• "Little Gables is a wonderful Cotswold house with so much history and class."

  Luckily for us we had fabulous sunshine, so were able to enjoy a few cream teas enjoying the beautiful garden. Broadway is such a lovely place to stay and visit. Karl, the owner, texted a few times to make sure everything Tickety- Boo Thank you Karl.

• "We have just returned from a week's holiday in the beautiful village of Broadway and stayed in the most amazing historical house, Little Gables."

  Booking was easy and the owner, Karl, made sure everything was perfect and in order for us by way of text messaging before and during our stay. The house is a Listed Building and has been restored totally in sympathy with the original features, with no expense spared. The well-tended garden area is superb and at the time of our visit in February, the first signs of Springtime was visible. Beyond the garden is a large private car park area with good access and more than enough room for our two large vehicles to manoeuvre and enter and exit in forward gear. We are a three generation family of grandparents, children and grandchildren, totalling six. We first came across Little Gables around eight/nine years ago and, the Covid year apart, we keep revisiting. The accommodation is split internally with two staircases, one from the large hall and the other from the very practical and impressive kitchen dining room. This arrangements suits our party perfectly as we, the grandparents, use the staircase from the kitchen to our bedroom and separate bathroom. Our family thank Karl for letting us share this lovely house and send him our very best wishes.

• "We stayed at Little Gables over the Christmas period in 2024."

  We can honestly say that even though we have travelled to many places in the world, and stayed in very nice accommodation, Little Gables is the best we have ever experienced. The property is wonderful and central in the Broadway village and is so well prepared and provisioned for guests. Karl is an excellent host and is easily contactable should you need assistance at the property. We were very sad to leave after our stay and have vowed to come back and experience Little Gables in Spring or Autumn.

• "Have stayed in many places in Broadway over the last 15 years but this is by far the best property."

  The location is perfect, the property is stunning and well equipped. The owner has paid attention to detail and every room has character. The focal point for us was the kitchen as we spent a lot of time at the large dining table socialising. The owner was quick to answer queries we had regarding the AGA cooker. Our party consisted of 6 adults and 1 child and there was more than enough room for us all. I can highly recommend this property and owner.

• "We spent a wonderful long weekend (except for the weather!"

  ) at Little Gables which is now an annual tradition for the 6 of us - my husband & I and 2 other couples. It has become a home from home with leisurely breakfasts around the kitchen table & cosying up around the log fire. We love we can park up & walk everywhere & this year we took a taxi to MO at Dormy House to celebrate one of our friends 60th birthday. Have already booked for 2025!

• "We had a lovely stay at Little Gables."

  It’s a beautiful property in a fantastic location. Karl was very helpful and stayed in contact during our stay. We were disappointed to find scaffolding around the side of the property upon arrival, this did spoil the look and feel of the property whilst we stayed there. We also found the bed linen synthetic and hot. But aside from the above we had a great time and we would be very happy to return. Thank you.

• "A beautiful house, so well equipped."

  The garden too is beautiful. The weather was atrocious meaning we were more or less forced to stay in the house which in fact worked to our benefit catching up with family in such a lovely house. The owner kept in touch to make sure all was well - a great comfort.

• "Little Gables is a lovely well appointed cottage ideal for a family group which we have used on a number of occasions and never been disappointed."

  It’s location is only a very short walk for the village centre with good shops and eateries etc. Car parking at the rear is excellent and the children’s park only a couple of minutes walk away ensures the young ones use up plenty of energy! An excellent choice and the owner ensures that any issues,which are very rare,are dealt with very effectively.

• "The wow factor was very high when we entered the garden through the gate in the wall."

  A real dream. The house itself is beautiful and decorated with so much attention to detail. You can't get enough of it. The beds are very comfortable and then the AGA. An absolute dream for a cook. • "Ittle Gables is a beautiful property in a beautiful place."

  As a frequent cottage renter I am often a little anxious about what I will find - but this house was a lovely surprise. It was not just as good as I hoped it would be - it was better. I thoroughly fell in love with it and I told the owner Karl this each time I spoke to him. He was totally fabulous and always available for any and all enquiries. My main concern is always cleanliness and it met my standards - which isn’t easy! I wanted to rebook again before I’d even left the property.

• "Little Gables is your quintessential perfect Cotswold cottage, built out of Cotswold stone with wooden beams and stone floors everywhere."

  Given its many original features, such as leaded lights and stone mullion windows with thick stone walls, it is surprisingly warm, particularly with the Aga in the kitchen that is great to come down to in the morning. Karl has done a fantastic job with the tasteful decoration and furnishing, all in keeping with this property and throughout our stay he made himself available should we need to contact him, which we didn’t. If you want to experience living in a true historical Cotswold cottage, with everything you need for that little bit of luxury thrown in, then Little Gables would be hard to beat. We had a fantastic time in Broadway and can’t wait to plan our next return.

• "A stunning warm & cosy cottage."

  The garden is beautifully maintained and we loved the Stag. Made extra special by being able to walk out straight on to the high street full of lovely shops cafes & pubs. We was lucky to be there for the Christmas lights switch on and there were some trees outside the cottage lit up. The issue we had with the stairgate was promptly rectified by Karl. He’s a very caring owner. We will definitely return to Little Gables.

• "A truly stunning property in a perfect location."

  Having all the original character of a listed property and with its quirky features, this cottage is charming. With comfortable furnishings, a well-equipped kitchen and everything else we needed being provided our time here was relaxed and memorable. The spectacular garden is a place we spent many hours during our summer stay and is a truly special place to absorb the ambience and unique atmosphere surrounding the cottage. • "A lovely property and very well equipped."

  First time using an Aga but it was quite easy. Location was great. The garden is really nice and decent garden furniture which is not always the case. The only recommendation I would make is that the kitchen bin is a bit small and one ends up using more black bags (not great for the environment). Maybe a free standing one somewhere?

• "Wow what can I say about this beautiful house."

  Three generations stayed at Little Gables for a week, everything was perfect, we wanted for nothing. Everything you needed was provided. Ideal place to stay for exploring all the villages around Broadway. The garden is wonderful a fabulous cottage garden always something to look at while sitting on the patio area, perfect for enjoying a glass of wine while taking in the sun. Lots of lovely places to eat in Broadway or stay in and enjoy cooking in a fabulous kitchen. We would highly recommend a stay at little Gables best place in the centre of the village. Karl was very friendly and kept in touch by text if you needed anything. This is the 5th holiday home we have booked through Sykes cottages in different parts of the country and have not been disappointed with any of them, always been as advertised. Excellent service. Can't wait to return to Little Gables

• "Little Gables was everything that the online brochure promised."

  It is historically characterful, very well appointed, cosy for the whole of a wet, windy, winter week and easily spacious enough for us 6 adults. The kitchen / dining room was the centre of our household with the Aga keeping us toasty warm. It is very easy to cook on as it's automatically kept up to cooking heat all the time. We cooked dinners for the entire Christmas week including Christmas dinner very easily. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped. Bathrooms are lovely with acres of hot water. It was our perfect home from home. Xmas decorations were much appreciated.

• "Thankyou for a wonderful 4 night stay at Little Gables."

  We are a group of 6 best friends celebrating a birthday and early Christmas day, complete with gifts and full turkey roast dinner cooked on the wonderful Aga. We were in the heart of the village of Broadway, moments away from the famous Christmas market, so we took full advantage of all the friendly local shops and restaurants. We also visited the Sudeley Castle Christmas lights extravaganza. Both definitely did not disappoint Our gratitude also extends to the very approachable owner Karl, who was very helpful in getting the cottage beautifully and tastefully decorated for us before we arrived. The bedrooms are all delightful and comfortable beds. The lounge is very cosy, especially with the wonderful log burner in full swing. The dinning room was a perfect retreat where we spent time eating, drinking and talking, away from the kitchen. A special mention must go to the gardener here! The garden is pristine and beautiful, as is the Cottage and village. We honestly wanted for nothing during our stay and we will cherish memories made in this beautiful cottage for ever. • "The property was very well equipped."

  We would have liked a power shower, and the kitchen cupboards were rather old and worn. Spiders and other insects were often seen which I suppose would be expected due to the age of the house. There was no draining holder for plates and cups. Cooking on the Aga was difficult. Hope that this feedback is taken as constructive and useful.

• "The minute I set eyes on your property online I instantly fell in love and the minute I opened that gate it certainly did not disappoint."
