  • "Great place to stay - it must be as this was our second visit and not our last."

Well situated for walks and sightseeing with great places to eat within walking distance and lovely shops too!

  • "The only thing that would have made the stay better was in all previous holiday cottages we have stayed in milk and bread and butter and jam and other local produce have been provided and also tea and coffee and sugar and things like vinegar etc whereas this cottage lacked this."

We arrived at midnight due to our car breaking down so couldn’t get to a shop beforehand so when we arrrived there was only 4 teabags in the cupboard so we couldn’t even have a hot drink so given my experience of previous cottages facilities I was left disappointed

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry that your welcome pack was not provided on arrival. We have contacted the owner to investigate. What a shame, you had car problems on your journey. We hope that all was well for the rest of your stay. Best wishes Manor Cottages Property Owner

  • "Spotlessly clean."

Well maintained and extremely comfortable. Perfect location in the town. Very quiet yet a very short walk to the High Street. We didn’t use the parking space provided - the driveway to reach it is quite tight so we didn’t chance it. However there is ample parking on the street. We would definitely return if in that area again.

Pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at the cottage and the area. Look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Thank you for leaving feedback. Best Wishes, Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "The score would have been higher but for the awful drain smell from the utility room/ downstairs toilet."

The information folder in the cottage did advise that in rainy/ damp weather there would be a drain odour and advised to keep the door closed to the utility room. There was little rain and no damp conditions during our stay but the odour was quite overpowering so the door was kept permanently shut. Even then it did seep through to the adjacent kitchen. The problem needs to be addressed.

Thank you for your feedback and we sincerely apologise for the smell. The owner has immediately acted on the feedback and the plumber is due at the property on the next changeover. Manor Cottages. Property Owner

  • "We had a wonderful, comfortable stay at Cowfair!"

It's a lovely old detached cottage - tucked away just off the High Street in picturesque Chipping Campden - a great base for a winter break! We are impressed with how well equipped and spacious it is and really appreciated some improvements and upgrades which had taken place since our last visit. We have stayed here 3 or 4 times now - can't remember exactly, but we love it and would happily return in the future. We're always amazed at how peaceful the location is, given that it's so close to the centre of town.

Thank you for your feedback with regards to your stay at Cowfair Cottage. Wow you must love it if it's your 4th time back. Chipping Campden is a lovely location to base yourselves and we hope to make it a 5th time in the future. Property Owner

  • "Cowfair is a real gem."

Perfectly situated on a back lane in the pretty north Cotswold town Chipping Campden, it is quiet but not isolated. The cottage is spacious with elegant rooms throughout. The kitchen is perfect not just for meal production, but for family/group sittings, while the sitting room (at the back of the unit), is very comfortable, with doors opening out to a terrace and garden beyond. Upstairs there's a spacious bathroom, two double bedrooms and a delightful hallway with a vintage writing desk. If like my wife and I, you are travelling without a car, the town is well positioned on bus routes to Stratford-Upon-Avon, and the gorgeous town Broadway, only 15mins away.

Thank you for your feedback. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay and would love to welcome you back any time in the future. Property Owner

  • "As there were no numbers on the houses on the longish lane ie each house had a name only - then having no guide to position along the lane one has to drive slowly looking for the name on each house/cottage ."

  • "The cottage is in just about the best location in Chipping Campden, itself the most charming Cotswold village."

The cottage garden is perfect - secluded and peaceful.

This market town defines the saying "good things come in small packages" as it proves itself to be a wonderful place for tourists to stay. Chipping Campden sits in the northern part of the Cotswolds and boasts many historical buildings from St. James' church where the Chipping Camden Music Festival is held every year, to the early 17th century market hall upon which the town prides itself. Not only does the town have a rich history but much more, the high street is laced with charming Cotswold stone buildings with a range of shops and pubs. Chipping Campden has held its own 'Olimpick Games' since the early 1600s including peculiar sports such as 'shin-kicking', most certainly worth lining your holiday up with to experience something so unique. For a dose of famous history, head to the birthplace of William Shakespeare in Stratford-upon-Avon just 12 short miles away, it offers some charming little buildings, bookshops, theatres and museums.
