"Mary the owner was so helpful."
She answered any questions promptly and comprehensively. She came to guide me to the Granary when my sat nav took me to the wrong place on arrival. I was almost there but not quite and to be able to follow her to the right address was great. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The accommodation was lovely. I really enjoyed my stay and would book again should I need to go back to Warwickshire.

"The owner that met us was a lovely lady and on call if you need her excellent"

"We had a fantastic stay at the cottage!"
Very cozy and inviting, clean and smelt great! Thank you!

"A lovely little cottage in rural location."
Clean and basic facilities. Not really appropriate for dogs though as advertised as next to busy through road for village road. It would be much better if a fenced garden was an option. Unfortunately electricity was not working in kitchen when we arrived and we had planned on self catering meal for first night. We contacted host and needed to move between next doors cottage but that was being occupied the following night so needed to move between the two. This was an inconvenience for our first night on holiday. Electrician called round early in the morning. I asked if he would give us ten minutes as my children and husband were not yet ready. He asked to come in regardless which I felt uncomfortable with. Curtains would be useful or a weighted blind as we required windows to be open and light blind blew around all night and disturbed our sleep with noise and light into the room.

"Fantastic stay at Granary Cottage, what a beautiful cottage and even better setting so close to the hills."
Owner was welcoming, property spotlessly clean and comfortable. A real home from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We will be back!
-
"The cottage was spick and span, lovely area just at the bottom of the Dassett Hills beautiful walk."
A hoover would have been nice, a welcome basket would have been appreciated and a nice touch. I will book this cottage again as we have family there, i noticed that there was no guest book to leave comments in. Mary the owner was very welcoming, till the next time thank you.

"Everything was provided to ensure we enjoyed the perfect stay, including the bottle of wine on arrival which was a lovely treat!"
-
"Beautifully maintained building."
Extremely well positioned near Junction 12 of the M40. Please use the friendly local shop next to the Malt Shovel in Gaydon. During this hot weather there is a definitely a need for a large fan to keep the air moving. Hence the lower score on Comfort. But well recommended.

"Really nice cottage with 2 bedrooms on floor 1, a spacious reception+kitchen in the ground floor, and nice surroundings with the hill just outside."
The cottage was super clean, had all needed amenities, and nice little touches (plus a welcoming bottle of wine). The only small problem was the slow internet speed, but that was another good reason to go out.

"Fantastic stay a this beautiful place."
So easy to relax here after a long day at work. Would definitely recommend.

"We have spent a super week at Granary Cottage which we really enjoyed."
The property was bright, airy, spotlessly clean and very well equipped with everything we needed (for us and our dog). The owner Mary was extremely welcoming and helpful. We originally booked because of its location next to Burton Dassett Hills (stunning views and lovely walks!) and we were attending an event at the nearby British Motor Museum on the Sunday but also found Granary Cottage very convenient to explore Stratford upon Avon and other delightful spots the Cotswold has to offer - Morton on Marsh (loved Batsford Arboretum), Bourton on the Water, Chipping Norton, Broadway etc. There's a good range of (dog friendly) places to eat locally with excellent food and locals ready to have a chat! Can personally particularly recommend The Malt Shovel Inn in Gaydon, The Yew Tree at Avon Dassett and The Wharf Inn in Fenny Compton (by the canal and charming!) We can highly recommend Granary Cottage and hope to be back soon.

"Such a fabulous little place to stay, perfect for our family and dog !"

"Lovely cottage, spotlessly clean and comfortable."
Perfect for a weekend away

"Such a beautiful property near Bassett Hills and close to the motorway."
The house itself was really hot especially as the sun sets on the front of property and we arrived on a very warm afternoon. This isn't a negative, just need to keep windows open or blinds and curtains down. The surrounds were gorgeous but not secure enough with children...again not a negative just a personal preference with young children playing. We enjoyed our stay and it was close enough to everything we wanted to do.

"Lovely house."
Great location very welcoming and helpful host. Enjoyed our stay, and the area. The only thing was that the house was for 4 people (plus a dog stayed). - there isn’t enough lounge furniture. Lots of dining/kitchen chairs but only one 2 seater sofa and one lounge chair - ie seats for only 3 people in the lounge area. . We did contact Sykes to explain this before we arrived, but they refused to contact the owner to discuss this. One additional lounge chair would be very useful! But apart from this the house was great.

"A very comfortable well appointed property in a quiet rural location convenient for access to the M40."
Friendly and helpful owners who provided eggs and milk for our arrival. Would definitely book again for access to Stratford, Leamington Spa or Warwick and the British Motor Museum and National Herb Centre garden centre are well worth a visit nearby.

"Lovely and well presented cottage with a well equipped kitchen."
The cottage was very clean and perfect for our short (2 night stay). It was a good location with easy access to the M40 and easily accessible to Warwick and Leamington Spa as well as the popular Cotswold tourist areas and walks around Broadway, Stratford on Avon, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold etc. The bed was probably one of the most comfortable beds I have slept in for a long time. The country park access is within walking distance of about 200 metres of the cottage albeit a bit of a steep climb into the park or a £3 parking charge but well worth the exercise each morning. The only criticism would be the lack of a coat rack, but fortunately for us we had good weather so leaving coats on the back of the chairs was not too much of a problem and the fact that the garden is not secure for the dog so he had to be supervised throughout the stay on the lead in the garden for fear of running onto the road. Was lacking an information pack on rubbish and recycling for the cottage and followed what the neighbouring cottage had done. Limited leaflet information and a information on walks in the local area with maps would be helpful to future guests as these we had to find on-line but often without the benefit of maps unless we signed up to various websites.

"What a delightful property in a lovely, peaceful spot."
Friendly but not intrusive owner. Spotlessly clean property equipped with everything we needed. Great did walking from the door to the top of Burton Dassett country park and across fields to a great pub. Good road networks to Warwick and Stratford. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

"The owner was very friendly and the property is new to the market."
As time goes on, there will be improvements and the owner is very open to suggestions. Overall there was nothing wrong and we were most comfortable. We enjoyed our stay despite having to leave two days earlier than planned due to family illness.

"We enjoyed our 1 week stay at granary cottage and wish we could have stayed longer."
A lovely host who made us feel welcome with extras bottle of wine fresh eggs milk and homemade biscuits. We would definitely stay again.

"The owner Mary gave us such a warm welcome and a very generous welcome pack - The property a converted barn, was bright, comfortable, in a charming setting and provided a peaceful retreat."
We stayed for three nights and were sad to leave, we will definitely book again. There are two barns next-door to each other so for friends or larger groups would be ideal . We found lots of pleases to eat with in two miles of the property and it was also very convenient base for Warwick, Strafford and Bambury which we visited. The property is also on the edge of the country park, which is beautiful. We will return and have no hesitation in recommending The Granery to our friends and family .
