• "We enjoyed our stay at Peewit Barn which is well located for visiting the Cotswolds and several National Trust properties."

  It was easy to find and there was plenty of easy parking for 2 cars. The main bedroom, lounge and kitchen are spacious and well equipped but we agree with some other visitors that the second bedroom is too small to be comfortable, even for one adult let alone two. The welcome pack was generous which we appreciated, especially the lemon drizzle cake.

• "Very nice comfortable accommodation, well presented and equipped."

  My only comment would be that there is hardly any storage in the smaller bedroom so this property would be most suitable for a family of four where those using the second bedroom can use the wardrobe/chests of drawers in the main bedroom. This might be less convenient for two unrelated couples. Didn't affect me as I was largely there on my own. Sally the housekeeper was very obliging, helpful and friendly.

• "This barn conversion has everything you could possibly need for your holiday."

  It's spacious, has two huge sofas in the living room, a well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. Sadly we were under the weather during our stay but this meant we were indoors far more than originally planned and having the space to lounge around when you're ill is a bonus. It's also just off the main road, but far enough away to be peaceful. Within 4 minutes drive of the village and close to lots of other lovely places to visit. We'd most definitely recommend Peewit Barn.

• "We picked the property as it said it had wardrobes in both bedrooms ( we have cottages holidays three times a year and hate it when clothes can’t be put away as at home) The second bedroom was a huge disappointment, for two adults, one 76 and one 78 it was too small to be comfortable."

  It was impossible to walk front on the one side of the bed, making it awkward to get in and out of bed. The wardrobe in that room was the smallest I had ever seen, enough for one person not two. One bedside cabinet, again enough for one person not two. My underwear and tops had to be stored on the chair. On the positive side the bathrooms were good, the kitchen and sitting room were better than good and the beds were comfortable. The extras provided were much appreciated. I think it should have been in the particulars that we were expected to strip the beds, 4 people with a combined age of 315, in a tight space really couldn’t do that, and would not have booked had we known. The area was lovely, so many beautiful places to visit without long drive. In summary, the barn was fine for two people, or maybe two adults and child, but not four adults.

• "My wife and my Mum thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Peewit Barn."

• "Excellent property."

  We were Very comfortable and highly recommend. Lovely welcome pack, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits and lemon drizzle cake. Even store cupboard staples salt, pepper etc. Dishwasher tablets and enough of them too, also extra toilet rolls and towels should you need them. All these things making a difference to your stay. Keep it up! Too many property hosts not going this extra mile, especially since covid which I personally feel is used as an excuse. Hope to stay again.

• "The property was just perfect."

  Excellent location, so peaceful but still with the town nearby with plenty of shops etc. The barn had everything you needed and more, very well equipped. Very clean and very well presented. Owners and Sykes were on hand and very helpful when we locked ourselves out of the property. Would highly recommend.

• "The barn is very well equipped and comfortable."

  The owner is very generous with giving tea, cake, biscuits, cleaning products etc. There is Excellent internet access and central heating. We would have liked one or two smaller, higher armchairs as the lovely looking furniture is deep seated and low for us oldies. The barn is excellently situated for touring the Cotswolds, a visit to Broadway is highly recommended. Sally the caretaker is very friendly and helpful. We had a great time.

• "Lovely cottage in a good location."

  Very good parking, very spacious and welcoming. Provides everything you need. Didn't see the cleaner/caretaker for several days but that was because we didn't need her (did have her number incase of an emergency), did see her towards the end of our stay and she was very friendly and wanted to be sure we were happy with everything. Everything was excellent, no negatives at all.

• "Had a lovely and peaceful stay at Peewit Barn !"

  I would have given excellent ratings across the board, However, theres Just a couple of items which I feel need addressing, namely,.. the hard Bed Mattresses, and the cooker temperature control settings were hand written in marker pen, the manufactures original etchings being completely worn away. These issues I would like to stress, in no way detracted from our most enjoyable and wonderful stay1 It would have been nice to have met the owners who I assume live next door in Peewit House, but there was no one home during our stay!

• "Lovely place to stay."

  Spotlessly clean, well-equipped and lots to see and do. We had a great time (despite two days of 40 degrees!) There's an excellent outdoor space where we could sit out when it was too hot to be indoors, including a decent size private garden. The housekeeper was very kind and friendly and texted us to say we could arrive several hours early if we wanted. All perfect. Thank you

  Everything we needed was provided & a very generous amount indeed!. Thanks for the welcome pack of goodies upon arrival. We met Sally the house keeper and what a lovely lady she was!. I left a couple of items in a drawer & only discovered them missing when arrived home. I rang Sally & she immediately said she would package them up & send in post. I received them the very next day!. Fantastic service and great attention to end an excellent week away!. I can really recommend this property to any one thinking of a holiday in the Cotswolds!!. • "We had a lovely holiday and have stayed here before."

  However, one small critism, we found the double bed extremely hard and uncomfortable. Cupboards were well stocked and thank you for the welcome gift of lemon cake, biscuits, milk and orange juice. Enjoyed sitting outside and fascinated by the mistletoe growing on apple tree. Thank you also for the change of bed linen as we stayed for two weeks. Lots of places to visit and we had a relaxing time.

• "Comfortable cottage in good position for touring the area."

  Comfortable chair and sofas (Not always the case.) Basic everyday items supplied, washing up liquid etc. Makes shopping for a short stay much easier. Documentation from Sykes describes property as being in Bourton on the Heath, it is actually in Barton on the Heath.

• "Found that the barn to be to near a busy road ."

  A dog from next door Barking for most of the day .delivery for next door was knocking at our front door one at eight o’clock in the morning and drivers looking for the entrance into next door and roaming around the garden looking for one . Also picture of the barn showed showed scenes of open field which was only a small view from through next door front garden .So with dog barking Traffic and people wandering about the holiday was far from peaceful

• "Peewit Barn gave us a really good base to explore the Cotswolds for a week: it is close to many of the lovely small towns we wanted to visit and was easy to find with the postcode, although we think it should be advertised as being at Kitebrook, not Barton on the Heath."

  Good local shops in Moreton-in-Marsh. There is a lot to like about Peewit Barn: it is comfortable, with a very spacious lounge and good kitchen/dining area. Cooker, hob, dishwasher and washing machine were good, although we feel that some more cups/mugs would be useful. Although there were only a few dishwasher tablets when we arrived and we bought more, someone (presumably Sally, the cleaner) left a full box at the front door one afternoon, so she was clearly being positive and helpful. The beds are very comfortable and the bedrooms gave us enough space for a week's stay. The bathroom and en-suite shower room were well laid out and the showers were easy to use: we were surprised that we were provided with bath towels rather than bath sheets: for a modern holiday property, bath sheets would be more in line with what we were expecting. Although the accommodation was clean, there were a couple of corners where a fuller Spring clean would help, possibly Covid Lockdown provides an an opportunity for this, although we understand this could depend on a worthwhile gap between lettings. We understand that the current owner has only just taken over Peewit Barn, and we are very glad that our original booking was honoured: there probably hasn't been time to do the repainting, both internal and external, which would make it very presentable indeed. Although we have mentioned a couple of things where we think there is room for improvement, we really enjoyed our stay at Peewit Barn and would happily book again.
