  • "My own mistake was not to consult Sykes' reviews first."

What a terrible stay we experienced. It was still there that the beds and the shower room are suitable for small people (maximum 170 cm). The gas stove was not ready to boil, it took 30/45 minutes to get a pan of water to boil. The park owner is a very nasty man who I don't think is happy that holidaymakers come to the park (most of the people who stay there are permanent residents of the park), But lastly, the hygiene, mold in the bathroom, stains everywhere in the carpeting, a sofa that sticks to you as soon as you sit on it, bedrooms very dirty, it was a hellish holiday and a waste of money, DO NOT go here!

  • "We were very happy in general."

Due to a chronic health condition we had to use the cooking facilities more than we wished and we discovered that the saucepans were dirty. They had to be scrubbed before use. Apart from that no complaints every thing was clean and worked well. The spot was good and if you want to visit places half hours drive in any direction puts you within reach of a lot to do. So all in all a good place to stay.

  • "Lovely place to stay, well equipped, small problem on first day, which was dealt with promptly and efficiently."

Surprised there were no instructions on how to use various equipment but we managed ok. A great week with plenty of places to visit and enjoy. Sykes Cottages the best we’ve stayed in. Thank you

  • "On the plus side, seating was comfortable and facilities were OK."

TV was good,it allowed access to my Netflix account and Amazon Prime was available. On the negative side beds weren't very comfortable. We were also very disappointed to find there were no recycle facilities on the site.

  • "We had difficulty on arrival finding the correct key safe to the lodge at the park’s barrier as it was not labelled."

Luckily one of the lodge owners arrived shortly after us and helped us find the correct key safe by simple elimination. As this was noted previously by other guests it should be addressed for a better sense of arrival! The lodge was clean and smelt very nice with lovely fragrances in every room. The bedding is very good quality, however the presentation of the bed looking very dishevelled and un-ironed was a bit disappointing. The kitchen is very cluttered with no space on the surfaces and cupboards to put any personal items. There were a lot of left over items from previous guests and half empty cleaning bottles which could have been discarded or tided up. The bedroom cupboards were similarly untidy full of beddings and towels leaving little room for guests to use. We found the bed and mattress very comfortable and great to have Smart TVs both in the living room and bedroom. The living room sofa cushions are very worn out and extremely uncomfortable to sit on for a long period. Despite these issues which can be easily rectified we felt very cosy in the lodge and had a pleasant stay.

Thank you, for choosing our lodge for the stay, and the feedback. We know you extended your stay for a second and a third week and have expressed an interest in staying again. We pride ourselves on providing comfort and cleanliness for our guests, most of whom have been complimentary. When the stay was extended our management and housekeeping service twice offered to attend to clean, service and change linens. This service was declined. The park management have recently installed a new key box display and we have taken the opportunity to install a new key box. Thank you, again. Property Owner

  • "We been there twice this year and loved it but can you get a bigger key safe as we had problems getting the key s in it and it did not say the number on the key safe ."

Also the bed needs a new Mattress. You fixed the door thank you and we will be back up next year x

Thank you, for using our lodge. We haven't had a problem with the key box, but we will check it & add the lodge number. All of the soft furnishings, including bedding will be are scheduled to be checked. We look forward to seeing you next year. Property Owner

  • "Probably the best appointed property we have stayed in."

Everything and more provided including shower gel etc.! Close to Evesham and many National Trust properties. Found the keys ok but didn't realise that the white plastic at the back of the keysafe was actually the key to raise the barrier! It would be helpful if this was added to the information regarding key collection. The boiler locked out twice (L2) and required the reset button to be pushed, after which it worked fine. It may need the boiler to be serviced. Apart from this a great place. Would recommend.

Thank you for the feedback. We are really pleased with the comments & recommendation. As always our housekeeping deserve credit for making the lodge welcoming. We will ensure that the Sykes instructions include the gate pass and check the boiler. Property Owner

  • "A first class lodge."

The best we have been to for everything. All colour co-ordinated and finished to a very high spec. Lots of things in the kitchen that you would not expect to find. Beds comfortable. Cannot fault anything. Well done to the owners. Will definitely recommend. Thank you for lovely relaxing accommodation on a very quiet site.

Thank you. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Our housekeeper deserves most of the credit. Property Owner

Iron leaks so shorted the electrics. Contacted sykes..1st call no answer 2nd call hung up on. 3rd call arranged a call back which still hasn't happened to this day. Called the owners having checked the office ( closed) after 11am. They said they would call someone and get back.........still waiting. Spoke to a lodge owner who came to the rescue. Door on the lodge is out of alignment and has to be manhandled shut . Barrier on access road open all day until i drove back and it tried to close on top of my car
