinating finding the back door on first floor. Also found it very odd lying in bed looking at the ceiling with the different angles.but all a very comfortable place. A couple of small details, the cistern needs some attention as the handle had to be returned manually otherwise it kept flushing, the fridge was a little bit on small side could do with a normal sized under counter fridge only and possible a small table top freezer in the laundry room same as we have found in other small properties.

The views from the bedroom window are wonderful and the outside space was a joy to use when we relaxed at the end of the day. It was a lovely surprise to find tea/coffee and milk when we arrived and the other treats were also appreciated. The location was so good that we didn't have to move the car all week, as all the museum's were within easy walking distance. We also walked to Buildwas Abby and Benthall Hall, which were both close by and worth a visit. The best thing was how clean and comfortable it was. Thank you!

  • "The cottage was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable weeks holiday in May, including a nice welcome pack, the area was very nice, the only downside was the steep hill to walk up after visiting the town, we had to take a breather a couple of times and we consider ourselves reasonably fit in our 70s."

  • "A delightful cottage for 3 which retains original features such as fireplaces while providing comfortable, retro-themed modern facilities."

The bedrooms have stunning views across the river. We had a very pleasant weekend there. It is about a 5-minute walk down into Ironbridge town with its independent shops and cafes and of course the Ironbridge, but note you need to be reasonably fit to manage the uphill walk back! Pay close attention to directions as the upper roads of Ironbridge are quite narrow with some acute junctions.

  • "Really liked how modern everything was, door handles, taps etc felt tight as a drum."

Oven was a bit tricky, kept turning itself off during cooking, but this seemed to sort itself out by the end of the week. Smoke alarms were too sensitive, went off every time we had a fry up. Seating and bed were very comfortable. Lovely to have enough condiments, laundry/dishwasher tabs etc for the week. Parking pass was a nice touch too. Overall a fantastic property and would definitely use again when in the area.

  • "I love this property, perfect for me as a solo traveller."

I came in May, but have an op due shortly so fancied a pre op winter break, to really use the wood burner which didn't disappoint. On this occasion, owner Janet texted to warn me a couple of roads were shut, a great help as I was able to adjust my route in to avoid the Christmas lights switch on. Very grateful for that, this is a lovely place, in a nice central location for Shropshire. Definitely check it out (just not when I want to book it, please ! ) Matt

Handy for the local pubs/restaurants, but as the address implies it's on a hill, like most of Ironbridge, so you work off the evening meal walking back up the hill.

  • "Fantastic property."

Tastefully decorated and comfortable bed. Beautiful views of the valley from both bedrooms. Comfy sofa and a great TV in the lounge, next to an easy to use fireplace. Very much appreciated the welcome package (milk, biscuits and fizz). The visitors parking permit was useful for trips to the local shops. Issues we had - The tesco delivery driver refused to come up the narrow road in the dark (was not wet or icy), I had to meet him down by the iron bridge to collect the order! The fridge freezer is small, so be careful how much you buy. The road in both directions is steep, not to be underestimated if you're not a keen walker. Overall we really recommend this property.

Although small it was very well equipped and spotlessly clean, with big soft towels and a lovely comfortable bed. The milk and bottle of Prosecco in the fridge were much appreciated and a nice touch. The cottage is situated on quite a steep hill, the road is quite narrow but there is room to park a car directly outside the property. It is about a 10 minute walk downhill from the cottage to the centre of Ironbridge and slightly longer to walk back. Being from Wales we are used to walking up and down hills!! I would highly recommend this cottage if you are planning on visiting Ironbridge.
