• "An absolute joy - a wonderful break."

  We had lots of rest and relaxation and a couple of trips into Stratford for shopping, browsing and lunching! We also enjoyed a trip to the RSC (The Other One)….welcoming staff, lovely meal at Susie’s Cafe. The play was well acted and a reminder of The New Real about corruption in politics (we know that!! Shocking). We also visited Anne Hathaway’s Cottage and Charlcote - both wonderful. Thank you to the hosts who were wonderful. We’ll definitely be back.

• "What a wonderful week at Holly Cottage."

  As soon as we arrived, we felt relaxed in such a beautiful cottage in a lovely village location ( and only a short drive or bus journey to Stratford upon Avon). Len our host was very friendly and helpful. We were treated to some fresh eggs for breakfast during our stay. We will definitely return to Holly Cottage and I would recommend it to friends and family unreservedly. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

• "We had a fabulous week at Holly Cottage!"

  Beautiful, quiet street with friendly neighbours. Lovely light, airy house with excellent blinds & curtains for a good night’s sleep. Very comfortable beds and fans provided in the rooms which was extremely welcome as it was a hot day when we checked in. Very well equipped, modern kitchen, including coffee machine. Very useful having three bathrooms living with three boys!! Nice hot, powerful shower! The living room was spacious enough for four of us to eat and watch a movie together with two decent sized sofas. And it was a real bonus for us having the electric car charging facility, as my husband came to join us for a couple of days and was able to easily charge his car to return home. Plenty of storage for clothes, belongings, food etc. Park just round the corner where my teens went to play football before & after dinner. Very close to Stratford-upon-Avon and a really good base to get around the area generally. I would highly recommend Holly Cottage to anyone wishing to stay in the area, and would definitely stay here again!

• "Holly Cottage deserves to be loved and we did love it!"

  We had a brilliant week and highly recommend this area. 8 minutes by bus to the centre of Stratford. The New Inn pub is 4 minutes from the cottage and has a varied menu. I can’t say enough about the fantastic facilities at the cottage or the hosts, who were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

• "Holly Cottage is an outstanding property!"

  Immaculately clean and extremely well presented. Clearly a lot of care and attention to detail has gone into it. The beds are very comfortable and the seating area is very homely and cosy in the evenings. Beautiful bathrooms with super luxurious towels provided. Lots of considerate little touches like fresh milk waiting in the fridge and shampoo and body wash with the towels and the delicious fresh eggs that were brought round by the owner! I really can't speak highly enough of this cottage. By far the nicest holiday home we've ever stayed in. A truly lovely week that we will remember fondly. Many thanks. Stacy.

  The owners who live next door have done a great job in converting this building into a most comfortable two bedroom cottage. Besides the Royal Shakespeare Company close at hand there are National Trust houses and gardens, wonderful villages and countryside, so lots to see and do. Highly recommend.

• "We had a wonderful week at Holly Cottage with our 2 young boys (age 6 and 9)."

  The cottage itself is beautiful (loved the decor throughout!) and has such a warm, homely vibe. We enjoyed lots of cosy evenings watching movies after busy days out. We also enjoyed using the kitchen facilities to make some meals in aswell as enjoying meals out in the local pub and in Stratford itself. The owners have prepared a very informative guest book which provides a plethora of suggestions and on this basis we even ordered a local pizza delivery. There are so many places to visit near to the cottage! We spent days in Stratford, National Trust Properties, Warwick Castle, the Cotswolds and more. The village itself is so peaceful and I am already missing waking up to the sounds of the birds chirping as the only noise to be heard. My husband really liked the social club across the road where he was able to watch a couple of football matches. We went as a family one night and we were welcomed warmly … even bought some local eggs from behind the bar! Thank you for a wonderful stay (and for the Easter card, Easter eggs and biscuits) - we will 100% be returning!

• "Excellent property, perfect for our family of four."

  The property is comfortable and cosy. Despite the cold weather outside we were very warm inside. Location is great for visiting small towns around the Cotswolds and Stratford is literally 6 minutes away. Extremely well located. Len is a great host and was very welcoming. There are some great idea for walks in the guide book and overall I’d say this was a brilliant place to stay.

• "Beautiful cottage, we met Len on arrival as we were early and he called next day to check everything was ok or if we needed anything, he called it a Tardis and indeed it is very spacey inside."

  Very well kept and clean throughout, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and loved the welcome cookies, thank you! Helen at 6’ 3” especially appreciated the lovely big bath :-) Thanks to the very good visitor information book you have in the property with detailed information on walks locally, we were able to easily follow the paths and enjoyed early morning walks most days, playing Pooh sticks on the bridge, also fortunate enough to see a kingfisher and several herons as we walked by river banks, brought fresh honey and cake at the farm. The book also includes info on eating out and all the various appliances in the cottage which was great! Can highly recommend the New Inn just a few short steps away at the top of the road, good bus service into town and around so you can leave the car at home. If you decide on a rest day in the middle of your week as we did, mum is 94 we didn’t want to wear her out totally!, there is a great puzzle in the drawer to do with some challenging unusual shapes, we had fun completing it. We hope to visit again next year, we looked at rebooking to visit during the Christmas fair week in Stratford upon Avon this year but sadly that week was already booked up. The Butterfly farm in town is great to visit on a cold day, it’s lovely and warm as well as really interesting. Cadbury World was only a 45 minute drive away for a wet day, very enjoyable and especially as we got special mid week rates. Bourton on the Water is definitely worth a visit, with the model village and Birdland’s penguins.

• "This was a lovely cottage tucked away in a small village 2 miles outside Stratford."

  On arrival we were greeted with a spotlessly clean house, which was more spacious than what we thought it was going to be. There was a few nice touches for us on arrival such as milk in the fridge, biscuits in a jar and toiletries and fresh towels on each of the beds. The bathroom facilities again were spotless and it was very good having 3 toilets for use. The washing machine was very handy for us as a family however we felt a clothes airer would have been useful or even an outside line to be able to hang stuff on as not everything is suitable for the dryer which was incorporated in the washing machine. We visited the local Inn for the Sunday lunch carvery which was a hit with the family. We were also able to go to a number of Cotswold villages and towns, do the Stratford boat cruise and city sightseeing tour, visit Warwick Castle, Cadbury World and Drayton Manor and still have time for shopping, sightseeing and multiple coffee shops. Would highly recommend this as a good place to stay for anyone wanting to visit the Warwickshire / Gloucestershire area. Many thanks.

  Very clean. The property supplied everything needed to a high quality. One of best kitted out houses I've ever stayed in. We were very comfortable. Would recommend. Great pub 1 min walk.   It is beautifully decorated, very well equipped, clean and warm, and exactly as described, with parking for two cars, for example. We also liked the small village of Clifford Chambers, which is well located for visits in the area and the local pub a minute or twos walk away. We enjoyed meals there on two occasions. • "The cottage was up to the high standard that we have experienced on our previous two visits."

  Communication from the owners was first class. We had a little difficulty with TV reception at one point, but this resolved itself the next day. The property was very cosy during the cold weather, and the Christmas tree was a nice touch.

  The welcome and contact from the owners was perfect. It's a question of taste, but we find the beds a little too hard. Even though the weather was extremely hot, the cottage remained very comfortable. This was our second visit.

  It was lovely to see you again and we are delighted that you managed to stay cool during such a hot spell of weather. We took care to invest in high quality locally made beds and mattresses. One guest commented in there review that it was the most comfortable beds he had ever slept in. It really is a matter of taste. Property Owner

  This is a lovely cottage with every possible item you will need for your stay The owners made us feel very welcome and offered lots of recommendations to make our stay more enjoyable Bedroom's although comfortable would benefit from a fan in summer as it was difficult to sleep in the heat The cottage is in a lovely village and we would certainly recommend it as a lovely break away from it all

  With the cottage's location in a beautiful village so close to Stratford upon Avon with the opportunity for easy walks and access to good shopping opportunities as well as many National Trust properties, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. The cottage itself was one of the most comfortable and well equipped in which we have ever stayed. Thank you to our hosts, on hand to answer any questions but never intrusive.

  It was spotless.

  We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay. We treasure our house keepers and they do their best to keep Holly Cottage spotless. When a burly gas engineer arrived to service the boiler during a Friday handover he was confronted by our housekeepers. “You will not come in until we are finished “ he was told in no uncertain terms. “And when you do you will take off your shoes, not use the bathrooms and eat nothing whilst your in the property. • "We had a lovely stay at Holly Cottage, really good base and in walking distance to explore Stratford-Upon-Avon with numerous pubs and restaurants."

  The cottage has everything you need for a modern and comfortable stay. We took advantage of the electrical car charging point which is a big plus. As golfers, we had a massive choice of really top notch courses at very reasonable prices. Also the New Inn (5 minutes walk away) had a great selection of pub fayre at a good price. The property itself is a lovely recent conversion with all the home comforts you would expect on a visit at a great price.

• "Extremely good location for walks, the Cotswolds & Stratford-upon-Avon."

  Virtually everything needed had been thought of within the cottage, just one small suggestion - a television, or radio, would be nice for the main bedroom. Would use again when visiting the area.
