"The property was well presented but our experience was spoiled by the poor parking exacerbated by the building work across the road."
The lounge area was too small for us and the sofa uncomfortable.
Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at the property. We have previously highlighted on our details that building work is being carried out in close proximity and that the off road parking is for one small to medium car but we are sorry that it impacted on your stay. Kind Regards, Manor Cottages Property Owner

"The property is in need of some TLC,no wardrobe for clothing,TV is messy to use ,two internet modems to operate and the Tv control The parking could be a major problem if you have a larger car, mine is a Nissan juke and was a tight fit."
On the the plus side the service we received by Sykes cottages was excellent but I am afraid we won’t be returning to the Bath house !!!
Thank you for your feedback, we have taken on board your comments and updated the listing with regards to parking to provide as accurate information as possible. The property has a Freeview box to upgrade the TV to a Smart TV, this unfortunately means extra remotes. The bedroom does have a built in wardrobe as you walk down the stairs in front of you with hangers in. We hope that you enjoyed all that Blockley had to offer and look forward to welcoming you back to the Cotswold's again soon. Best wishes, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

"Lovely stay at the bath house, perfect little place for the two of us and our medium sized dog."
The real pluses would be: a clean cosy cottage with good use of space, a very good bathroom, garden was perfect for our dog, great village location, friendly area, good dog walks close by, a few lovely places to eat and drink within walking distance, good local shop. A few constructive points would be some extra kitchen and dining utilities ie more bowls and glasses etc ... And we had little room in the bedroom cupboard as there was things stored there which presumably was just an oversight... But thanks to the owner also for the lovely welcome treats etc... a really nice cottage and place to spend a short break, we hope to be back , thank you
Thank you for your lovely feedback and your constructive points which we will take on board. We look forward to seeing you again very soon! Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"We thoroughly enjoyed our time at The Bath House."
Very quaint property, bijou and had everything we required. Blockley is a lovely village too. Many thanks.

"The Bath House has been stylishly renovated and is ideally situated and in easy reach of facilities in Blockley village."
Parking is only suitable for small to medium cars, our Ford Cmax (Focus size) is as big as the space allows. A larger vehicle will jut out into the road. Opposite is a building site which is noisy with the constant coming and going of vans and lorries so a week-time stay would be compromised. The building site is a long-term issue.
Thank you for taking the time to provide this feedback. We're glad you enjoyed the property and location. We're sorry to hear you experienced issues with a nearby building site - thank you for bringing this to our attention and we will endeavour to find out more information for future guests. "The cottage was very comfortable and situated in a pretty village."
It was just right for 2 people and a small dog. It was clean and they had provided cleaning materials, tea towel, dish cloth along with washing tabs. Also they left milk, eggs, butter, fresh orange juice, crisps and biscuits which was a lovely touch. Unfortunately we did not have instructions for the microwave/oven which was a bit tricky. It would have been nice to have had a toilet brush and possibly a vacuum to ensure the cottage was left as we had found it. The Great Western is definitely worth a visit, as the welcome by Andy was great and the food was good. The only thing that spoiled it a little was that the church clock struck every hour, all through the night and they had bell-ringing practice every Tuesday and Thursday evenings for 2 hours!!!
Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are pleased that you were comfortable and enjoyed the welcome goodies.Thank you for your suggestions and recommendation of the local pub. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

"Lovely cottage, very clean and cosy."
We could have stayed longer as so much to do and places to visit. Would highly recommend the The Bath House to stay in.

"Ideal place to stay for 2 people and a dog."
Shop 2 secs away and a couple of decent pubs. Plenty of short-mid-long walking routes on the doorstep as well. Cottage itself had everything we needed for 4 nights.
Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are pleased that you and your dog enjoyed all the local walking. We hope we can welcome you back again in the future. Best wishes Character Cottages Property Owner

"The Bath House is situated in the picturesque village of Blockley which is central to all amenities."
The cafe and store is two minutes walk away which I would highly recommend we had a beautiful meal also the Great Western Arms is a must but booking in advance is advised for both. We had a week of good weather and travelled around the local area visiting some beautiful villages and towns. Batsford Arboretum at Moreton in Marsh and Cotswold Wild Life Park & Garden Centre at Burford are brilliant days out well worth a visit. The Bath House is situated in the centre of the very busy village of Blockley with a very small car park which we did find difficult for parking as our car is quite long and it did just fit!! The accommodation was spotless and met our needs but could be better equipped with kitchen utensils and also instructions on how to use the combi oven. It has an excellent walk in shower and we found the bed very comfortable but I think the bedroom could be quite cool in the Autumn/Winter but the owner has added an additional heater to use if needed. We had a fabulous week and were fortunate enough to have a week of good weather in September which was a bonus.
Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments for The Bath House. It is great to have recommendations from guests and we will look into the utensils and also arrange for instructions for the combi oven. We are glad you had a fabulous week and the weather was good for you. Character Cottages Property Owner

"Bedroom felt damp and cold, car parking space very small and tight (passengers have to get out before parking."
Garden unkept. Kitchen ill equipped, no egg cup only 2 small saucepans anddamaged cooking sheet, no Cullander plus a leaking tap and leak under sink (tap was repaired) and no vacuum cleaner to keep thing reasonable.Overall very small. Building work going on next door to add insult to injury. Not a good experience
Thank you for your feedback with regard to The Bath House. We are sorry to hear of the issues you have encountered during your stay. We did however act swiftly to your call and sent Maintenance around the same morning to address the small leak. The cottage is a stone cottage, which is listed, quirky, quaint and which can accommodate 2 people and a pet comfortably. It might sometimes feel cooler than a modern build, but you have heating throughout the house and a small heater in the bedroom for your use, if you feel the cold. The parking space is quite rare for Blockley, but you can fit most family cars in this space. The kitchen is equipped for two guests, but I will get Housekeeping to check if anything needs adding, thank you for this comment. We apologise for the building work, we had not been made aware of this, but unfortunately it is beyond our control. Never the less if we felt it was going to impact your stay at all, we would of course have been in touch with you prior to your stay to advise you of this. We hope you enjoyed the stay and made the most of the fabulous location and places to visit in the area. Kind regards Character Cottages Property Owner

"This was such a great property to stay in, the location could not have been better."
The village of Blockley is so quintessential English and very picture postcard. The cafe and shop are located next door to the property, which is so handy for a great breakfast and of course provisions. The local ‘Great Western’ Pub along with the Cafe is very good for food and everyone is really friendly. The Cafe is what we would term as ‘fine dining’ but due to the basic but very comfortable interior, does not charge over the top prices. The food was outstanding but you do need to book in advance. We did some great walks with our dog and then back to the cottage for ‘sundowners’ in the lovely courtyard and to the sound of the church bells located just behind the property. In fact apart from the church bells and the odd horse clip clopping by, you could hear a pin drop. Everywhere is within close proximity to the village, which makes it a good base to stay. The cottage was spotless and catered for all our needs, the bed was very comfortable and the en-suite shower a joy. We did stay during a very hot and sunny week (13/06-17/-6) which I know we were extremely lucky with and even better that we could go down to the bedroom at night, which had remained lovely and cool. We would definitely recommend The Bath House and will most certainly stay there again.
What wonderful feedback, thank you. We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay in Blockley at The Bath House. The cafe as we would agree is certainly lovely, the owners have recently opened another venue in the nearby town of Moreton-in-Marsh if you do decide visit the area in the future so definitely worth a visit. "The heating would not come on so the bedroom was cold throughout the stay"
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback following your stay at The Bath House. We're sorry if you experienced an issue with the heating in the bedroom - there is a thermostat upstairs which controls the heating as guests do have to adjust it accordingly for their own level of comfort. We hope this didn't impact your stay and that we can welcome you again. A plug in heater is now available in the bedroom to supplement the central heating. Property Owner
