• "Beautiful cottage, with all we needed for our stay."

  We were just a couple with a dog, so didn't use 2 of the bedrooms, but everything looked suitable and in good condition. Kitchen was really well equipped, and some fresh milk in the fridge was lovely - along with fresh cut flowers - you can tell the owners/caretakers make a great deal of effort to keep this property in good shape - everything was clean and access to cleaning supplies under the sink which was handy. Parking was a real bonus too, and location great, just a short stroll to the shops/pubs etc... or a more challenging walk to Broadway Tower on the doorstep if you fancy it. Living room might be a bit tight for 4+, but a great dining table and space in the kitchen meant we never felt anything but comfortable. Highly recommend the property and will look to stay here again.

• "Welcoming warm cottage which was very comfortable."

  We had previously stayed in Broadway so it was right were we wanted to be for easy access to the high street. Parking was easy the garage was to small for our car but parking in front was fine.It might be better to say turn right after the sign which looks like a pub sign but is for the old road ,as we did drive past before seeing the cottage. The bedrooms are all lovely and ideal to share with a bigger party. We are considering a family stay next time as there is plenty of room and no shortage of bathroom facilities. The garden was very safe for our dog and would be ideal to sit out in at a warmer time of the year. We enjoyed a relaxing break and would book this cottage again.

• "Lovely clean cottage."

  Well equipped. Safe little garden for dogs and chairs to sit out on a warm day. Quiet location with nearby country walks, Private parking a bonus. Good that there is an ensuite bedroom and seperate bathroom upstairs and a loo on ground floor. Take care on steep stairs, very young children would need baby gates. Shops etc and excellent Broadway Museum and art Gallery within walking distance. Overall a very pleasant stay in a beautiful town and a good base for exploring the Cotswolds.

• "Booked at quite short notice, the cottage has everything you need, very comfortable, well equipped, clean and a perfect secure garden with garden furniture to enjoy in the sun, a parking space is a fantastic addition to the cottage."

  Everything you need is on your door step, lovely shops, pubs, walks and restaurants. I would definitely book this cottage again and recommend it to friends and family, very reasonable price as well.

• "Fantastic cottage in the heart of Broadway making it easy to go to all the local shops/restaurants."

  Had a problem with no hot water one night which corrected itself but maintenance team were ready to come out asap! Would love to go again . Highly recommend with teenager kids who have room for their own space and great internet.

• "Lovely cottage, conveniently situated for lots of beautiful walks."

  Plenty of excellent places to eat in Broadway. The cottage is clean and comfortable, and well equipped. Minor issue- needs either blinds or shutters at the living room window. The curtains aren't fit for purpose!

• "A nice house in a great location."

  The decor needs some attention. The curtains and track needs replacing with one with pull strings at the side. At the moment someone has to stand on the sofa arms to close them.

• "Great location for Broadway but unfortunately the cottage was a little tired in several places, and would say that if there’s 6 people then definitely not big enough as only seating for 4 in the lounge (especially if it’s not outdoors weather and you’re looking for a cosy place to relax!"

• "We enjoyed our stay very much."

  Cottage was well equipped and comfortable and coped well with six of us! It is ideally placed in the Upper High Street of Broadway-away from busy tourist locations but easily accessible to them. Plenty of beautiful places to visit nearby. Minor point- with a family of six we generated a lot of recycling which we took to the centre in the village…. Some would be unable or unwilling to do this and so it is a shame recycling can’t be collected from the house. That apart a lovely holiday in a cottage that I am happy to recommend.

• "The property was located in a very close proximity to Broadway so didn't need to use the car to visit the village."

• "The cottage is very well equipped and very comfortable."

  Soft towels, and duvets and pillows. Loved the kettle and so happy there was a teapot and a large coffee carafe. The stove was beautiful and so well supplied with utensils and cutlery and dishes and glasses. The garden furniture was beautiful. I put the cushions back in the shed as I so enjoyed my early morning coffee out there reading in your lovely garden. The cottage was great for our family! Thank you!

• "Cottage was lovely in a great spot in the village and very well equipped ."

  Lots of extras in the cottage eg tbags sugar,cleaning stuff, toilet rolls much appreciated as was the wine and biscuits.Only issue was Sykes directions to park the cars, simply don’t make sense when they were so easy really.we had a great family Coronation BH break thoroughly enjoyed by my adult children.

• "Fantastic location felt like home, warm and cosy had a fantastic time, great to have bathroom and ensuite having two girls."

• "Lovely cosy cottage set in the heart of Broadway with access to the cotswolds walk/Broadway tower walk within a few meters."

  Beds comfortable, kitchen is large and bright and has everything you need plus a great range cooker for those who like to cook! Dog friendly enclosed south facing garden with views across the fields. Attention is needed to dusting the light fixtures as they are covered with a thick layer and cob webbs ( it’s been a long time since they have been dusted, there’s general everyday dust and then there is not been dusted in a long time and the fixtures have been neglected). The shower head in the en-suite needs replacing as it doesn’t work very well having said that the shower in the main bathroom is great.This has not put us off and we are booking to stay here again. The issues are quick fixes. There is a nice feeling when you walk in and I can’t quite put my finger on it.. just some places you have a nice feeling and this is one of them.

• "Lovely cottage in a fantastic position with parking which is a real bonus in Broadway."

  I would say the cottage could do with some T.L.C it’s tired in some places particularly in the bedrooms and bathrooms but if this doesn’t bother you then overall it’s good value for money and you couldn’t get a better location in Broadway for the price. We were concerned about the 6pm check in time as we feel that this is very late but after speaking to Manor Cottages they were very helpful and allowed us to check in at 2pm which was great. We would return and we would recommend. Thank you

• "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage."

  Just a few suggestions to improve things; A proper chest of drawers is badly needed in the master bedroom. We were alone so put our cases on the spare bed and lived out of them. If we’d had company this would have been an issue. The utility room was very cluttered and we struggled to get out of the back door without high chairs, mop buckets, mops and ironing board falling over! The heating was a challenge. All we wanted to do was turn it off! We don’t feel the cold, especially at night, and had a constant battle with the hive which kept reverting to previous settings. The only way to turn it off properly is to turn the radiators down on the boiler and several notices say not to touch this. The large plates in the rack are too tall for the dishwasher and stop the rotary arm turning. Hence previous feedback re dirty dishes in cupboard. Hilarious arrangement with the sink tap being screwed to a block of wood! Bit of a bodge up there! So, minor niggles aside, the cottage was lovely. Bed comfy, despite comments re dogs escaping the garden, it was perfect for our Jack Russell and unless you own a gazelle, it’s not escaping! We had everything we needed, including great WiFi and Broadway is so lovely we managed to arrange a further 2 nights at the last minute, the evening before and out of working hours. Big thanks for this to the very lovely housekeeper who agreed to come and clean on a Sunday and who also left the house beautifully clean for our arrival, plus texted us to let us know it was ready earlier than expected on arrival day. Big thanks also to Millie at Manor Cottages for dealing with our request so late in the evening, at about 8.30pm the night before we were due to leave. Would we stay there again? Yes we would; it was a wonderful holiday. A great base for the area.

• "Great location ."

  Parking a real bonus . garden ideal for those with dog. kitchen is a brilliant size and well equipped . . bedrooms comfortable . main front bedroom is quite spacious and could cope with having a bigger bed . we were a wee bit cold until c/h came on in evenings and i couldn't seem to work the hive system to bypass the time clock . there were no instructions re it in the pack and i guess i should have looked it up online . otherwise a very enjoyable stay and the location was so handy for the village centre .I'd certainly book it again

• "Overall very happy with the cottage, good size for 2 couples and a child, maybe a bit of a squeeze for 3 couples."

  Stairs are quite steep, not a problem for us but would be for the less mobile. Garden and patio a nice size and gets the sun all afternoon and evening. Garage is handy to have, we had a Golf, you could get a slightly longer car in and a touch wider but a BMW 3 Series size car prob the limit although the parking in front of the garage is fine for any size vehicle. We stayed when it was 32 degrees C for a few days, we'd seen the forecast so we brought 3 electric fans with us, without these the bedrooms would have been uncomfortable at night - for the cost of £20 per fan, they would be a good addition for each bedroom as they take a lot of room up in the car. The property was clean on arrival, shame you can't access it before 6pm, there were one or two very small cobwebs near the windows but the windows had been left open due to the heat, we live in a rural area and know that spiders soon spot an open window! Overall we had a lovely time and would stay again.

• "I have written a four page letter of complaint."

  It was sent to your HQ by registered post. Firstly, anyone booking this cottage should know that there is a big blue bin under the bay window, conveniently removed for your brochure picture. It looks unsightly. I realise there is no where else to put said bin but it needs to be concealed. Lots of problems with the accomodation. I can also confirm that the place had not been deep cleaned as we were led to believe! Lots of issues here including the walk in shower in need of grouting. The scruffy stair carpet. The numerous cobwebs. Bedroom one has a big window which does not open and there's no fan. Horrendously warm in there. Sheets not ironed. Dirty glasses in the cupboard etc etc etc

  We are so sorry that you found these issues at the property. I can assure you that the window that does not open and the housekeeping failures will be addressed immediately. I wish you had called us on the day you checked in and we would have at the very least cleaned the property to the standard expected. • "A lovely small cottage within walking distance to the centre of town."

  It may be a bit cosy for 6 people but as we were only two, it suited us perfectly. We enjoyed having an en-suite and a bathroom. Clean, and had a well stocked kitchen. An enjoyable week.

• "The property was in the perfect location and has so much potential."

  We had a very nice stay but the property is in need of some TLC. A kitchen cupboard door was hanging off and in one of the glass kitchen cupboards part of the shelf was hanging down. The kitchen sink tap was attached to a wooden block. A gardener arrived at the property during our stay (even though the book said they came on a Tuesday) I was reluctant to let them in as we weren't expecting them. I was surprised to see there is a weekly gardener but not a handyman, seeing that the property is in need of repairs. The cleanliness was good in places you could see but we needed a high chair for our 7 month baby - the people who used it previously hadn't cleaned it off and there was Mouldy food with fur growing on it. Overall we had a nice stay in Broadway and we were very comfortable at the property but I just feel the property needs a good spruce up, especially as we paid over 700 for 3 nights. I would expect more for the price being charged.

• "The house was as described and very comfortable albeit smaller than anticipated."

• "We have just stayed here for a week and had a fabulous time."

  The house was clean, comfortable, had everything we needed and just felt really homely. We loved that the house was so old and it is perfectly situated just up the high street away from the shops and pubs. Even though joined on both sides it was so quiet and relaxing. I must say the internet worked perfectly, the reason I say this is I had to work for a few days and had the internet not been good enough we would have had to go home early so at least we could stay the week. The pubs were lovely in easy walking distance and dog friendly which was great. If I had to point two things out, one would be the pillows were a bit too hard for our liking and secondly there is no gate to the garden. We had a dog with us and when he was muddy from a walk we had to carry him through the house to the back to wash him down so just something to be mindful of. We would absolutely stay here again, loved every minute.

• "My wife and I booked the week long holiday through in April."

  At the time, and due to the ongoing pandemic, we took the company advice and booked travel insurance through them. On the due date of arrival at the cottage, Friday 10 September, my wife and I both did lateral flow tests, which were negative, and arrived at the cottage Friday evening. On Saturday morning my wife felt poorly and did a lateral flow test which was positive, followed by a positive PCR test. We contacted the cottage provider, as a courtesy to inform them of the test result and that we were returning home. Monday morning I spoke with them and was told that their recommended insurance did not cover for a refund in such circumstances and that a COVID refund was only given if you tested positive14 days prior to commencement of your holiday and did not cover curtailment. My personal opinion is that in such times integrity should be a given. We will never use Manor Cottages again and will steer our family and friends away from Using them.

• "Firstly the telephone booking service provided by Sykes was excellent, super friendly and helpful lady."

  The cottage was clean but looking tired in places, the kitchen and bathrooms in particular are in need of renewing if they want to continue to ask top money for it. Painting the windows a trendy grey colour alluded to a much more modern interior and that is far from the case. The location is great but the inside of the cottage is a let down.

• "The cottage was lovely and clean."

  It was really warm and cosy, apart from the loft bedroom which was a bit too cool even with heaters on. The location was great, a short walk to the main part of the High Street. It was also a quiet location as no passing traffic. Having 2 parking spaces was great, although at first we were unsure which was our garage and space. If this could be made clearer it may help, the small diagram was a bit vague and the phone number on the instructions was no longer valid. We asked a neighbour who confirmed we were parked correctly. The garage can only take a smaller car. The kitchen facilities were excellent and the downstairs is nicely laid out. The garden was really pretty and particularly well maintained. The only thing we ran out of was toilet rolls, as we were unable to find any spares - but otherwise it was great and if staying in Broadway again we would definitely book this cottage.

  Extremely cosy and happy to move in anytime you'd like to sell up!. Very grateful our furry companions could be with us too, thats another reason we love Broadway. No complaints atall but just a few additions that would have assisted our dogs and us during our stay would be a Shower Hose attachment to the outside tap (at the front of the property would be marvellous). We had a really wet muddy week but fortunately dogs small enough to pick up and carry through cottage to the back utility & garden to bucket wash down. Extra coat hooks in hallway and on backs of bedroom doors would also be an added bonus. Parking for 2 cars a real bonus with one small enough to get in garage. A note in Visitors book about Blue Bins collection day and seperate recycling at lower carpark would help instead of it all going in Trade Bin. We got it sorted. A fantastic time overall and thanks to Jo your Housekeeper & team for being so helpful. Hope we meet the tick box for being welcomed back! Thank you very much.

• "Well located ."

  Near to the footpath leading to the Broadway Tower. Within driving distance of nearby picturesque villages. The staircase in the house was too steep and narrow. I suppose this is a design issue or that is how it was originally built. The kitchen was satisfactorily large and well equipped. The television could do with an upgrade. No radio was a downside. No hand held shower in the common bathroom. Overall a good holiday in a reasonably accommodative cottage.
